Wangwang designed a Monopoly-style game based on her university's campus map, featuring unique events and locations specific to her school and its 16 departments. The game included hand-drawn maps, cards, and tokens, and was sold during the school's anniversary event.
They faced a dilemma between producing 200 or 500 sets. After calculating costs and potential profits, they decided to produce 500 sets despite the risk, as the per-unit cost was significantly lower. They also considered alternative sales channels if they couldn't sell all units during the event.
The game featured events like getting food poisoning at a specific cafeteria, witnessing couples at the girls' dormitory, and successfully enrolling in a popular professor's class. Each department had its own branch with tailored events, such as staying up late to draw for the Architecture and Art department.
Wangwang worked as an online tutor for a platform called Yiyou, earning around 50 RMB per hour. While it was convenient, she felt disconnected from the students and stopped because she didn't see significant improvement in their performance.
Wangwang tried selling bottled water during a university event but felt unconfident and insincere about the product's value. She didn't make any sales and later realized that her lack of belief in the product hindered her success.
Wangwang participated in a charity activity where she sold 'Love Packages' to raise funds for children in rural areas. She found success by targeting couples and families with school-aged children but ultimately decided sales wasn't her strength after struggling in her second year.
Wangwang took on PPT design jobs through a Taobao store but found it frustrating due to constant client demands for revisions. She earned between 50 to 100 RMB per PPT but quit after a few orders because the workload wasn't worth the pay.
After finishing her postgraduate exams, Wangwang sold her study materials on Xianyu, earning a few hundred RMB. She delegated the task of managing her Xianyu account to her boyfriend, who handled customer inquiries and shipping.
Wangwang briefly worked as a food blogger on Xiaohongshu, earning around 400-500 RMB from a sponsored post. However, she found it challenging to maintain consistency and eventually stopped due to low engagement.
Wangwang emphasized the importance of consistency and focusing on a specific niche. She suggested that ordinary users should stick to one topic and post regularly to gradually build an audience.
