Mmm… don't you love the taste of fried chicken?
It's crispy, it's juicy… and it smells delicious!
Even looking at pictures of fried chicken makes me hungry.
Hungry enough to buy a digital image (數據圖片) of one?
Hmm… I'm not sure about that. But some people have been buying digital images made by a fried chicken store in Taiwan.
The digital images are called NFTs (非同質化代幣).
We've talked about them on the show before.
When you buy an NFT, it's like you buy the original version (正本、原作) of the digital image… a code (代碼) to that image that no one else can own.
It means you own that image… and even if someone copies it, it's still yours. 如果你買一個NFT，就算有人複製它，它還是屬於你。
You can buy NFTs online using cryptocurrency (加密貨幣).
Taiwan's Shiyun Chicken Store has made NFTs that include images of chicken, broccoli and mushrooms.
It released them in an auction (拍賣), with prices starting at one U.S. dollar.
But the bids (出價) started coming fast, some of them reaching thousands of dollars.
The broccoli NFT reached a bid of 50 thousand U.S. dollars.
People who own the NFTs can show proof (證據) to a Shiyun Chicken Store, and they can get free food.
I do love fried chicken… but I don't think I would pay 50 thousand dollars for a picture of it!

巴貝多變成共和國 Barbados Becomes a Republic
November 30 will forever be a special day for the country of Barbados (巴貝多).
It is the day the country became independent (獨立) from the UK in 1996.
Barbados was colonized (殖民) by people from England hundreds of years ago, and later, it became an official colony (殖民地) of the U.K.
Like many other countries ruled by the U.K., Barbados became a Commonwealth nation (聯邦國家) after its independence.
The British Commonwealth doesn't mean the U.K. has power over countries that are members.
And the Queen of England does not have power in the government of any countries that are members.
But, officially, the Queen is still the "head of state" (元首), which means the ruler of those countries.
大英國協是一個國際組織，英國並沒有資格影響成員國政府，不過英國女王在法律上是國協德政府元首。
But not any more for Barbados.
On this November 30th, Barbados became a republic (共和國).
It now has a new president, called Sandra Mason.
Barbados held a special event in its capital city to celebrate becoming a republic.
Famous singer Rihanna, who is from Barbados, was there to celebrate.
And Prince Charles of England was there, too.
From now on, November 30th will be an extra-special day for Barbados!
It is a fully independent country.

A famous singer has been named among Britain's wealthiest people.
Heat Magazine has published its annual list of the richest celebrities.
For the under-30 age category (類別), Ed Sheeran had the most money.
It was the third year in a row he topped the list.
英國雜誌排行榜把紅髮艾德列為英國最有錢的未滿三十歲的明星。
Ed has an estimated (估計) total worth of 236 million British pounds.
Second place this year was Harry Styles, who has about 80 million to his name.
The girl group Little Mix was collectively in third place, with 66 million.
Several of Harry's One Direction bandmates also made the list.
據說艾德累積了兩億三千多萬英鎊，是第二名哈利·斯泰爾斯的四倍。
