Hello everybody, and welcome to a new episode of News Bites!

I'm Trevor Tortomasi…

And I'm Ryan Drillsma.

In today's news:

Treasure in trash, trash in space, and space for a new character in an upcoming movie.

All that and more, coming up next.

Vloggers Accidentally Find Relics in Trash

Have you ever seen a vlog?

"Vlog" is a shorter word for "video blog", which is like a blog (部落格) or journal (日記) made with videos.

And a "vlogger" is someone who makes vlogs!

Two of these vloggers in Taiwan have a YouTube channel, where they like to share videos of their outdoor activities.

Recently, they were making a video about cleaning up trash in Taiwan's mountains and forests.

And they cleaned up around 130 kilograms of trash!

But when they released the video, many people discovered a strange detail.

In their trash, there were some old bottles of wine

And because they were picked up in the ruins of the Ma'an Police Station (新竹馬鞍派出所), some people realized they must be very, VERY old.

In fact… the bottles of wine were from the Japanese Colonial Era

People say this makes them relics (遺跡), and that they should be put in a museum, or somewhere safe.

In the end, the two vloggers apologized (道歉), and returned the bottles to their original place.

It's lucky that they have so much to share with their audience (觀眾), but it's also lucky that their audience pays so much attention to the details!

Space Debris to Collide with Moon

Humans have been traveling to space for many decades now (好幾十年).

We've put some truly amazing rockets (火箭) and satellites (衛星) way up there…

But unfortunately, we can't always bring everything back down to Earth so easily.

And that means our old machines (機器) have left a lot of trash in the space around our planet.

Scientists pay close attention to this space trash, so that we don't accidentally hit it when we travel off of Earth.

And recently, they noticed a very large object moving very quickly toward the moon.

Scientists say it's a giant piece of the Chang'e rocket, that China sent to the moon in 2014.

It was already used in the mission (任務), and was left to float in space.

But now, scientists say it's going to hit the moon!

According to some complicated math, the rocket part should crash into the moon's surface on March 4th, at around 8:00 PM.

Of course we know the moon is big, but space is even bigger, so this is a rare event (很罕見).

And the moon crash might be pretty cool to see, but scientists are still reminding people to stop putting so much trash in space…

We don't want people to get hit out there, too!

Third Sonic Movie in the Works

American movie studio Paramount is developing a third "Sonic the Hedgehog" movie.

The movie will focus on the character "Knuckles", a red echidna who starts off as one of Sonic's enemies, but later becomes Sonic's best friend.

It's not yet sure if Knuckles will go from being Sonic's enemy to his friend in the movies too.

The first Sonic movie earned 320 million U.S. dollars worldwide.

The second movie will be released this April, and will feature actors including Jim Carrey and James Marsden.
