Happy Thursday, everyone. It is time for quick tips. And my tip for this week is you need to take action.
Action will get you further in this business than any class you can take or any mentorship you can engage in. Because when you go to those classes, when you go to the conference, when you sit down with your mentor and all you do is take in the info, but you don't do anything with the information that you're learning, it's absolutely useless, worthless, and a waste of your time.
How do you move the needle as a real estate agent? Girl, you get into action even if you don't know the answers. Because what is the worst that can happen? Nothing. The worst that can happen with no action taken by you to get out there, talk to people, start getting your name out, start making a database, start doing the things is that you have absolutely no action.
business. And guess what? Your actions determine your income. It is not the commission split between you and the broker. It is not the commission split you charge your clients. It is not an easy button and easy leads that come in. It is the actions you take every single day in your business.
The sexiest thing you can do in a real estate career is shift your mindset to understanding that you don't have to be busy every hour of the day, but when you are doing something, it needs to be toward productivity. We all think getting into real estate is awesome. We look at HGTV, we look at all these shows and we're like, oh, I can, you know, selling Atlanta in three days or less. No, this is not how it happens.
You have to be able to get on the phone. You have to maintain the database. You have to do the same thing every single day and stay consistent at it in order to drive your business forward, in order to stay top of mind for your clients, in order to have those deals come through. That means you got to take action.
stop sitting there and asking every agent around you for their listing presentation or their buyer consultation, and then trying to turn it into yours. Just grab one, tweak it and keep going because done is better than perfect. And when you constantly are in learning mode and never in implementation mode, you're never going to get anywhere in this business. And that's just the plain truth and hard facts. If you are waiting to get ready, waiting to be perfect,
I want the best systems. I want the best social media calendar built out for me. I need to get XYZ material to do videos. I have to have this editing thing. I've got to have this database and this CRM. No, guys, you don't.
It'll come with time. And as you build what you're good at doing and what you have a passion for, you might upgrade your video equipment for your YouTube videos. You might decide that you do not want to be on video. And what you're really good at doing is farming a neighborhood. That's fine. But stop hunting the perfect script and just get out there and start talking to people and figuring out what you need to do.
Because inactivity means no activity. And I'll give you guys a little secret that I heard once that is so damn true. Action trumps talent all day long. So when you sit back and you look at some of those top producing agents and you're like, well,
I have the same listing presentation of them or I have a better YouTube channel or I think I know more people than they do. Why are they so much more successful than me? You have to look at yourself. Look at your own daily calendar and see how did you spend your time? Because if you spent eight hours yesterday tweaking your website...
Instead of eight minutes tweaking your website and seven hours on the phone, your actions and your activities dictated that you don't have the sales that your other competition does. You know, those agents out there that you're watching and wondering, why are they so much more successful? Ladies, if you really want to do real estate the right way and you want to take those actions...
Select what you want to go deep on and dive in. You do not have to do Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, farming, circle prospecting, cold calling, all the things. No, just pick one and get really good at it. Go deep, go hard into it and just double down. If you love Instagram, great. Make it your thing.
dedicated effort that every day you're going to post once, do three stories, do a live, give yourself a schedule that you can feel comfortable with on Instagram, go for it. Remember the top influencer on Instagram started out with zero followers. So it really doesn't matter where you are now. It's where you are 30 days from now, and then 60 days from now and 90 days from now.
Every single top producer started at zero. I said it before. I will say it again because I just need you to hear this. Every agent out there closing 100 deals a year started out with zero listings. They started out with zero buyers. They had to determine how they were going to build their business and they had to deep dive into it. And as the market shifts and changes and things occur, you got to be flexible and ready to pivot.
If you have put all your eggs into one basket and the market shifts, you have to be ready to shift too. So again, you have to be ready to take action. I know it's hard out there as a buyer's agent.
you're probably showing and putting in 20 offers for every buyer you have. Guess what? The market will shift again and you will really know how to work a buyer because you went through this market. But right now you also need to be learning how to take a listing because that's part of the market. So I hope that this helped all of you ladies out there today understand that the number one piece of advice I can give you is just to stop sitting back,
