Hello, strange and unusual listeners. Lauren Shippen here, the creator of The Bright Sessions and voice of Sam. Unbelievably, this November 1st marks 10 years since we first released the show. Over seven seasons and three books, we told a story that has been listened to tens of millions of times and that has brought so many people together in so many ways. My life is totally different now than it was 10 years ago because of this show.
I fell in love with making audio drama, which is what I do full time now. I built a community of creative collaborators that became treasured friends, and most importantly, met all of you, virtually or in real life. I have loved hearing your stories, what the show means to you, how you made friends through the fandom, seeing the tattoos that you've had done, and just talking to you about what it means to be strange in a world that seems to want to reject any and all strangeness.
So I want to celebrate 10 years of being strange with you all. So starting in April and then going every month through October, we'll be doing live streams with the cast and crew. First up on Saturday, April 26th at 4 p.m. Pacific, Julia Morizawa, Brigham Snow, Ana Lori, that's Dr. Bright, Caleb, Chloe, and myself, Sam, will be reuniting to talk about season one. So if you've been thinking about re-listening, now is a good time to start. So let's get started.
