茄萣濕地迎接獨眼「小麥」 Migrating Birds Enjoy Kaohsiung Wetlands
Does it feel like we've had a lot of rain recently?
Are you enjoying it?
Or do you think rainy days are a pain?
Well, some birds are definitely enjoying all the wet weather.
Kaohsiung officials say a lot of birds have landed in Kaohsiung's Cieding Wetlands (茄萣濕地).
The city says all the rain we've had these two weeks have left a lot of water there.
This means there are lots of ponds, lakes and other places for birds to rest and find food to eat.
These birds fly from far away places to spend winter in Taiwan.
Some of them come from South Korea, China, and even as far away as Siberia.
Officials have seen white-fronted geese, black-faced spoonbills, and lots of bean geese.
茄萣濕地已經陸續出現許多鳥種，包括白額雁、黑面琵鷺、還有寒林豆雁。
And one bean goose is getting some extra attention.
This goose only has one eye.
Birdwatchers are calling it Hsiao Mai (小麥).
They say Hsiao Mai came to the wetlands earlier this month.
And it seems very relaxed.
The birdwatchers saw Hsiao Mai exploring the wetlands and resting with the other bean geese.
They say Hsiao Mai is very brave.
They hope it can enjoy winter in Kaohsiung, and fly safely back to Siberia when the weather warms up.

孤兒小象喝羊奶長得頭好壯壯 Orphaned Elephants Saved by Goat Milk
Baby elephants that have lost their families are being saved…by goats.
These orphaned (孤兒) elephants live on the Reteti Elephant Sanctuary in Kenya.
The sanctuary (庇護所) helps elephant calves (小象) that lost their families.
When the calves are old enough, the sanctuary lets them go back to live in the wild.
The sanctuary first opened in 2016.
Since they opened, they had been feeding the calves with powdered milk for human babies.
But the COVID-19 pandemic made powdered milk very expensive.
The sanctuary decided to try something new.
They are now trying out goats' milk.
Veterinarians (獸醫) at the sanctuary say goat milk is better for the calves.
They say goat milk has a lot of protein (蛋白質).
And it is easier for the calves to digest (消化).
Goats' milk is also cheaper than powdered milk.
The sanctuary says it used to spend a lot of money on powdered milk.
Now, they pay that money to "milk mamas".
"Milk mamas" are women who keep herds of goats (羊群).
They sell the goats' milk to the sanctuary.
And this helps the women to earn money.
They can use the money to send their children to school, or see a doctor.
The sanctuary buys 300 liters of milk from hundreds of goats every day.
Then, they make sure the milk is clean and safe for the elephants.
And they feed the milk to the calves on the same day the goats are milked.
The sanctuary says the calves they take care of have been through a lot.
Some of the baby elephants may have just lost their mother.
Others have been separated (被迫分開) from their family.
All this means the baby elephants are very stressed (很焦慮害怕), and may get sick more easily.
The sanctuary says the goats' milk has helped make the calves stronger and healthier.
「一世代」哈利預告新專輯 Harry Styles Announces New Album
Harry Styles wants you to check out "Harry's House"!
That's actually the name of the UK singer's new album.
It's Harry's third studio album.
哈利斯泰爾斯要推出新專輯了。
Harry says there will be 13 songs on "Harry's House".
And the album will be released on May 20th this year.
Harry, who used to be a member of the boy band One Direction, says his new music is about the idea of "home".
哈利說他的新專輯探討"家"這個主題。
He posted a short video about the album online.
In the video, Harry steps onto a stage (舞台) and smiles.
A piece of wood in the shape of a house is raised up (立起來) behind him.
Harry has been nominated (提名) for Grammy Awards three times.
In 2021, he won "Best Pop Solo Performance" for "Watermelon Sugar".
