Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls, welcome back to new heights, a jokes original show presented by waves, force and entertainment. We are your host. This is my brother Jason Kelsey. I am his little brother travel's Kelly. And new heights is a show that we record in person.
I were in kids, the city, and in kinds, the city. I thought I would wear my eighty seven jersey, but can look at the character .
of character .
to IT festival. Oh yeah, that's in the land .
I want to.
We're in the big ed's house.
We're in the big east of um yeah new heights comes out every wednesday, ladies and gentlemen and um don't forget to subscribe on youtube um or anywhere you get your podcast and follow us on our social media platforms. Add new heights, show Jason what we get.
We got a great up. So coming up one, we're going to break down the cheese big win in the big area. Recap my bike week, which was the more eventful the most by week, especially when I go on anywhere, get out will talk, position, swap and get into a deep dive in the coaching.
But first, no news, no news. So we have finally regained our number one spot in the sports spot gets road an apple. And i've also regained IT in spotify. Thanks all for the best.
yeah. Thank you guys. You guys the best.
It's pretty remarket. I can't believe they were back up at the top, but man.
that feels good. Man s good, even feels Better when you win and you're at the top, you don't mean absolutely you don't know what I mean you never lost.
That's a good point. Well, more importantly, um we also got a nice shut out from uh the win iraq Johnson which not to like never thought I would be someone that would converse and actually I didn't converse what he just treated at really I never thought my name would come out of the rock in verbiage or text um so that was probably a highlight.
I even believe that was real when we told you I did not.
Crazy a capable.
We're being in a fantasy world.
everyone. Yeah I mean um you know it's IT is crazy and someone of that status can instantly within a few seconds uh say something to somebody and they change and changes your perception .
yeah no one percent. I was like sitting there for the next like ten fifteen minutes trying to like say back I know if I give I didn't say .
anything back. I just like i'm. Realize some give.
you know, you, you got, you got to say if they said what?
Oh yeah, they said, my Kelsey boys. t. Kelsey at T, K, L, C, at Jason Kelsey.
Two bad dudes in the game. No burger king hands. Hear umbrella.
All I got are two fucked up kalas, t. Rex hands for the culture, crying lifing, uh, mogi face. Uh, much respect, always in good. Seeing you trade at .
the expose was it's always cool running into them. I mean, you know, everybody, how do you know all this? Because I actually, you know the rock, I leave the house Jason, you have to leave the how you saw that you met a bunch of people this past week because you love the house.
How about that about that are you going to do to people see the house? It's good to know well um yeah .
put on their game, they fit and get .
out there then so yeah thank you for clarifying um the rock um pretty awesome. Thank you much respect. H I guess we should explain what working hands are IT sounds like people are little unsure.
Maybe they miss that ad campaign from a few years back, uh but there's all ad campaign the burger was running uh to emphasize how big the wapper was. And they did so by saying that made people's hands like small. And in the body building community, I think think a lot of people use machine based exercises. Uh so that was the joke there .
was that yeah they'd .
never work on their hands. And you know people that are really actually functionally strong usually have big farms, strong hands, kale hands, fingers that don't work um yeah this guy guys .
probably had no idea this guys out here playing football with nine fingers.
I'll still IT still goes there IT just doesn't close at that apple and go there. But that I can't do, can do that, can do that. Got nothing from that .
knockdown down. So so you you table are, you walk around .
with marked. For a couple years I had to closed my fish like this and good like that, but eventually you used, used to IT.
So if if you were upon somebody right now, what IT hurt you more.
or them you not expose a punch with these tunnels. So a good lesson for you. These tunnels you, you get, you get a boxing fractures there. This manator. So I know that right, but always IT with these uncles.
Nice .
drag. officially. Member, the new hyde crew speaking up, do we have a name for our fans yet? Is I .
think we have, I think we have to come up with one. Do we come up? They up. I tell you what will take all the suggestions that you guys got.
Do you have any suggestions? Unless do you have anything? Becomes like new heights crews.
good new heights. I'm not this creative on spot.
yeah. I usually just go to the source new heights congregation series .
too serious listeners.
obviously that's .
like two new height.
just like very what else we get. New heights, new heights workers are lurking. No, no, that that makes the sound creepy. Yeah, the new heights gathering man.
you're on a role, but none of these are working.
right? I'm literally just reading the source that for fans. As usually I would go with everything. High house.
the high house .
family. Yeah, where in your house right now? Whatever, you guys be much more creative.
Please, please.
yeah, please come up with a good name for our fans, making fans. We got our fans mention of the week. nice. We do love these comments.
by the way, so please keep keeping common.
And we got a few this week. So here we got one from sea .
sun instagram.
If your football positions were switched, who would be Better in? There were .
always one on. So Jason's already two hundred and fifty pounds, I would easily be able to hold my own in the middle of line playing guards. Not so much tackle can handle.
I can cause you're you're not necessarily the strong this guy, but you're very tRicky. And that's where I think I am. TRicky, tRicky when I black and keep hands off me more than I.
You would get roy, you try to, and place from, maybe if you took a year to put a little bit away on in development.
I just do the Jason healthy again .
way I switch right now. You use a snap all block a three hundred eighty upon those girl.
You would have to take for me to get on the Jason kell sea gain wait plan, where you just drink cake, beer every week, yeah, and eat pizzas. And I would have to gain some way. I would have to gain some way. I would have to get up to what are you right now to seventy, to eighty two, nine.
two, ninety.
Muscle does way more than fat.
never fat, and must away more than tight. Dance.
too, I think, is definitely a no. And Jason, Jason is such a good athlete. Everyone's already seen a modern space.
I can you? I tried to play time.
I know I .
tried play in and before I ran a deep out, no.
please tell.
oh my god, your film. Tell me what h of before the jets game, uh, let's see, cars was still unfilled off the forth precessing game, I went out there, rans and reentry, ting and real and filled out like my, okay, I can't do this anymore, but here's why it's me. That I would be Better is because you can hide a tight and I can case about there's a lot of titans in the nfl that aren't catchers.
We can call some blocking plays. We can call some outside zones right at the point of attack. I can set that point really well. There's nothing you can call if someone going on a bear front to put .
a three hundred and it's going to in there's one alignment amongst the five that you can hide center would be the one I would .
do that yeah I mean you can do stuff attacker that you need chiba and thugs and things like that which can help out for sure .
you don't get any .
chipper s it's a fight down for its me and all day .
and but against who a guy they came move .
um I wish that was the case that way. That was when I first got only and then around four, five years ago, even going say we start put like Better pass just in this side and then I got real hard. So but you guys don't see a lot of five down for us to pet. And well, you've say a little bit more this year, the direction out there.
We're a little bit of various depending, but we will see how that last.
right? Well, so I think we both degree i'd be Better time and .
chavez would not .
be fair question. Second question from surgery. Surgery time on for well is a great nickname, a great name on twitter.
What is the weird thing you guys have autographed? Um I don't really have anything that weird. I me, I guess, like a golf ball, baseball, yes.
Yeah, no, I got things coming in my mind. I been asked to sign shoe a baby, but I think I I always make jokes when kids come, hey, can you like to get consent? But the parent was the one actually sign their baby.
So I had not sign, I didn't sign that. I didn't not put sharp on a baby. And I said, now, sorry, I can do this.
so refuse the baby yeah.
if that baby would win the hospital felt extremely .
to .
the house like it's hand ARM, I don't know, is an ink bad for sharpie bed .
for skin at .
that point? There you're dad. You should know these kind of things.
okay? I have my dad and my babies have injured. Ted, lots of things way worse. And show.
You're killed in a that you're still in this phase of like, oh, b babies are like a macular creatures that like and this is what all new father's go to you the first baby who dropped the past fire on the ground and you got to take IT up, put IT in boiling water, make sure it's completely sAnitary before you put IT back in the kids mouth. You know what happens now with elliot and second room? No, there no ten.
Second rule, that thing could be under the couch, live in his life if she's crying and picking IT up, giving IT the wipe off and it's going right in the mouth. So you say, so fina, baby, give me a baby. No.
see this entire time, I think i'm doing the right thing. And now I just am an an for a side .
of that baby. The ref looked like he asked mike Evans from around this week to the game. The nfl has the that .
was definitely autograph first.
I think so he was in the tunnel after .
the game went up to him like I resigned something and sure was for a friend .
and remember then .
trying to get rid of.
trying to get rid of the video evidence. Yeah, I mean, no, I don't want to buy your ads.
N, B, C, if a ref ever came up to you after game and asked you to sign something for me.
please, I just said I sign a baby. Of course, I turned something very.
Referee.
third, third comment is from dona elsa at d elsey. One, I think I know this person. Mom, what was your most memorable dare in high school?
Man, I only IT was good if you were there. Yeah.
I mean, but that's yeah.
I mean, you, I will go at IT definitely teeth up to the story for sure. I don't. I I wash a much of a dair devil. I think Jason jum jumped into things.
No, I wasn't even at there. I was like she's representing ing when I was in high school, in middle school. Show jacket s IT just gotten really popular. So like when has a freshman? They're filming this whole leg bunches of clips that would show seniors were senors seniors .
were doing and .
they were using a lot of freshman.
which was a class project.
I don't think so. And that is just refine, but they are using uh freshman to do a lot of saniez uh get on tape from life and um they asked me if I wouldn't mind getting some break away sweat pants and um swim soon underneath, tell the h swept off and then jump in to a trash can like .
I was a dive this is .
a notorious stand up. Jump gets stuck in the trash can, the tracking tips over and right away myr .
security. We please get this guy out of here.
which I don't know. I don't think that's a.
that was one one hundred percent there.
Well, no, but i'm saying.
what do I get even to get in trouble for that?
Um IT wasn't like .
a sturdy the piece IT .
was the social IT was like a cafeteria .
IT was the social room. IT was the social of the cafeteria. Yeah, I mean, what do you do?
I remember I know. Yeah, I can't harsh.
Don't you do job?
Our trash cans we talking about. I was confused then why I got like kind of trouble in an there are a lot of other things I know that I definitely deserve to get the trouble for anyways. Thanks, mom. Thanks, everyone, for the comments and questions to .
keep to all high school kids out there. We all need to be jumping any trash hands with any schoolbag irons.
I don't a listen if you if you're in high, I feel so that's an appropriate level of like pushing the boundary right there. You you can just be .
a good tuition. You know if my son, the worst thing he does .
in high school job in to a rest and I was .
the worst thing you did, either way, thank you guys for the comments. Yes, thank you. People come in, baby, keep come. We love, we love to hear from you guys move in on the twelve bold topics. A week seven in the nfl. This is how I IT goes, Jason, teasing up about my game and sense Jason didn't have a game in week seven. T IT up on what his by week was looking like yeah so going .
in just brother brother back in the wind column, cheese over the miners now has been played really good too. Just had a black bust trade. Um so lot of things have been looking up. I was very curious to see others game went um and I followed on my phone because I was at the files playoff game but um yeah often when crazy put forty four and what I think done into that game was the number one ranked defense in the nfl .
I know was up there .
um yeah based on D V O, A six best offence of gain in modern history.
Wow that's .
you know the number one I do because .
i'm reading the same prompter that you are.
This is my section. Why are you read of my section?
Go tell everybody who the number .
one just I want, you know.
can city chief s vers the cave and Browns, who was homecoming for me and we had the best offense of game. I remember together.
There was a fun in two thousand nine game.
You were at that game. Yeah, you saw.
you saw the best offence of them.
We were on fire pad was was slowing IT around every, I think cream hunt, also clever native north ohio. He he was run and all over the place also had a touchdown in the screen clean.
An ended up acquiring him bravely is because he was a monster that game.
one hundred percent, he he was untouchable that game. But similar to this forty nine nine game, pat was died in, he was died in. He was also spreading IT around to everyone. Everyone got a piece of the this past game. Mark is I think I have one eleven often like three or four catches receiving and um on top of that joe Smith duster my dog jojo went by as pat mac, if you would say .
but and shout out to the pet .
back we show and it's it's fine, man. When everyone gets a piece of IT, I mean, we call harman three, two sounds off a couple Carries and in a just sweep, that kind is a past. When everybody gets a piece .
of the .
pie is a little .
forward touch. It's faster.
He is like a one yard in front of them.
just .
nice. But I mean, heads off to the forty nine years there. Obviously a great team, very well coach team in shana hand and a demo ryan, I think the meko rb and up be in a head coach in this life, I hope one thousand percent .
to play with the filled of eagles. Uh, for everyone that is not aware, he was our starting middle backer for old man and hope I don't get this wrong.
And for he was a stable for that team for sure.
His captain, I mean, honest, is not a shock to he succeed in the coaching room. He was a guy that was the coach on the field. Um you know he was a huge leader for us in this time and filled out what he's what he's done and .
ilit office these kind of tweet that cover three on ibd, what he's done in and france is kind of tweet that cover three that came from the gas bradly c three. He's playing a lot more shell, a lot more variations. Blitz is a little bit more plays a little bit more man.
And I mean, it's more of a junk ball than what you would typically get out of that kind of defense. And he's had him at the top of the charts, but I think coach read came in with an unbelievable game. Plane kitchen thrown on.
Cultured mt. Nag is one of my favorite cultures of all time. Yeah absolutely love that. Got to death. He's bent in the building.
Um just the understanding of how he teaches the past game and how he teaches a lot of the third down stuff, a lot of the red zone stuff just makes you so much more clear for guys to understand what's the intentions of this play yeah and IT makes easy, makes IT way more easier on us to go out there and actually, you know run the play. How is supposed to be a design and you throw in the enemy as well as coach hacked with the run game. And IT was just all, all, all around.
We knew we had a lot of confidence going into that game to be able to to Terry up their defense. And oh, we have to do is bring the energy. Yes, kotex ban.
He he got me fired that we always have a meeting with the office of line. Tight ends are running back the night before. And he said, you know what? Make this game personal and not actually make IT personal against for the guides across the, across the ball.
If you didn't like what you put on film last time, put put all of them right here on your heart, and you go out there. You you put, you put something on film that you can be proud of. yeah.
And take a one play to time. Do that every single play, play your taye off and put something put something on film that you'd be proud of. And now it's just in register because I don't think when we were planning against the bills, we played with as much hard, as much, much aggression in the entire course of the game.
Uh you know there were spots the point of the game that we that you can feel in, but at the same time the the same for reg game the whole time I just felt like the energy was up, the the communication was high, the um the domination of the team was full through to keep the foot on the pet the whole time. And that's a one worth line around doing that offensively with the old line plane, their tail finishing guys downfield, getting getting a part of the piles and and not letting just guys, you know, rally to the ball and get a late hit that kind of stuff. You just feed off that kind of energy. And and and when I tell you IT was one play after another, we know might we had the pic early, but that's that's the intersection sion that we can clean up a get kind of tipped in the air little bit in our Young receiver sky more. He's going to be a study and I can't wait to see him to just keep growing, keep growing because he's electric when he has a ball, his hands we just got to key find a way you .
get on that yeah and I mean, I think you know yeah doesn't sound like anything crazy what you said exit or coach yeah um but sometimes you need those little minders and the best coaches and the best leaders end up feel in that right and it's okay. We're over thinking this. We are getting too far ahead of ourselves. Uh, everybody just focus on your job, focus on each play, dominating your matchup, taking IT personal. I mean that sometimes as little reminders make all the difference and especially night before i'm a big friend of the night before meetings .
because don't pick yeah I mean, the gate I can get you fired up for sure yeah .
think is so much about firing up and they is honestly what you're thinking about before you go to bed like I I really feel like a lot of times what i've visualized happening the next day before I go to sleep, uh, ends up almost coming true.
You you source of her.
I think so I just think you like, I think when you visit.
obviously not like the newton.
but when you visualize things the night before and you like go to sleep on that, like you visualizing yourself, uh, you know, taking in one place and you visual yourself, uh, like, you know, are you picking ball, cares up, running to the ball, doing all these things right before you go to bed. I think IT does make a difference the next day.
one hundred percent on huge on visualizing stuff. I love to just think about I I like looking at diagrams and imagining versus every single coverage, how i'm going to run this road to get open. Yes, where i'm gna get IT how how the the pounds or the defensive piece is gonna relate to every single route and I just like that would give me fired up during the week when coach read and all the office of coaching staff are putting up to plays in the game plan. Um that's some my favorite stuff and I feel like that helps out one thousand percent because you always kind of have that creative understanding of in time instincts to be able to do something um that is going to .
help out your team. The diagrams are great, but you know, what makes the difference of great pleasures is being able to take those diagrams and make them their own or like, visualize that into being something you creative. Yeah, now we just talk about a under football things work with the reasons why you guys was successful.
Let's get to the real region. Guys won the game, which is a judge Smith cho said, is that you guys like the little season is in full swing. And that's why we need to tell you about our special hook up for today's sponsor, seki.
And we have a special discount for the nine two percent as you can get ten percent off any ticket on seki with the code you get. Did new heights and that works .
for sports concerts, comedy shows, going to see travis and chief play you name and save yourself some money, open the c ky. Gap and add code new heights to your account to get ten percent off your next order doesn't matter if you ve you seeking before that right IT does .
not matter once again, that's code new heights for .
ten percent off. The farmers is dog. We love our dogs. That's right. They complete us. And we all want piece of mind that we're doing the best we can to help ensure that they're healthy and happy.

sleep number, smart bed, show you your sleep quality every morning in the sleep number .
APP how does you coming up? Who doesn't love fresh new bedding or pillows or if you are in the market for a bed, if you haven't checked out a sleep number store now is a great time. Yes, we, he said all of duty with humor homes and markets .
on friday.
Mike, well, on friday was the difference in team chemistry.
I'll tell you what there's something about off the field you know cattery are just doing something fun with each other off the field that brings everything yeah that we ve talked about this earlier on the past. I'd never i'm not a huge collection ty player。 I'm more of like a sports video game guy.
I'm in the two k mad and i'm trash. Yeah but when I play with guys actually know what they're doing. I could be a good teaming. I can revive everyone. I can tell everyone .
where they're at because can the one on in there, the stairs, stairs got we? were. Good boy. Good boy.
So when you get the game together, yeah and the first game we only played three. We only played three together. This is the resurgence where you can cana as long as your teams a lie of, you can fly back in as long as I know either way, right?
So so long story short, we win three in a row and that's all we play three games. First place back to back to back when I say that's like a once in a month, once in a week kind of thing for a guy like me like i'm not in dubs like that, but you're feel good. I feel fantastic.
All these guys are like, I like go here and give my fourth win in a row. And I didn't even place them like the top twenty five years. So I just told you when word a team prety unstoppable, yes, but bunds on the sticks, but getting Better.
I can hold my own life here. Put up good eggs in the kill column. You're remember i'm put up like five killed game, but these days, like jojo and marquez are thrown up ten plus .
kills i'm a flinger i'm .
actually funny said i'm a flanker. I'm a flinger. A lot of action going on over here go here and taking .
a little is so you. Are you got a flaker in everything you ve ever done? King Franker .
idea.
You made you a great idea.
There's a lot of action going on.
IT was meant to be the whole is taking the book. Yeah, sneak through the back door. Me, i'm just running in, just trying to make a guys. I just runs fast. Possible knife one, never play.
I'm not going to. D i'm big snake up on somebody for sure.
And yeah, you've always been sneaky.
sneaky sound, very, very sneaking. Y, it's prety good, big flanker man, but yeah, no shot. C, U, D, get the gang closer and ready for this match of man. I can definitely feel a judi was, say.
there any other video games you played that have brought teams closer together? Or I think video games are a big part of especially sense.
The comes sense. You can play online stuff here. I feel like every single hockey time and ever went to, we were hook and and and sixty to the T V. Um every single bed that you don't mean as a kid, you're bring sixty four everywhere you go.
There is my favorite council. I still play the sixty four.
I still got .
a substation.
S all the games included.
why? One of mind. So you have the original that .
we had the house think that is yeah my favorite video game to build .
team chemistry is one risky three hundred and ninety eight that made our .
college team closer least least the guys they were playing um one grass K E 3 ty hacky ninety .
eight for the hundred and sixty four and obviously once you .
and all was eight or nine and .
is nine play whichever version was available um which is the two and two, three and three but like two and two .
a yet arcade hoky game right you .
can hit you volume and tube fire shots where the goal is black .
to the nets no, you find you fight.
But anyways, we made IT into a drinking and is one of those games where, uh, the computer has a regulator on IT so the games kind of .
always close and you can have a little glee so you can master the glitch. sure. I mean, all in c four games had .
a little glitter. That's part of the game inside the game. But the flanking maybe. So when Bruce sky was the game that we played in college, which was um for every time somebody Scott a goal, the other team editor drink uh every time somebody got a hat trick on the opposing team, the other two players had to the posing two players had finish their beer and I know you guys very play when I grc three eight but there are high school games these are both players are definitely .
getting at least a hrc at least .
least and this LED to um I mean each game your hug in pretty much prety each .
person if it's a competitive game.
for sure. So within thirty minutes through a rapiers in brucie baby is the greatest thing.
If you get in, you get in the fights.
The other everyone has to be drinking their beer while the fight is going on, even the people in the fight. So you end up just mashing .
button until somebody is not doubt is a game. There's a great game. We don't play enough.
I still, yeah, I need dinner. That's definitely gotta back out of the arkas. That was the best ring game. We we also had mario card sixty four, no drinking and driving so you could drive. And then when you have got to crash that when you try and you had to finish your beer before the race was over.
yeah, that was really those two.
And halo, hello is huge.
I didn't get into that one. Yeah never a halo.
Go what you didn't, flink. You can definite chiefs fans have seats on tire.
Yeah, have too many receipts on this guy. I mean, this guy, number one.
football right now, he's pretty good.
He's going to a probably set the record for the most yards.
Everybody, receiver, well, chips, a wide outs told 4 thousand, two hundred and fifty and three touchdowns is past we all. Harman became the first receiver in the frugal era with two rushing touchdowns, and I receiving touch on the same game, my goal and jojo and my quiz became the first chief receivers to both go over one hundred receiving yard in a game since two thousand. What that IT just shows you.
how much were you involved in, just shows you that this shows you how great Patrick modes is.
Place 我 来 扯 after the game, cheese fans, resort and old key and Allen I G comment after the ric trade, he come and in this one's going to expose some people. Glad he out .
the division too.
Who is he saying .
that about? I hope IT wasn't about me .
as my guy hope you think about. 嗯。
yeah, maybe.
Homes but I mean, you my homes, people.
they just something to left .
unless I coach read or something like that. But I have a feeling you was talking about you.
I don't know why either way. Um clearly he was talking where is talk about about it's not true. It's good to see keen back out on the field. You got as his hand string back rolen and awfully probably make that charges team Better because right now you're going exposed trash.
We don't need a dog stress.
Would you mean, you know guess some worry, this year .
drive only seven games in. You don't want to be this. They got a lot of football left.
They got a good team. So, yeah, some people would even think, uh, the holes is playing Better. The cheese often is Better. H, R, G, three fan of the show, said he thinks the choose offence is Better without time. Seven games in him.
I think you look at the first year pad head avidly, fifty five touchdowns was the M V P. To see other of the nfl. I think there was the, there was the new aspect, like its new.
Not a lot of teams scheme IT up, not a lot of teams who were ready for how pad could throw the football, the weapons that we had. Um tyrie was evolving. That offence was so much fun to play in.
I think IT keeps evolving into pet strength and coach read is making this this year something that teams haven't seen before. Yeah so having that brand knew this team is new. The looks are new.
We're not sure exactly how jj. Is being being used or not sure how M. D.
S. Is being used. It's still a question on I in coach reads offence. How are these pieces going to work well at the same time the offence is evolving? And on top of that, you don't even know what this .
piece is doing that I do feel like you know the best offense is are obviously ones that have great players but also ones are uh, the coaches have thought of some new things, are doing things that defences haven't really caught on to you and .
so you say but are still but are still favorable to the pieces that they .
have course here, right?
But just not just we're dowling up this play because versus cover three, we think is going to go we're downing up this play .
because IT has patrica home. We want this player to I think so what you're saying is losing thyri in some ways has forced andy in the opening of staff to reevaluate ways to make the offence. New pieces, yeah, new pieces.
Way to integrate these. A waste still manufactured. Big play. One hundred person.
Where as before, like having tie is almost like a we knew he was. We were going to keep doing these things. interesting.
I A person. So we still have marcos outside doing a lot of the stuff the tire was doing, a lot of stuff that democrat robot in was doing in terms of deep passes, deep routes, explosive place. And we added someone who can control the middle, the field, with the tightens in this offence.
yes. And jojo is a big physical fast receiver who feels the game very well. Smart individual, understands defenses, understands um the number count of where guys have to relate who's relating to him.
And you can fill voice and is a sure catch every single time. So it's just it's fun to see how this office keeps evolving and it's fun to see these these new faces. It's a electric seeing jojo go for one twenty four.
You know we haven't seen that kinds, a city that is electric. It's electric to see mark oz go down field on third and nine and come through with a forty guard bomb. Yeah, you know, that's electric. When you we are talking about early, the feeling of seeing someone reached new heights are seeing someone reach that new, uh, my stone man is so much fun. And that just what IT build is, more more energy to just keep fighting and keep fighting new ways to to get the ball down, feel to get the ball down.
Well, a big reason. The truth offence is Better this year. This, whether tired or not, is I think your pet is playing Better.
now. The pet was playing bad. I just he's been unbelievable and he's been unbelievable all careers insane. My um he is the highest Q B one percentage included players sent two thousand and nine number one pm homes on number two and Rogers number three is patra homes when he has had games trailed by ten plus points he's above brady not before in games or his double digit losing a point in the game so um you know the .
one and only r pec my homes again.
Why is he playing so lights out this year? Same thing I think .
you might have heard him and Allen say that we. With some is about to get exposed.
And it's but that is do you think pad takes a personal that .
um is a big note taker. I've been i've seen him technology a huge notcher. He's probably got hundreds and hundreds of those spiral seventy page things we in the note pages that we always .
on pleasure and people say in stuff I .
on play on film study O K but i'm assuming sense he takes notes so much on film study that he take mental notes mental notes one hundred percent um yeah I think that feels that kind of stuff feels I know that feels me if somebody saying that i'm not going to be the same player, if i'm gonna know be a lesser player the the next year or you know that filled me this year and one .
thousand percent yeah when you you .
you're gonna doubt me right that judge me up yeah .
well you crash pass post game interview to call him the one and only my home one only baby yeah um what's your best way to describe what makes them a special board?
I'm here. Um I think the best way here .
that do is such a competitive .
man they do he is he I love what and film especially when we win because he is making unbelievable place but he's such a competitor and how he fights for the guys around you know he doesn't if he see something and cheap, he's not the guy, you know, gonna let that slide. He's going to go until that dude, amen, cut all that, cut all that extra shit out.
You know he he's fighting for the guy's next storm on the field at all times, uh, leading us on the sideline, getting the guy is rally, give the guy is refocused, uh, going up the guys, hey, this is how we like display. This is how the communication make on the comes that he's just the ultimate leader man and and that's IT makes IT so fun to play with him because he's gonna the instinctual stuff on the field where he just his back and nobody can do nobody can throw the way he does. Nobody has the creativity and his mind to be able to you know, just have places you wouldn't think would be possible. But I think it's his film study. I think it's his ability to remember that kind of stuff like if you talk to me, has got that make way kind of memory where he remembers watching this play from the third game of two thousand seventeen when he was scouting, you know, the philothea a eagles when we were playing, you know, he has this weird way of remembering what defense of ordinators do you know and and IT only makes them that much more quick witch, that much more instinctive al on the field.
Yeah, always i'm surprised by that. You say he takes notes when .
I do what I tell you, chicken scratch, but that it's got to be doing something, man.
because he's such an essential player you know, obviously, he understands the office to a tea. I feel like most guys that are dial and note takers don't play that we petrom homes does I think would make that unique. Watching him is his you intuition is is a instinct play where um he is clearly in his mind free to have that created phone. And a lot of, if you like, when when you're note take you when you're buy the book, you end up becoming a very precise individual when you lose track of that creative body. So the fact he is able to be that meticulous understanding and precise while also take you, it's going to be .
you and give you so um I must .
you're able to you know usually doesn't go back for IT. Maybe that's one of the things of why he's so good. He has a precision and he has the dialed approach of the mantis lous taking type player but somehow he still is .
able to be free. He doesn't, doesn't want he. He lets that build his instincts.
You you can't be thinking about that on game day, right? You know, that needs be something that is thought throughout the week.
On game day.
how was he evolved? So as we're here.
I mean, just an exactly what we were saying. I feel like with reps, you understand you know what's possible? Yeah you know I think with how much film study he has this guy.
why don't listen.
get away from his natural instinct of how he plays the game, just sees one of the best in the game as free as he is. But I think with the reps and the understanding of defenses, with the understanding of situation of football, know when we say situation of the ball, we're talking about third down specific like yes was the corner running on third and short third and five to six third, eight third and thirty ten plus.
You know, he understands these kind of things to a whole another level. So he's technically a step ahead of the game. And when you do that and you can go out there and play free and that's that's when to get electric.
The the biggest thing I think for him is that he's he's a fine for football. He's a fee for those those situations. I was talking with him and Maggie on on the plane right back and they were just going back and forth of what happened during the second quarter, the end of the second quarter of a college game. And i'm sitting you like I don't give reads as about either one of those two college teams, let alone enough to watch college football on a saturday while i'm you mean trying to put my feet up, you know I catch a bearak game, but i'm not sit near watching a random sec game or a random packed twelve game, you know and it's his his love for the knowledge of the game is only making his instincts that much more fun.
In the business, especially in situation or two military, he's so good when the teams down or when you guys in that score.
Another thing member, you when when you can just just get in that thing, but that thing he was a fourth gear.
When you .
can just floor IT.
yeah you can floor .
in in any year. But yeah, good point .
but you go away fast. National tide and pal hans, what you need to keep you on track, your goals no matter what season of life you're in and as professional.
at least we know how chAllenging IT could be to t your fittings needs to your busy schedule, especially during the nfl season.
Pelton has been a great tool to help me adept my routine to my busy schedule of traveling for money in my football, podcasting, parenting and everything I going on this year. Pelletan is great for when you're traveling between games at the gym or when you just need a moment to recover.
Find your push, find your power with pilon at one pile docs.
Let's right again, that's one come rn reals here .
from mid mobile with the Price of just about everything going up during inflation, we thought we bring our Prices down. So to help us, we brought a reverse auction ee, which is apparently a thing fifteen to try mid mobile, got com slash switch forty .
five dollars up from payment equivalent to fifteen doll month. New customers on first one, and only taxes, be exact. Speed lower before to give A B, C, right? Let's go back to this tobacco near identical state line with .
George close, but no cigar.
So I see George had the one receiving touchdown.
Yes, you think you .
look like a touch down.
Man.
what does that feel like? Because i've never experienced having a touch on call back. What can you tell all of us.
including me immediately? Nothing selfish about IT immediately. Then we just got a touchdown taking off the board as a team like man, it's hard to it's hard to get in the.
I don't believe you for a .
second this I my my day that the first thing that comes your mind when .
you have a touch on cobs like man, this really touch for our team. Yes, also your great team player travel.
Jason when .
I get a hold, but I just find a great team back to say, I don't know that's great.
You do not speak for yourself. I and meet as soon as we get to touch on our drive like nothing happened.
H, I agree, you move on from the quickly. I'm not saying like you're o booo you go but no and that .
that touch sound specifically, you take a big hit over the middle. Yeah, those are, those are the moments that I love being in the league, man, just because football is just like it's a big you know physical sport. You want to see who can out physical who in a football game when you catch one over the middle and just stand, hit the ground.
Like strongest men in the world enough about good man. He's saw elegist. One of my favorite parts of the entire day was, you know they they do the hype videos on the screen before the game started.
Like for the home team, we'll do like a pump up video or you know another guy in the sporting community to truck a bell, do something to you, get the people go. They had a Bruce kito, georgia's dad. nice.
Get electric. I just talk to George about this is not too long. He said that he was he was actually a video during like the over year, but he put on a raymore's IO mask and got everybody hide for national titan and day.
They threw up on the big screen. And i'm just. And then after that, after everybody got hide, they showed him in the crowd and he was just as hyper he was in the video. And I was just like, like, get to go, baby.
I mean, as much as I was, don't produce the national tide. N A, you know what Bruce and George have done for, uh, tighten u and brought the attention to the position. I'm just I mean.
theyve been incredible for coach .
of is local machine, but I just have to George back out their healthy and dominant hope to see that more as a she's more fun to watch yeah that .
was good to see SHE and a hand finally down, some stuff up from my guy. Yeah, man, he feels like all he does, the hand, the ball up. And I was, honestly, I was going into the game like, managers get me a way there. Yeah I mean, these a fighter dude, he's going to play through whatever .
we saw the debut of Christmas after speaking of C, M, C brought right. And how easy would would be to pick up a new team's offence, um some speculated that travis, uh, contract move might have been for a Christmas. c. Cai, cai, no, I never.
I never thought that one. I mean, Christian is obviously one of the, if not the best pound for pound running back in the league right now. The guy is we can move.
He got those like those narrow hips we are talking about. He's got some narrow hibs men. He's get scanning through the whole really easy, I mean, and he's got unbelievable explosion, great vision, can cash the ball out the back field. If you put a line back around in the receiving game, it's, you get ugly for you.
How easy would IT be to just going in and play, getting traded and going and play that we now I was have ever had to do that?
Never no um don't think you would be that hard.
I especially don't even be that hard for one time to be to be on.
There's a few positions you could definitely do IT running back. One of them, I think the line is another one. How you see the .
heart should be caught back?
Yeah, one hundred percent. I would say online, there's too much chemistry you can mess around with all that, going into a game is best not a friday before a game tackle.
I feel like you can make pinch. You'd have to because you can help. I mean, you like those guys A.
Get that ever there, shocker. But obviously want about I think one of the easier wants to do that IT. Most, most teams in the lee now run a all the generic running place.
Yes, I mean, he was outside this for they super .
complex and .
they do and .
was a .
huge hater because no one expected they went empty. And I think they they throw a great screen, so just get the ball in his hand kind of play um so they probably made IT really easy on him to just go out there .
and play football. Are prety strong five two and nearby we uh, I see there's been some highs and lows. Yeah how's the buyer? Gna go how what what do you .
plan for the barry um I played on i'm coming out to filled off you and I go and season family sim leases. See my beautiful this is man and so legal man, uh yeah and go go washing old field of ele football. Man, you guys got the series get can I go?
Can you give me ticket? OK.
okay um you know who's right now but yeah that that not really sure what I got plans for the bye without the question.
How will I buy help with your consistency was a question, but I don't even know how the buy and I .
think the buy will help with consistency bay. By the free. By getting some free type think about other things. I think what coaches doesn't, I am sure it's different in every single building as coach read less is just get out of the building, not necessarily always breathe football twenty four seven because that's I mean, that's how I do IT. Whenever i'm thinking entered i'm in a work week even when I leave the facility and look at our film, i'm thinking visualizing like we are talking about. I just put a lot of time, a lot of effort into IT and and getting this by week to be able to just step away from you know the the madness of the routine the the consistent you know routine that kind of drain you a little bit uh, I think that's the best thing that you can have you know just a restart .
refresh yeah in the why we can think a lot of people talk about the physical aspect of you are letting your body but I don't even more than that like what you're say uh, the mental process of being able to step away and in some ways not think about football for a week is important um I think um when you come back you know we were back in the building on monday for the first time after the by um IT was uh you feel rejuvenate you feel energize life every everybody just got like that kind of like back to school vide a little bit so I think in you know that mental aspect of kind of A D loading for a week is often overlooked in I talk about .
right on yes. Speaking of the boy.
yeah.
you just had one brother, six and o go into a good. I mean, do you want at this point, do you want to keep things rolling? Are you happy about the bay? Are you well.
I mean, you officially, I think I often the line was pretty banged up. So pretty happy for my physical standpoint. Um and you know I don't think you know it's going affect um you know the run that we've been on or anything like that. I think that we're double in still and the coaches are going to make sure that were you know still in the right frame of mind and still ready to go. So i'm not too word about the up.
man. Let's talk about that by way. This recapitulates IT men.
We started IT off. We drop in an album. And officially, music artists dropped.
announced, were dropping an album.
but still tuning up.
Yeah, it's well now it's done. It's I mean, I actually have .
the testing final and you're .
sing on IT are you .
don't hard .
pricy cle what i'm doing singing but i'm on IT and i'm doing something resembling sing singing but yeah me h journal a lot of lane Johnson um as well as uh a bunch of a musical artist to actually musical artists uh in particularly charly hall uh the drama for one drugs he's kind of the one that really I mean on esty made this he introduced to the right people he knows all these musicians or knows people that know them and the like cast that we were able to put together um I mean it's truly very more than how many people than they help with this and um and this give me really cool. I really do I think it's really cool so i'm just succeed to have the album.
I mean, been notorious for listening to Christmas music.
All you I do I love um how do I just I love music that you listen to with your family music that reminds you of a being in the house growing up um you know stuff that brings you back to uh you know not just simple times but times where um you are happy and um I feel like Chris Chris to be happy man who who know what everybody wants to be I so but yeah I mean, to start I was a good idea. Just kind of like raise some money for kids on the days for gifts um and .
I just ended up being in .
the like awesome .
await that's .
a video and .
playing football .
crea that we ve got lane Johnson .
and we can also .
actually say what to tell you, you're going to find out. So you're i'm the only in the cancer. I'm the one that just you're the .
one that shows up at the class project.
I'm saying i'm there. I'm doing the work.
I'm just not good at IT, right? I was going to ask me, but I obviously in the group .
just lather.
I didn't know lane consign to you.
I mean, he's not be on George's bian c lanes like Kelly.
really that .
makes you I don't even know he's part in you.
Oh my bob dalen I wish .
I wish I was a creative but no um IT did not be honestly .
the project .
I did not being just a great album of on esty like I know your change but like friendship and like and he was just a place we ve got a lot of video of I can't wait to hear that was the collection of my .
individuals from my professional .
athletes to musicians to like recording people to like all philly based um .
yeah for the most .
part I mean I can't say that all the musicians, the vast majority of them are or are living in include up .
you now so and and like.
yes.
it's going to be really cool not I was a hard broken man. I I asked you when you were gonna record some of this if I could be a part of that. You told me know and you said I was because I had. You said I wasn't. I wasn't felly guy.
So I probable I don't forget .
things like this.
And IT is a feeling, an alphian Christmas.
I don't forget album. I can't wait back out my album.
do the same thing can see i'm sure they love IT. Yeah, just copy.
Be a copy. Be harder.
You got to find a good like charlie.
Who can I can sing for? Yeah, I definitely not personal problems.
Well, maybe we can play a couple songs on.
I didn't mean Michael blue play. He came, is he?
He's cheese fan. Michael and I .
pretty. I could shake .
some .
bells and range your bells. The rain bell were those called bears, bears slab lls lago. Moving on. You became the the files.
Play off. Good luck charm. I haven't washed my file's jersey IT. I haven't wash my ginger. I'm going to keep wearing them.
Throw up playoff s you'd .
never wash your jeans.
which is kind of suspect because you don't wear jaws.
I don't I don't believe jars um I and a big uh superstition thing I really want be you just said you don't believe in them like they were .
like something like Christmas that you have to believe you have to have like a religion or no I I mean .
I think what do you not believe .
there are there?
I don't believe that they're necessary. I don't believe there's like a .
useful so Marks on your jeans.
I am pretty good at wiping. I don't have skin Marks. I prefer to finish wiping. And two stuff, nine.
four. Man, yeah, you get get Marks.
You are .
not a leaker. I .
don't .
really understand .
what the purposes for them.
guys killing IT and absolutely killing IT. Um so I was a game. IT was electric. You chugged a beer in ten seconds, which is a solid chug for anyone that .
doesn't drink. Well, you know, I was limited to however fast IT could pour out.
I was above post.
I couldn't. I won freezing or do something which .
take to be able to swallow the beer and have like a waterfall going on at the same time.
Well, there is a little bit of fun is created with the so you.
To understand this kind of thing. That is probably .
the most large problem, probably the most of people are trying to be in front of.
Were you look nervous?
Not one that, I mean, I really know what happen to be on with you. They kind of said that maybe what happened with the fox crew, they were saying that maybe there's like some sponsorship deals and the argal out happen. So I don't know what to really expect going on out there.
Uh, but once the beer was there, a new one, look at beer on the baseball. What am I going to do with this? And then I got the bad flip afterwards. Do IT up there. Um so yeah, that was a was what was a proud was a proud .
brother moment, for sure. I definitely appreciated the the crowd getting absolutely electric. Yeah, after you fired up in my guy, mo teller got .
fired up a little did later game as well.
He kills, he fired .
them up on the the clinch.
oh, nice right series.
And on sunday, fire a month. Top gun average. No, no, it's a gust gooses.
Well, the new talent is.
yes.
great movie, by the way, loved the loved IT shut out, shot out of miles and all the filled alphy of fans. Tis the .
city .
pretty excited out there.
I on the field, there's a guy after the game on sunday who climbed a light poles, but you have .
rees and .
poles got to grease .
the poles. A, it's a big, I tell you guys. I.
and that after seventeen, that's right there. They didn't think degrees was necessary until the world series. Have the greece rating this next year.
everything, you will be greece all week. Man, I love IT. I'll give IT to go.
I'll see if I can. So let's talk about me. I was IT IT looked like he was just action packed by with you. What was the coolest moment we had a chugged a beer um and a huge bro hug with the philae hy phanatic mascot um rest rine on Sunny nfl countdown mentioning new heights uh podcast and um the fight stories obviously we've had a few but that was the best fight of the mall and maybe telling friend Thomas that he can chuck a beer fashioned me or fashioned you yeah you entirely meeting the legendary philadephia filly, head coach, manager, charlie man, skipper, the old skip and then hanging with a big puppy, miles teller, the fillies game I mean you um I love the house. So what happens?
We leave the house. I don't need to leave the house to talk the right time.
And then obviously, the fox porch crew and fans put Jason in the filly sports mount rushmore. I don't know. Yeah, I I would. You left the house .
of all the events happen this week. Show you the beer on the field with the fanatic IT made you .
feel like you had a home dinner.
I was just, you can tell by the .
picture with the mascot how happy you are in that moment.
Here's what IT is. We don't get to be fans. And often, you know I mean and like being at the game and like truly like being able to be, and like also going to go on the field check of beer. Um I mean the fantastic is like an iconic mascot kindly my wife, a phildee fian cries sometimes when he sees a fanatic like that's how much people filled delhi love the fanatic no yeah what's unlike Kelly is a man is probably super suit made up suit like can dal this back it's not a real creature um but uh SHE is all in on the fanatic and to be honest I get IT 还 交给 别人 捎带 别 battle, you got good energy. You have got similar shoes IT was IT was an awesome IT was honestly like really cool on a multiple uh kind of levels. Uh I also that same game got to meet charly man you've got to meet a lot of the films that are part of two thousand and eight champion chip uh you know other years um uh get to see a miles tell I mean IT was IT was a really, really cool night and uh to be there um both times I went really but that friday night was a lot of fun.
I love that I was living through you through a men .
was was n yeah I mean charly manual I he loves but I mean he was a huge manager, uh hitting coach in the ninety teens for the indians and IT was also to see him kind of transition over to the files and take that and and lead them to their world series, which you never gotten clever .
and virtually .
was amazing but yeah I would say that number one ah very cool .
man so we just mentioned that um that fox sports crew put you on there filly mount rushmore yeah who in the mind of Jason elsa would be phillips as mount smart?
Well, I don't know if authorized to make the filling about rush working and not from phillida you but I think in my opinion.
I feeling the guys here about the name aren't from the city either.
Booky going. No, i'm saying I feel like, feel the obvious, not rush more, should I? Yes, but I think I think I got a pretty good grasp on who feeling likes at this point. I think the number one I truly go, I probably graduate. Then number two, prego Allen .
iverson to say, if you I think he changed the culture, yeah, you can just change. He changed the culture sports and just change, I want.
And then after those two, I think I is a lot of really, really good. Choices you can make. And I don't know where fill out of you we're going on this um if we're up to me, the next two would probably be brian dockers and pete rose be dog .
um but .
I don't know that what filled off he would do. I think you also have, I means a lot of other, if you go on sexy, you get doctor J.
I would say, dr, day is problem.
You go on fliers. I see bobbi Clark legended fliers and those brushed bully guys there. Probably a little upset. I left them off the this IT maybe Bobby Clark ts in their um of pete um so yeah I don't know um those apply the four that I think of and maybe i'm just bias repeat roles because you also played with the since area and whenever your nickname is you know chinese housel i'm all with that guy start .
about huge really good .
month this week with peer on geno Smith uh you know look like geno little flushed maybe co came out called them down before big their dow conversion. We've seen genome really come into his own in seattle, which is interesting because I mean, he's been an aly first .
on you yeah same .
you but obviously he started and to play really, really piano.
which you typically don't see, usually see guys start off not so, not so good the following couple years .
and usually see guys who start with one place go some place else in this is right right um so how big of an impact does coaching make which by the way, this is an interesting a is a surprising thing that I pick all I think is a psychology major you .
know that .
knows to .
me i'm a minor in cy. So no.
he did not. Maybe street psychology.
I don't know. I don't know that we get IT keep .
going on with you to.
so i'm not even sure what they gave me going.
You ve got a degree in IT to you and the scholarship .
is to you and taken away, right? Alright, you.
I think the .
best .
coaches end up being the ones that have the most emotional awareness, right, the most ability to connect with their players. So it's not surprising to me that a psychology major and peak hero is able to maybe connected to genome on a Better level that maybe some other could have. Um and you know everything starts upstairs, right especially .
that position one hundred.
So yeah, how big of a difference does coaching in the nfl make .
stairs meaning the not right you talking about yeah right yeah. I don't know if you talking about stairs .
and like the but that's that I that's just that people, I think every coach has something that makes them unique and great. P is clearly an unbeliever motivator and a guy that is able to connect to .
people one one thousand percent. You give the players that you see play for, pete, don't have, aren't living in a bubble, aren't living in a share. Their personalities are out there. Yeah, you look at Russell Wilson, you look at, uh, march on land, you look at sherman, you look at, you know the guys all across the board on the super bowl teams that he's had. They're all very big personalities and they're not high thing yeah they're telling people how IT is and that's to be able to manage when he gets too far, you know because you still are representing an organization, you're still representing a lot more than just yourself when you when you wear whatever logo you're wearing in in the league. But to still give guys their freedom to be themselves, that's when I think teams really mess the best and that's when I think guys play their best. Know i've had unbelievable guidance and not just coach read coach tom melvin tighten coach in kinds of city um coach erb enemy, i've had countless talks about how to manage not only my emotions but how to manage um what i'm doing in life so that you know IT doesn't necessarily affect anybody in a negative wave but at the same time IT still allow allows me to be myself you know you're not because the last thing you want to do to start being uncharacteristic, right? You know because that's a recipe for disaster no matter what occupation you are in.
Yeah no, you know the best, you know the best coaches find a way to embrace players as individuals and let them be who they are within the combination structure. Right right. Um I mean not just about and ready for little bit.
I mean your head coach, I can't remember the last time and a is at a quarter bag that is not being good for and that dates back to fill IT off you with the dynamic now obviously being the star but A J feeling jeff car sea coming in. A Kevin cab, Michael vick, obvious he goes a kinda city. Alex smith, as a rejuvenation of his career that homes now you have nick, fall, spring in there in both of those worms.
Chat, honey, there is something that guy does that makes courter beg to be phenomenon. And I refuse to believe that it's just tag, that he's just the best schema in the world. I think that he knows how to get guys to think properly, how to get guys to believe themselves, what your number one job is, a coach, in my opinion, to empower your players.
The how am I going to make these guys feel that they can do this right? How do am I going to make these guys believing me, but more importantly, believe in themselves? Alright, we talk about, I think that is really easy to find schemers and tactical coaches across the league. There are great orphans of ordinators on every single team. There are great defence of ordinary and every single team.
What the true mark of that is hard to fine and it's hard to quantify, which is why teams are always looking for this, is how do I find somebody that motivates and powers and also has the chops to um organized this thing yeah right that's a hard person of life right yeah and um you know that the most important job of the head coach, how do I motiv all my players? How do I motivate all my coaches? How do I empower them? How do I organize this thing and have a culture of growth and creativity um in the best coaches? Find a way to get that done.
Sounds like in the code but not about .
the hell of the time commitment yeah I think I would love you but but something you would .
understand everything that, that would need to be a part of that world. And I think I think recognizing that and I don't know.
I know from the players perspective, obviously, there is a lot of I have no clue what IT takes to be a coach in the interfering mother was to um .
IT is way different.
I don't think so is way different going up there every single day. Have a go to the film, assess where you want to attack, depends how to get the most out of this .
project player. I think I understanding.
I think you be so I think we will both be surprised if we had to go up there. Do I .
went on saying, I understand what I would be like and I can do IT. I don't have the ability I can just keep yeah, I I don't think I could be able to put in that much time a minute.
Well, yeah, I think. You know, do you.
that's what I appreciate, coach reading cultural stuff that we have that that makes me appreciate that so much more because I understand how much work, how much dedication is being put into this for a guy like me to go out there and have success for the team. You know, I fully understand a lot of, at least I feel like I understand that to the point, words like that only makes me have so much more respect for the coaches they do with the right way. yeah.
Is IT more important to have a player's coach or somebody that is just a tactical god .
thing I feel like you got if if you don't have one that can do both.
you got have both you to have both, you can be out. Of those to be great um and not everybody can do for some guys can do well. I think you have no you have your bill business check, you have your end reads or are some coaches that are unbelievable in both of those cats somehow? Um but yeah, I think it's hard to find guys that are great in both of those facets who can be the ordinator and the head coach certainly can be done has been done many times. But yeah IT takes a special guide to be able to do all that.
Who's the first coach you remember? I was, say, dad, really t ball baseball. yeah. I mean, I that's .
SHE answered. I was not thinking dead, but he definitely is the first code member.
One hundred percent outside. I mean, and even then IT was IT was a different wavelength th than anybody i'd ever had. You know after that, you know I think your father being your coach, you know you see IT from a different point of view. I think that the first court that I really remember having um i'm trying to think all the sports that I was playing when I was Younger, my baseball coach had began was an awesome, awesome motivator. Um was a was an x athlete, d mm self play college ball, uh college football at that. And I just I related to him because I saw that he had made IT in doing doing the sports thing like he he had made IT to the next level or he was he was a successful um athlete and IT was, uh I don't know and I don't know what was the question?
Who is the first go to remember? How did how did coach began make you feel?
Well, there was a very family or in a team like a bit on teams. I I think that since I, when we had B K, I think he was still a very family or in a team because of what, uh, the leadership had already had going. And that is the guys that were in the locker um made IT feel like A A family more than the coach made IT feel like a family um but there's coaches that want to get invested.
They want to know how your families do and how your mom, you're dad, everybody. And that was, that was one of the things growing up that I loved. I loved playing baseball.
I loved playing hockey because the guys I was with in the family type atmosphere that we got playing with those, those guys like a, like a coach, bogus dv, bogus, you know, like A A tide began. Both of those guys made IT so much fun. Just come in, in, in, in and, you know, go to work.
Yeah you know, print is hard. Play hard for the guy. Next you play with some integrity I think um that's what I really remember from my childhood of my coaches, at least the coaches that .
I that I love the most yeah yeah don't know. I is interesting that he said dad was the first coach you remember because now that I think he's probably the first coach I remember and then after him was fortunate to have tons of tremendous coaches.
And I don't know that I really wanna single out any one of them, uh, but I think, you know, whenever I think of coaching, I really do come back to this like sense of belief in the sense of, you know, what do I remember from coaches? And I remember most from the coaches i've had, at least in dad included, that there are moments when you as a player doubt creeps in, right? Especially when you're a Young player and you're very impressions like I don't know if I can do this. I don't know if this is um going to work, you know and you and coaches the best coaches i've had and the coaches that I remember always believed .
in me feel .
and there and that's what you know you remember from sports is going to adversity overcoming, achieving um that's what I remember from growing up and uh in playing with coaches were you know this I was very very blessed to be full with by men and role models and coaches who believed in me and that gave me the courage to believe in myself. They get then they get the first start of IT.
They i'll tell you what is funny to say because he he remain coaching in the community even when we went to college and the process. My dad is always especially baseball that was his, was his sports, was the one that he wanted us both to go try, go pro.
But his mentality was, if I get him to sign up next year, I did my child, yeah, you know and and that comes with kids feeling the confidence that they can do IT, you know, because he's just trying to jack happiness and confidence and growth and and and everyone, man, and that's a that's coaching man, yes, thanks. Thanks, coach. Yeah.
do you have a legended coach you wish you would have played with? Maybe .
honestly, I and I absolutely ved my childhood, love my high school. I like all the decisions I made. I wish I would played for for coach bab cox men.
I wish I would to play a hockey, at least just one year men, or the legendary curd gunter. I play for his brother tad guncase when I was growing up. Awesome guy, awesome coach.
But IT was there was something about bangkok that I had a relationship with that I I was like, I want to play for. I do you know IT IT was IT was a personal relations sonic, uh, guy guy that I you know I just had a lot of fun being around in terms of legendary coaches. I I feel like I played for the best coach ever. You know do the dg one thing in the nfl. So I I can't necessarily say that I would want to play for anybody else when I feel .
like it's a weird. I don't think I wish I would have played for anybody else. You have been very, very happy to play for the coaches, and I play with I do.
I think you would have been really, really cool to see what I was like to play for certain coaches. Um you know I think it's you know obviously, I mean, but that list is endless. IT would be awesome to feel what it's like to be coached by the belt check. You be awesome to feel what IT feels like to be coach by peak ero be awesome.
That would even just limited to football.
No, I was. I say john wooden, like I may come on out like I think there have been some party. I think as a player, you always are interested in learning new things and how other people do them. Um you should be at least there um so that's always you know that be great but yeah .
we talking about coaches, I think there's leaders throughout your life that you might not even know is a leader to you but the advice that you give from them, the comfort that you get from the stories that they tell that you can learn from. And for me, grown up, uh, we would always go to cantona's Barbara shop.
At least when I was in high school, I used slide out on of my lunch periods and go get a nice type but he gave me some advice on time to to go and watch a youtube video of guys teaching at carnegie mail and I believe ah the last letter and I this point my life, I wasn't seeking advice. I wasn't looking for something to motivate me. I was in high school, was just a happy go lucky kid trying to have some fun um and I watched IT and he he his story is actually remarkable.
But I especially remember at the end is it's not how you achieve your dreams, is how you lead your life, is how you direct your life is and uh, if you lead your life, if you, if you feel that in the right direction, the things that you want in life will simply come to you. You know, it's not necessarily how do I become a Better football player? I'm onna.
Wake up in the morning and do something that's going to that's onna genuinely make fuel my love for IT or try and figure something out, whether it's you know just waking up and having the determination to go on get to work out in, go catch a few footballs figure, go go into the film room instead of just watching movies every single day, go there and dissect a certain player, dissect a certain person. And I was fueling all of my energy into this one world and share enough. That senior year that I had was missing, you know what?
Screw all the happiness I have off the fields, grow all the, all the the fun I have drinking and hang and out with friends. If I really want to make this football thing work, I have to become more knowledge, able about IT. I have to become more passionate about IT.
I have to live every single day. They want to be a professional athlete in the nfl. Yeah, and that's what I did. I started taking advantage of every single decision I was making .
and doing IT with a purpose. Yeah, the the best coaching is out.
The aliens.
Second person. Al, yeah. Love alex. The best coaching advice I ever got was from dead.
And I remember, you know, what was saying. They was just tired of answering why. And he just came up with his gym out of nowhere. You know, he he was doing some.
He was telling me to do something, I don't remember what, and he said as a bond, so they could be used to multiple different ways. But he said that I said something like, you know, why do I got to do this? Know why you do on IT don't you know you never do this?
I said at all and he said, i'm not raising you to be like me. I'm raising you to be Better than me. And IT was something that I thought was really, really powful.
Because I think at the end of the day, as I look back on that, that's all like any of us should we do and what we should all be trying to make things Better than how we brought them in, right? And that's what makes the march of great teams. That's what makes the march of great teammates when you it's a IT sounds.
It's a it's a game. It's unself reminds IT. I don't care if i'm making somebody Better than me.
I don't care necessarily where i'm at. I'm here to bring value to you. I'm here to bring value to my teammates. I'm here to bring value to my coaches. I'm here to be value to my family, right?
I just want to try to improve people by being the best version of myself, but also inspiring them to to believe that they can be Better. And um i'll never i'll Carry that to my grave I think um you know when you leave something worse than when you found IT, uh that's the true modern feature. Worse when .
you found .
is sorry. Anyway, let's go back to some other topics.
Move onto the new heights stamp of the week. See which guys throughout the league, or just in in general, who's taking their game to new heights. Baby, this news.
Benjamin.
Benjamin ones, the very american name. No, I know .
banjo es is the center.
You should know all the .
Benjamin James benge s the center for the thinnest y titans um started his career a down atlanta and he went to tennesee ever sense then um I heard nothing but great things about Benjamin his whole career. I know brynn Brooks and other guys that have played with him talk about not just how smart he is a player, but how awesome of the timid is. And I was exemplified this week, a model of, he saw IT during the tennis game.
He was clear. He's banged up. He's crapped in part of his, gets rolled up on his knee IT was so IT was so apparent that he was fighting two things that him and my variables had a moment after the game where you could, I mean, the level of appreciation headache could have for a player first about the talks about how unbelievable .
coach my rebel is a way the.
but I mean, in a dain age where we have rest days, everything about keeping guys healthy. IT feels like the nfl continues to lose focus on this level of toughness and in in doing something that might not be in your best interest selfishly. But it's it's not about you, right? I have to go a benjy's just the epidemic.
What I think this games about unselfishness toughness rit um a guy that instantly already had the respective his teammates, but definitely after that game, everybody in that locker is saying how awesome the students IT feels like that kind of player in some ways is dying off in the N. F. So to be able to see ben Jones still keeping that strong is .
pretty awesome. Then Jones, man, more power to you, brother. You fighting, seeing guys next week or after my buy my went with Bella rust musson of laguna beach high school player uh talking about pave in the way in a world that uh you know women are always are still fighting for equality in in many, many ways um I actually played with two girls and clear at heights. I don't know if you even know this uh two girls that played on my versy team my single year and that is not a very comfortable situation for for a girl to be and and she's been playing football since I believe he was uh a toddle um running back. He had two touchdowns in one game, the first female to have two touchdowns in one high school game. Wo and if you watched the film and i've watched this, she's actually run through tackles, break and tackles and get in the and and when he got interviewed by SHE was fired up talking, yes, talking about you feed me and me the ball even more you know actually get excited about IT telling guys they get off over in turns of like break and tackle so it's just um is very dut to see see you come out of the game set in records, big fan abela so shut up the billa for taking .
our game to new heights football .
and new eights all .
right well, that we can't coming up with book ahead. Got you buy we coming .
up yeah come by week. Then i'll be in a, as you know you, a .
halloween plans.
No, no. Is halloween coming up?
Is monday?
I do. I do. I have a costume. And aware though, but well, there's no fun if you tell somebody with your costumes and the .
point showing .
up and who you are was the last time .
you just stop allowing man um I don't know. I just have for easter .
as an easter cheer .
fight well.
big bunnies yeah that sixth .
with three blow bunny didn't go overall this this year were all going as he scream for .
dad and dad wasn't there? Did you take off?
Did you running? Well, I was .
just walking around.
I was just walking out. I am those like big and playable, like half time tuesday. Were that they dancing IT like N, B, A. Games and stuff. There's a big bunny suit to that and like I was the easter bunny SHE was freaking out terrified and at one point I fall, then they started defending and my, oh no, she's going to see me in the zoo and then be all sorted like screw up so I started sprinting behind the house. IT wasn't a good situation IT was a dad fail for .
sure as he's sense came to the room saying there's a giant .
bunny no SHE is she's she's like obsessive about ghost at this point. I feel that fire and coli hates before ghost. And then because when you stop terrifying that I can't help IT, it's too good. Uh yeah we're going on as the um uh the um Christopher Robin crew. We're going on .
as creator.
I am a uh that's uh why it's gonna why it's going to be tiger. Keep on what is receiving when you do me earlier.
Ah Christopher.
no.
who is .
the .
little, the tiny that you pig was IT very, very good, very nice.
yeah. I did not, was not very proactive. But I think Kelly is a, we have spider me for not buying a outfit. Me, a giant piglet t outfit.
So be because no, he gets IT. 第二, he gets IT. So moving on to to uah upcoming week .
stealers eagles.
yeah, the battle.
Ia.
um has this ever been much of a like a instate rivalry to you? Like have you felt the rivalry? I mean, it's not like .
other rivalry for the eagles, but I do think that there's instate braying rates for sure. Um fun fact, the steels and eagles that were at one point the same team they joined forces. I don't know this is like doing a war time or not. My that but they began the stiggins per year for real.
I'm not making does this document .
is documented? The stig's was a real thing. Were they any good?
I don't know and I don't .
know how long you existed, but I do know that was a thing. Um what we do know .
is that the stealers haven't won in philologist since one thousand hundred and .
sixty five um long down. I guess someone say they are do hopefully we can keep that trend going.
The stealers did win last week.
I know. No, they lost, lost. I watched that .
happen was a fight and .
was good game. Um yeah the stealers arguing that really, really good defensively. Obviously theyve been that way for your time.
Man's whole career they're pretty much they have a great delight as usual even without T J, what can hayward is a legend. Yeah, I love that dude, man. Yeah, I like what i'm not.
Do I don't know if you wear .
big and it's a big thing. We all know what's going on. Yes, crazy. He's a good player. We got our our hands for still shocking with that thing.
For everybody that wants to know all about the species is one thousand and forty three and they went five, four and one.
They tied.
Who knows back then, I don't even know where teams actually like going defeated.
Sure, very good.
All the pack. Maybe maybe it's a winning record.
Technical were probably only like eight team and eight.
So so if they played ten games, they private have a decision choice.
So I don't know who they know.
They they even .
they were blocky like this.
Yeah, when usually is the block, you, me.
we talked about filled every rush more. And one of the guys that was obviously legende fold of you, athlete Charles barkley, was one of the guys only is is or as only increased .
post reer.
But that was your favor player.
One hundred person was was the natural.
you know what he pride was? I mean, you know he using the Michael Jordan era. So I mean, he was compete with jorge.
He was the biggest, tougher guy on the court. I feel like that was your.
and I love job who doesn't chose .
if you don't like Charles barki .
clearly was travel's favor player. I have no story like this. Uh, travels es to run around the neighborhood quite a bit, complain basketball hall baseball and that and um when they were having a book party and we were kind of new to the neighborhood, we haven't really .
a ourselves neighboring hood hood. I found the perfect way to introduced myself everyday.
We're running around plane sports out in the street in this black party. And my mom is that they're talking with a much of parents. And all these parents keeps saying, Charles is just so funny.
Isn't Charles great? You have is who? Which ones? Charles and they point to you, IT turned out human on the entire neighbor, and your name was Charles mom, because you want to be .
Charles around. So mom gave me the name travis because of a fact that was on IT really was that that was not something .
you can hang your .
hand on to everybody orn.
uh, with golden hand hand, uh, curt rusal, um travis, named after one of the five kids in that ship movie, a very of like that. You been like a great character in the show. And IT really was not a good reason. The name of, uh, so actually now now you this is make this i'm saying I .
saw a new opportunity to change my name. I don't think i'm named .
after anything in particular, and i'd rather that be the case then what you're name from.
to be honest, I was probably like Tracy or something like that then when he found out as a boy, you just like travis.
I love that overboard movie.
So yeah, I thought I would to be a great idea if there was any point time I was going to change my name is when we moved to the new city was actually pretty embarrass when I call my bluff so i'm called me over like, have you've been .
telling everyone your name's actually surgeries 嘛?
Sound of the big shock man, yes, what a guy. Thanks for inspiring me.
Peter fortunato, not a psychology mature. Maybe he is a psychology major because he psychologically made me think you a psychology mater. A is A A education which which kind of really know got to have .
little bit of that, and for sure he got to be a little to understand the brain. Actually.
a lot of great coach, just that land. Education is everything.
Yeah, we want to talk about teachers.
