遊樂園轉型吸引銀髮族 Amusement Parks Make Changes for Seniors
The weather is getting warmer.
We are all spending more time outside.
Many people like to go to the park, go hiking, or go to the beach.
Another great place to have fun, is amusement parks (遊樂園).
An amusement park is a big outdoor park.
In this type of park, there are lots of rides (遊樂設施).
Some of them are fun and relaxing.
And some are thrilling (令人興奮、刺激)!
There are also lots of shows and delicious foods to try out at the amusement park.
Most of the time, when we think of people at the amusement park, we think of children and young adults.
But as Taiwan becomes an aged society (高齡化社會), amusement parks are now trying to think more about older visitors.
Government data shows that almost 12 million people visited amusement parks last year.
25 percent of those people went with their families.
And 10 percent were older people.
The data also shows that amusement parks with things for people of all ages to enjoy got more and more visitors.
So many amusement parks are now adding things to make sure that seniors (長者) enjoy visiting too.
台灣漸漸邁向高齡化社會，所以許多遊樂園推出長者會喜歡的活動和設施。
Some parks are adding outlet stores (購物中心，直銷中心).
Others are adding flower gardens, so elderly visitors can come to the park for flower-viewing (賞花).
And one park is adding a place for seniors to enjoy hot springs.
And parks are also making it easier for seniors to get around.
Some are making sure they have enough wheelchairs for everyone to use.
And others are adding ramps (坡道), so people who can't use the stairs can still enjoy the park.
This sounds like a great way for people of all ages to visit amusement parks and have fun!

Weddings can be expensive (費用浩大).
You may need to pay for a place to hold the wedding.
Then there's the dresses, the flowers, the food, gifts, and so much more.
And then there's the honeymoon!
Some people choose to take a trip to celebrate getting married, and that can cost a lot of money too.
Now, a part of Italy is offering to pay for your wedding!
Lazio is a region of Italy.
The famous city of Rome is in Lazio.
And the government of Lazio will give up to $2,200 US dollars to couples that get married there.
That's more than $60,000 NT!
That money can be used to pay for wedding rings, photographers, and even your honeymoon.
這個政府補貼可以用在戒指、婚紗婚攝、甚至蜜月旅行行程都適用這項補助。
But, there's a catch.
When we say "there's a catch", that means there's more.
It means something is not a simple as it looks.
"There's a catch" 代表一件事情可能有某種隱藏的「機關」、有什麼蹊蹺。
In this case, the catch is that you must spend the money on businesses in Lazio.
The Lazio government has prepared about $11,000,000 US dollars for this idea.
They are calling it "Nel Lazio Con Amore", or, "In Lazio with Love".
The government is hoping it can help businesses in Lazio recover (復原、恢復) from the COVID-19 pandemic.
人類巨兔吃沙拉比賽 Rabbit Loses Salad Eating Competition
If someone challenges (挑戰) you to a salad-eating contest with a rabbit, don't say no, because you just might win.
That's what happened to Raina Huang, when she went up against lettuce-loving Honey Bunny, also known as "Mega".
Huang ate 1.5 kilos of chopped salad in Glendale, California…
But Honey froze (沒有動) and didn't eat any salad at all.
Team Bunny was allowed to replace (代替) Honey with another rabbit named Precious, to see if the second bunny could do better.
But Precious didn't.
The rabbits' owner says rabbits can eat a lot, but they eat slowly.
And maybe the rabbits just weren't very hungry.

So, in today's News Bites:
