I think I'm in very good shape. I feel that I'm in good shape as I was 25, 30 years ago. Actually, I'm probably a little bit lighter, but I'm in as good a shape as I was years ago. I feel very good. I feel the same. But I took I was willing to take a cognitive test. And you know what? If I didn't do well, I aced them.
Dr. Ronny Jackson, who's a great guy when he was White House doctor. And then I took another one, a similar one. And both one of them said they'd never seen anybody ace him. Thank you, President Biden.
You can see he is 6'5" and only 235 pounds. Well, you said 6'4", 200. Well, anyway, that's what you're... Anyway, just take a look at what he says he is and take a look at what he is. Look, I'd be happy to have a driving contest with him. I got my handicap, which when I was vice president, down to a 6. And by the way, I told you before, I'm happy to play golf if you carry your own bag.
Think you can do it? That's the biggest lie that he's a six handicap of all. I was an eight handicap. Yeah. Eight. I've seen you swing. I know you swing. Let's not act like children. President Trump, we're going to turn around. Let's not act like children. Oh, what?
That was tough to watch. Boy, I'm glad I was watching the beer last night. Oh, my God. I mean, I was actually, not to brag, I won closest to the pin at the Golic Subpar Classic on the ladies' hole. I've seen your swing. By default. I should be in that chair. I've seen your swing. What? I'm in this chair because my swing's better than your swing. I'm a four handicap. What's your handicap? I'm a... You hit the ball 50 yards. It's better to be smaller, right? I'm a three handicap. I'd be in for them to just do a whole debate of things in life, like who's better at what. Who's a better cook?
Huh? I'm the grill master. Who can make a better linguine? I've made a great grilled cheese. Who can draw better, huh? Draw me. I'll be one of your French girls. My tomato soup is the best. I'll be the French girl, and whoever draws me the best on a couch wins the election. Ooh, I kind of like that. We should have our own draw off of Chris naked on a couch. A draw off. A draw off. Who can sing better? A sing off? I saw a tweet that said, who can open a PDF format?
and just download a file, and that should be who decides it. If that's the qualification for president, I'm not sure if we would all be qualified, all right? Just saying. That's actually fair. Sometimes you try to open the PDF, and it ends up being something else. I feel like there was a theme in life last night of, is this the best option? It was in the debate, whether LeBron, LeBron getting drafted, is this our best option?
We could just say that blanket statement. Was Bronny the Lakers' best option? Is that what you're asking? Did I say that poorly? Sorry. You said in the draft. I think you said draft, but that's okay. It's early. That's my accent. I think most people would swap Bronny for Biden if they could. Plantation accent. Should we swap both of them and see if there's any material impact?
Yeah. You're not going to see Bronny on the floor and you're probably not going to see Biden speak a lot if he's elected for the next term. I feel like we will see what we should we should we do like over under how many games we see Bronny and Bron play together next season? Under. Under what? Five, ten? Whatever the number is. Whatever the number is. Look at us seamlessly.
weaving the two topics of the day early on in the show, setting up the show. Those are the big two stories. What a day we have. What a night last night. Yeah, what a night last night. I didn't see Caitlin's game. I fell asleep. She had a better first half than a second half. She didn't get enough shots. And it appears that she is not a big fan of her coach, or at least maybe I'm reading between the lines too much. Lucy said that a few weeks ago. I'm not a fan of her either. Don't say that, Jeremy.
I mean, Lisa Bluter's no longer coaching, so... She might be back. Who knows? Tell me what to say here. She might be back. Jess, you were up for the 10 o'clock game? I did, actually. I stayed up for the entire game. So crazy. I didn't say it. You fell asleep during Panthers game seven, one of the greatest hockey games of all time, but you stayed awake for a regular season game at 10 o'clock. Yeah, I wanted to see how many points Jewel Lloyd would finish with, so she ended up having 34 points. Did you bet it? No, she went to Notre Dame. She was in my class. I'm a big fan of her and Skylar Diggins-Smith, so I stay up to watch a few...
WNBA teams. The Storm is usually one of them and they always tip off at 10 p.m. because they're on the West Coast. So I stayed up to watch the end. Jewel Lloyd got her eye almost poked out in the first quarter. She started out like super hot, was hitting all her threes. She had like 13 points and then she had to stay in to hit her free throws after she got her eye poked out and literally her eye was swollen shut and then she came back in and ended up with
34 points. It was a great game. I mean, not a great game for the Fever, but Jewel had almost a, I think it was tied her career high or maybe it was slightly, but there it is. There is the eye. Not great. Not much worse than an eye poke. So I was watching, I watched about an hour of the debate and then this game came on and I said, thank God I have a reason to turn this off because it was...
Very difficult to watch. Just lies here. Losing train of thought here. I was groaning throughout the whole thing. Like 20 minutes in, I was like, I can't watch this. It was very difficult to watch. And I would say, honestly, and I haven't said this about many things, more difficult to watch than the Fevers offense. Wow. That's how bad it was. I'm an Iowa fan. I'm used to it. Doesn't really bother me that much.
Lack of offense. How frustrating is that? To go from Kaitlyn Clark and the Iowa offense, which felt like this great, powerful thing, to now see Kaitlyn Clark on nearly an equally bad offense in the WNBA while your football team has a terrible offense. I think it doesn't bother me that much because I think I'm immune to it. Like at this point, I've gone through the trenches. You can't hurt me anymore? I've seen a 7-3 game where we didn't score one touchdown. If Kaitlyn's not scoring points in a basketball game, I've been through it all.
I think we should just be explicit. The Fever offense is much better than the Iowa football offense. Oh, my God.
We got a new coordinator. We don't know. Kaitlin hit a three-pointer from the logo last night. She always does. The Iowa football has no equivalent on their offense. No Hail Mary for them. They have no Kaitlin to a Leah Boston. What did my dad say early in the week taking a shot at Iowa? He called Wisconsin the... He said Wisconsin was the Iowa of Wisconsin, which doesn't even make sense. Can we break that down for a second? I think he was trying to make a thing about bad offense.
but it was just a weird way of getting there. Iowa is the Wisconsin. No, Wisconsin is the Iowa of Wisconsin. Wisconsin is the Iowa of Wisconsin. I don't... I'm trying to get it because like... Should I call him and call him Kyle? This is a mystery crate. I'm not doing that. Yeah, save that for mystery crate. He didn't mean the Big Ten or anything because...
He's not a Midwestern guy, and I don't think he realizes that there's beef between Midwestern states. It's like an act of hatred between Iowa, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Minnesota, Illinois. They all hate each other. That was really not cool. I think he knows less about Big Ten football than he does about Conor McDavid. If that's true.
I don't know about that. Pretty equal. I'd put them on equal ground. Seven to eight minutes per game? I don't know about that. You played seven minutes in that last third period. Lucy, I think this is a good idea for maybe another segment later on where we try to describe all the Midwestern states when Dan is back. Because Dan is out. This is the start of his two-week vacation. We'll have various fill-in co-hosts throughout the next two weeks.
Am I allowed to name names? I won't name names. It's a surprise. We're going to have some fun guests come in and sit in this chair. But when he gets back, because he needs this too, we'll break down all of the different states of the Midwest for him, you and me, and write little blurbs and try not to offend anyone. I want to give him a map first. He fills out the map.
We tell him how wrong the map is, and then we teach him. I don't say teach him a lesson because that sounds really aggressive, but literally teach him a lesson. We're going to teach him a lesson. You're going to learn about the Midwest. Against your will. Who would be a better fill-in host, Biden or Bronny?
That's a great question. I have to think brawny given we talk about sports often. But I've also never heard him speak. Biden gets better numbers for sure. I think that like to be earnest for a second was a very difficult thing to watch. A lot of existential questions for the Democrats.
Mainly, why would you agree to this? This guy has never been good at speaking before. And you just... You wanted this. You wanted this. And it totally backfired. From the second he walked out on stage. Or it was exactly what they wanted. And it went to plan. So there's a vast conspiracy to... I mean, I don't know. And then the other side of that is that you have someone on stage who's just being crazy and lying and saying horrible things. But...
not getting as much attention because he's at least saying them like coherently. Right. Yeah. That part's crazy that like the greatest criticism that exists right now, when you ask every political expert, every person who watches a debate, it's, oh, but he's so old. While the other one is convicted felon and accused of rape and all sorts of other horrendous things and tried to overturn the election. And we're like, but he is so old and
And it was so funny that the whole CNN panel afterwards all learned that Biden was old during the thing. They're like, I was getting texts the whole time. And they were like, he's old. He has a cold. Wow.
Did he have a cold? Because his voice was raspy. He was coughing, too. There needs to be a sickness there. It's like hockey. It's like the average. I need to sit here. Like after the NHL Stanley Cup, you learn of the losing team and all their injury. He had a broken sternum. I need to know Biden played through something yesterday. The spin when someone drops in the NFL or NBA draft of like, oh, actually, this is what came up on their test, which is why they're falling. He had a bad migraine. Bad one-year-old test. If it comes out today that he had a bad migraine yesterday, I'm going to be like, all right, I feel a little better.
Well, the situation is, who do you replace him with? So you got your vice president with Kamala Harris, which nobody likes. So that's the only person I can really think of in this situation. Yeah, they really set themselves up for failure here in so many ways, Roy. I don't know. I'm not a smart enough political strategist to really solve this.
Solve our nation's biggest crisis right now. Well, there is a third option, which is Robert Kennedy. You got to say that more dramatically. There is a third option. There is an alternate here. I liked how the sentence started because I thought you were going to say something that was a real third option. Notice how I petered out at the interrupt. Yeah. Oh, man. So that was a tough watch. Thursday, right? Today's Friday. It wasn't a tough watch for me because I was watching the bear.
How is the bear? Let me guess, frantic. Yes, it was very stressful. That third episode, because I got through four last night. Oh my God. Spoiler alert. Absolutely stressful. I think I got more gray hair now. Wow. So yeah, but it's an excellent show.
Summer's the best time to run the way you want. Dial it up with new challenges and programs and bring your workouts with you to make the most of outside sunny days. Stugatz, guess what? What? You know what you can do with Peloton? What? Get the app, go outside, ride a bike. Well, I thought you ride Peloton inside. Well, you do, you can ride Peloton inside if it's a rainy day or if it's cloudy or you just don't want to get outside, maybe it's too hot.
It's summertime. Go outside. I record a lot from my office with you, and you've noticed it's sitting there, yet it hasn't been used. Well, now's the time. Summer's the best time to start that push, Stugatz. Right. Can we do it together? Not on the same bike, but we could join a class together. I used to do that. We used to have Guillermo Tan. I'd invite people. We'd all take a class together, same time. So I think you're starting to get concerned about my health and my age, Billy. I sense that with you. We're beyond starting. Okay. Okay.
Whatever road lies ahead, your training starts here with Peloton Tread and Tread Plus. It's not just a bike, a treadmill too. I'm going to go outside. I'm going to get in shape. I'm going to do it with Billy Gill. I want to be in your class. I want you to be my instructor. You know what? I won't be your instructor. You don't want to spend more time with me. No, I can schedule a class and we can ride together. I won't be the instructor of the class. We can have Camila could be our instructor. I like the Grateful Dead class. My daughter, she uses the Peloton. Mm-hmm.
She was on it once and an instructor who was playing Grateful Dead tunes. Let's do that. Okay. Why don't we go for a run outside? Guided run. Peloton. Me and you. That's something we can do together. Okay. Turn on the app. Me and you go outside. Enjoy the summer. Call yourself a runner with Peloton at onepeloton.com slash running. All right.
Don Levitard. In terms of Heat fans, you're the most irrational of us right now. What's the pivot? How irrational? Stugatz. How am I irrational? Did you not hear your voice there? It's going to be tough to hear my voice, dude. Your voice. If I were making a cartoon thing that was meant to symbolize irrational, that's the voice I would give it. Entire premise. This is the Don Levitard Show with the Stugatz. Don Levitard.
I am curious in just checking in with you and as you've had a week, almost five days now to digest being a champion. In all honesty, like what has been the cool, like what was in the, when they won it, the coolest moment for you, the most exciting moment? The most exciting moment, I would have to say probably the Sam Reinhardt shuffle.
And around double zero, Sam Reinhardt started shuffling. He couldn't get his thing off? No, this is like before the horn sounded. He was shuffling towards Bobrowski and he was like, he went over like, yes! Isn't it crazy the video of the way that game ended? We left McDavid all alone.
We put all five of our guys in that corner. If they got that puck out, McDavid was going to have the puck right in front of the net. That would have been such a crazy way to go to overtime. With three seconds left, just like McDavid getting it. They worked on that play in the corner all throughout training camp. But you see McDavid there just like, please, for the love of God. Yeah, that puck was not going to get to him at all. And the fact that Chris Knobloch, all his head coach saying, all we needed was five more minutes.
all we knew was five more minutes. Like, kiss my ass. What are you talking about? All you needed was five more minutes. That's almost like Rod Brendamore last year saying, well, it wasn't really a sweep. Like, that's a ridiculous comment he made. And I know I want to, like, really get into, like, the feelings here because you, more than anyone, have loved this Panthers team. And I know you're a journalist. Like, you want to be down the middle. But, like, was there, like, a media member that you, like, had a hug with? Like, what was the coolest personal moment for you? Right.
Randy Moeller. I gave him a big, big old bear hug when I saw him because he's been here from the beginning as a player and then
In the media part of the team. So yeah, that was a huge hug that I gave him because he deserved it. Man, I want to get you in that parade so bad. You guys are going, right? It's on Sunday? We're going to be there. We were trying to get in the thing. I want to float, even though I don't think there's floats. They said you can't be on a float. No, there's no room on a float. Is it floats? Is it golf carts? Is it boats? I don't want spoiler alert, but I think it's buses. Buses, okay. Because we were thinking maybe they do like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers boat parade thing. I don't want to go after the Panthers, but.
Plenty of room on these buses. Two people is all we needed. No, I'm going to be in the writer's bullpen in front of the stage and the photographers are going to have a bullpen as well in front of the stage. So I'm going to be there. For the speeches. For the speeches after the actual parade.
After being at 11 the other night, I'm going to probably go. You're cupped out? I got everything I needed from that 11 night. I just feel like I could watch it on TV at this point. You guys are already such seasoned champions. You're like, I already got to party with them at a nightclub, so I'm just going to stay home. Kind of like Miami Beach, the traffic around Fort Lauderdale Beach is going to just be insane. I have zero interest in dealing with that. By the way, roads close at 8.30. So if you want to get there, get there early. A.M.?
Why are they doing this on a Sunday? Don't they normally do parades like on weekday morning? This was a, I believe this was a result of the NHL schedule because they have the NHL draft and all of these things that were happening this week as soon as the Stanley Cup ended. They could have done it today though, no?
I think the draft is today. It's today? Yeah. Has Bill Cito got to celebrate at all? I feel like he probably just went right back to work next day. Well, that was a private dinner that the team had. Was that Luongo eating the pasta? Yeah, Luongo ate the pasta. I mean, eating the pasta. Like, he's eating the pasta.
He didn't want to eat that. He took one noodle out of it. Although I did see after dissecting the video, there's a bowl in the cup. Like the pasta is not actually pouring. I'm sure it's still getting saucy, but there is actually a bowl inside. Protecting the interior of the cup. And apparently there's a shot of the keeper of the cup just like having anxiety in the background. I feel like that's nothing. I feel like that guy's seen a lot. Red sauce is corrosive, though.
Yeah. You don't want acid with the tomato. Yeah, you don't want red sauce. It really does. How do you get the red sauce stain out of like a to-go container? You're asking me. I got ketchup all over my white shoes yesterday walking into work. Someone's got to have a tip for that. It's still there. It looks gross. You clean them like three times and then they're still just like orange.
No. You guys don't have this with your Tupperware? Yeah, I have this issue. I have like this orange Tupperware. No. No, you can't even soak that in soapy water. I just want to like throw it away. Tomato sauce stains. This is a fact. I'll tell you, for me, being on the ice with Roy, uh,
It was cool to see Roy smile in a real authentic way that was so genuine that he couldn't hold it back and keep the sort of serious persona. The video, I don't know if Rose took it, the video of them winning the cup where you get Roy's just like, he doesn't even know. He knows he's being stoic, but you see...
The smirk. The joy is creeping in. Dwork kind of gives him the thing. Dwork going crazy. Dwork wanted more from Roy. Dwork was like, Roy. Roy's trying to do the journalist thing there, but you see the smirk and you see the happiness in Roy. You can feel the happiness off of Roy. And it was so cool to see, like, you know, doing the interviews post-game that he and David did with all of the players and having all of these moments, like,
For me being there, I was really excited. I've been going to Panthers games for 15 years. I've been around the team, whatever. But there was no way I could relate to what Roy was feeling. And to see it exemplified in the interviews on the ice. Look at this. Dwork needs to learn his press box etiquette. Roy's playing the game much better than Dwork, for sure, right here. There's a picture that was taken of Alexander Balkov doing an interview. I'm behind him with a...
laughing smile on my face. And behind him is DJ Bean from the What Chaos podcast, who was dejected because he was an Oilers fan. I'm trying to find that picture. I'm going to send it to the video team. I thought DJ Bean was a Bruins fan. What a week. No, Peter Blackburn is a Bruins fan. Okay, fair enough. I do feel like a lot of people jumped on the Oilers bandwagon late there. And now they don't get to celebrate on Sunday.
Your loss. You should have jumped on the Panthers bandwagon like me and everyone else. The panwagon. If we can slow down the tape for a second, I want to go back to the point where Roy gives the half fist pump. He doesn't go all the way with it. He kind of gives you just like an ear fist pump. Like if he's throwing a football just like right here. That's enough. It was a great right there. It's kind of a golfer's move. Yeah. It's like a...
It's like golf fist pump. Yeah. It was a golf fist pump. There it is. Roy, how's your golf stroke? Yeah. Maybe you should be sitting in this chair today. Yeah, no. You think you can out drive me? No, I can't out drive you because usually my tee shots end up going straight to the right. Trump was talking about swing speed.
My man's got some swing speed. Yes, Roy has a very fast swing speed. You hear the whoosh? Yes. Yeah, I need to slow it down. Every time I play golf with Roy, one word keeps coming out of my mouth. Tempo, Roy. Let me get a little bounce. Let me get a little bounce on your step, a little sway action. I don't know my own strength.
I'll just always remember the time we went golfing with Stu at his club. We had like nine of us. Roy almost took off Danny Benitez's hat. Sorry, Danny. Hey, to be fair, he wasn't in the safest space. Probably should have been behind. You got to watch yourself, though, Danny. He's Stunt Dan. He knows the risk that he's taking. So is anyone out there doing the take of this is cool for Bronny and LeBron? Yeah, I think that's, I don't.
see much of the opposite of that. Why? Have you seen a lot of criticism for the Lakers? Yes. Really? It's been nonstop cynical. I can't believe Rich Paul manipulated the league like this. I can't believe the Lakers are wasting a pick on this guy. It's all nepotism. I think this is the coolest thing. And I think we should allow it to be cool. It's okay to like things. And for Bronny and LeBron,
to get to be on the same team together after LeBron was at 17 years old, the chosen one, has gone through this career where he's achieved everything you could have asked him to, won championships with three different franchises, brought the LA Lakers back to relevance, not really ever gotten in trouble for anything serious. And now for his kid who was born after his rookie year to be on the same team, it's
so special. Like, I just think it's awesome. And I think we should be allowed to be happy about it. It's one of those things where I'm like, no one cares about a second, a late second round pick. Right.
If they took him at 17, it's maybe a different conversation. He was the first off the board. Yeah, no one ever argues about the 55th pick. So I'm like, it doesn't really make that much of a difference. I don't know. The video team now has the picture of me and DJ Bean. Look at Roy's face behind Barky's shoulder. That is the duality of man right there between me and DJ Bean. Like that is the complete opposite.
What were you watching on the video board, Roy? I think I was just looking up. Thank God. Looking at the sky. Someone had to have told you a joke there. I know that. No, no, no. That's a laughing. That was me thanking God, Chris. Oh, man. We'll never see that until they repeat next year. We'll never see that smile in the studio because we never will make you as happy. Roy, the group chat's already on the next year. If we lose Ekblad, who gets the A? We're saying either Forsling or Reinhardt.
We got to sign Reinhardt. We got to sign Reinhardt, but I don't know. He wants to stay. Yeah, he does. And then if you watch the... I haven't seen it yet, but the group chat is saying that in the... There's like a six-minute mic'd up. Oh, I'm going to watch it on repeat today when I get home of like the whole championship game. And there's a moment between Rhino and Maurice where you kind of get a feel that Rhino's coming back. Or it's between Zito and Maurice. There's something with Rhino in that six-minute thing where...
It's clear that he's coming back. Yeah, he absolutely wants to come back. The best part about this is with no state income tax, he's going to keep a lot of that discounted money. Yeah. Oh, I love it. What a week. What a week. Tony, you had thoughts on LeBron-y stuff, right? That maybe were different? No, no, it's okay. Everything that you're saying feels to me more like you're happy for LeBron.
Well, that I think is the biggest thing that I find I don't have like an issue with it. But like I do wonder what Bronny really wants, because I think one of the probably one of the hardest things when your parent is super famous and successful is that you end up doing what they want for a lot of your life. And like your kind of identity revolves around theirs, because like no matter what Bronny does, LeBron James will always be the most famous and the best person.
basketball player of all time. So it's probably pretty difficult to follow in his footsteps and to go a different way if you want to. Now, this may be exactly what he wants, and he's very sure that this is... He probably wants respect. Getting drafted by the Lakers is not a bad thing to happen to you. So I'm not going to pretend like it is. But yeah, I think it's probably... I do wonder what he really wants and if he'll ever be able to...
Diverge from what the rest of his family probably wants him to do. Bronny's probably today like, okay, I'm keeping track. Oh, you don't think I deserve to be here? I'm sure Bronny thinks he's going to get to a point where he's a contributor in the NBA. Absolutely. I mean, look. He's a competitor. I'm saying his mindset. The kid suffered cardiac arrest and still came back and decided,
I'm not just going to rest on my dad being a billionaire and decide to stop doing this. I want to come back. I want to make it to the NBA and realize this dream. And will he ever be a significant player in the NBA? Probably not, based off what all of these scouts have been saying. But I got to imagine he will have that chip on his shoulder and be trying to prove like, hey, I'm not just here because of my dad, even though I am just here because of my dad. You think that MJ is looking at all this and being like, man, I could have done more.
I could have got my kid. I just feel like Michael Jordan is like, man, LeBron is owning this league. I was him. Why didn't I do that? Speaking of golf strokes, that's what Michael Jordan's doing right now. He's just out there on the course betting
$20,000 a hole. I think Mike's doing okay. I don't think he's caring about LeBron having the league in his fingertips. I bet he's looking back. Mike had the league in his fingertips for 25 years. Yeah, but he just kind of did the normal thing of like, I'm going to make a bunch of money with advertising. Revolutionized the sport? Jordan's like, I could have just had a podcast with my friend and gotten anyone I wanted to be my coach. Why didn't I think of this? I just came full circle on this. Maybe that's why MJ won so much because he wasn't playing.
like pulling strings in the organization, getting his son in there. He's just like, please give me the best team. The Stugatz chair is rubbing off on you, my friend. He did it with one organization. He did it with one organization. They built it all around him. They built it to his strengths. He trusted them to do their thing. And then when they betrayed him, he left. He retired. He literally owned the Hornets. I think if he wanted to put his son on the team, he could have. He wants to win. He focuses on... And that's why he owned the Hornets.

Don Levitard. I think I would have been on his side. I would have looked at you like, what did you say? I'm telling you, me and my friend, the rest of the way home, all we kept saying was, I ain't cheating. Stugatz. I think he got your ass. I think he got your ass. I got his ass. Chris won this one for sure. Not pathetic. It was great. This is the Don Levitard Show with the Stugatz.
I do want to keep talking about LeBron and Bronny for a minute because I did think it was super interesting and pretty cool. But I'm just curious, like what you guys would think if you're say your dad or your mom or your parent were in the same field as you and they were pretty famous for what they did and pretty well known. And you ended up following in their footsteps and people, you know, you had to fight these accusations of nepotism for your whole career. Like, I just wonder what that would feel like.
Yeah, I don't know. Anyone? It would suck. Okay? It would suck to be disrespected constantly. And you worked really hard. I worked so hard. And it doesn't matter how hard you worked. Why'd you say I? Oh, that's true. I'm just saying, like, if it was me. Hypothetically. I, theoretically. Also, hypothetically, like, would you want to work with your dad? Not at the start, but you finally, like, once they hit a certain age, you're like, all right. You want that time together? It's not going to be around forever, so...
Seems like the right time for Brawny then because LeBron's not going to be around forever in the league. Honestly, you just stumbled into something that is going to be interesting because he is his dad. There are going to be times... I wonder with the dynamic there. I wonder if Brawny is one of these kids because sometimes kids that...
come up with like a lot of money and stuff can be spoiled and like you know talk back to their parents I wonder that dynamic and if there's any of that LeBron's gonna be harder on him than he was on Rio like he's gonna be I would think but I'm the only way for respect is that LeBron will be tough on him and Bronny has that sort of mentality I can report on this nepotism like no one has credentials in this field that's like I can I can tell you what Bronny is feeling to
Okay, nobody can. No one else in sports media can tell you what it's like. And I'm telling you that there are times where he's going to get frustrated with his dad. And it's like, how does he handle that? Yeah. How are those? Does he talk back to him? At practice? Like, no, I'm not. Shut up, old man. Yeah. Like, hey, Rook, go get me a coffee. No, dad. I'm not. Do you think he calls him dad? Like when they're playing? Like, pass the ball, dad. You gotta be Bron. Do you think, has LeBron sent Bronny a text in the last 12 hours of, uh, what up, Rook? Hey,
Hey Rook! Oh for sure! LeBron is like corny like that. So it's exactly how he would behave. Do they live with each other? I have to imagine Bronny's got a place. I actually have no idea. Like if they lived together and obviously they were watching the draft or wherever he was. I mean they have the draft part. They didn't have to watch or unsure. Like let's see if he gets drafted. I think we have video of him at the house or wherever they were like on draft night.
But if you live with now a co-worker, right? You walk by every day like getting ready for breakfast like Which co-worker would you want to live with Tony? That's a good question. It's not a very festive like environment here. So this is the video we're about to watch the video of them watching. Are they in like a theater room perhaps? Yeah, that looks like it. He's dressed nice. I think I could live with Lucy.
I could live with you. I'm kind of messy though, so I don't think you'd actually like living with me. And I don't like that you sleep in so late because I like to be up in like Adam in the morning. And I think I would be nervous that I'd be waking you up. I'm actually a really hard sleeper. When I was a kid, I rolled off my bed in the middle of the night and I sliced my head open on my stepstool and I didn't wake up.
Woke up covered in blood the next day. It was kind of terrifying. Did you have to get stitches? I did not have to get stitches, but there was like, so I woke up and like my hair was sticking to my face. I was like, what is this? This is one of my earliest childhood memories. Oh my God. How old are you? I was probably like six or seven. My parents were still together. That's how I know. Wow. Yeah. And so I like woke up. I'm like, why am I so sticky? And then I touched my hand and I'm covered in blood. So then I started crying because I said, oh my God, I don't know what happened to me. And then I get off the bed and I noticed my stepstool, which was wooden, had like
blood on the edge. How high up was your bed? It was pretty high up. And then I went to school and then all the teachers had to pull me aside and be like, did something happen at home? And then that made me cry because it doesn't sound believable that I rolled off my bed in the middle of the night and didn't wake up. Wow. Poor Lucy. But I'm a really heavy sleeper. It takes a lot to wake me up except for my neighbor does it really well.
Because they blast EDM at 3 a.m. It's actually usually Call of Duty, so it always sounds like I'm living. Yeah, it's horrible. In a war zone, huh? Yeah, I'm like in the trenches, literally. It's horrible. I'll like wake up and it's like machine gun fire. And I'm like, oh my God, it's nine in the morning. Stop. Chris, could you live with your dad at this point in your adult lives? I don't think so. I mean, I could stay with him for a couple weeks maybe, but there's no living at this point. I don't think so. That's longer than I would...
think I could stay with my parents. I do think the Nepo baby stuff is kind of funny on Brawny, considering the owner of the Los Angeles Lakers directly is a Nepo baby. There's so much of this around the league and how guys get to the league. Are you a Nepo baby if it gets passed down to you? Are you a Nepo baby if you're an athlete? Yeah, that's what a Nepo baby is. No, okay, that's not where I was going with this. Yes, that is actually... That's like textbook definition. But I mean, for athletes, I feel like we never criticize...
sons or daughters of athletes for being good at sports. Like maybe you get a little bit farther because you have the name. And obviously I think in, in Bronnie's case, like that's what the debate is over, right? Like, would he really have been drafted by the Lakers in the second round? Which again, like no one really tends to care about if you weren't LeBron's kid, but like there's tons of, of athletes that pass down their athletic genes to their kids. And like, I just don't feel like we get upset over that. Like Austin Rivers, I've seen him kind of get that,
Like you're only, and he's like, I was a Duke recruit and I was player of the year. Like, yeah, he was good at Duke. It's not like he was a different category. Right. But I've even seen him throw it. Like he gets hit with that. Yeah. He does because his dad kept trading for him or trading him away. Uh, but his whole career ended up being based around his dad's teams. But like,
there's no reason why, you know, Bo Bichette exists. And a lot of the time, the reason these guys end up being so good isn't just the talent. That's a cool name, Bo Bichette. I mean, who's not drafting a Bo Bichette? That's also true. But it's because you have the money and the resources to be able to train. The best nutrition. So Bronny probably wouldn't have been an NBA player, but there's actually, Tony and I were talking about this before, there's probably some undrafted player who only went undrafted
because Bronny was drafted, because there were like four slots after that, who ended up getting to choose the team that he went to, and maybe will end up developing into one of those good undrafted players. And so maybe that kid ends up being the beneficiary of this. We all talk about it like, oh, there's some kid who didn't get drafted. But you know what? Maybe there's someone whose career gets to benefit because of Bronny's nepotism. There's two people looking for a job. I'm going to hire my son. Hey, but you're going to find another job.
And this might work out for you. This will be better for you. So this is going to be a good thing for you. There's some agents. I mean, it's not a terrible thing. There's some agents that purposefully tell teams, like, hey, don't draft him because he wants to go play here. That same player could just not, could go get an invite to a camp, get cut, and then all of a sudden they're wishing they were drafted. It's possible they could do that as a second round pick. What were you saying yesterday about when you spilled your coffee everywhere in the morning and told me not to get you a new one? Yeah, I had a really bad day yesterday. Yeah.
I spilled my coffee. Sorry for bringing that up. Thank you. No, I'm doing really good. Thanks for asking. The burnt toast theory is like it's this like theory online where I saw it on TikTok where it's like if you burn your toast and you had to make another toast, like the theory is like if you hadn't burned your toast, you would have gone on your way to work and you may have gotten in a car accident or something. Butterfly effect. Yeah, yeah. That's what I said. But I feel like that aged me.
Because now that's an old reference. Good movie. When did that movie even come out? Underrated movie. 2004, I was right. What setting do you guys go on the one through five on your toast? I like a crisp... Your four?
Gymnance. I'm a gymnance level. Like, I want that shit really burnt. It's actually not levels. It's minutes. Yeah, it's minutes on the toast in the kitchen. What? Yeah. First of all, a lot of toasters, you just see like the... Like there's dots. There's like a little thing of toast and the first one's this high and the next one is this high. But it's equivalent to a time.
Yeah. I'm not so sure. I don't know if he's right about that. I'm a big air fryer person now. I toast my toast in the air fryer. The air fryer, I hate to admit, because I was like, I don't need one of those. It takes up too much space. Like, I have an oven and a microwave. Why would I need an air fryer? And I will admit that.
Typical anti-air fryer propaganda. Very stubborn because it has changed my life. Big air fryer. And I love toasting my toast in the air fryer. I don't know why. I like being able to see it. I like being able to know if I need to just turn the knob just a teeny bit just to get the right level of crispness. It is the perfect toaster.
And I'm not being paid to hawk air fryers. According to tasteofhome.com, Chris and I are right. This is about levels and not minutes. I mean, there's also a lot of toasters out there, guys. But the levels correspond to times, right? Like, it's not... It doesn't change. When I'm in there four, I don't feel like my toast is in there four full minutes. It doesn't take that long to toast toast. Hmm.
If I put it at nozzle four, it's like two and a half minutes, three minutes. We should time it. This would be a good science fair experiment. Do we have a toaster out there? I'll go do this right meow. I would wait until the break. According to the spinoff.co.nz, your setting one is one minute and 30 seconds. Setting two is one minute and 49 seconds. Setting three is two minutes and 12 seconds. Setting four is two minutes and 38 seconds and so on and so on.
And that's according to what? Love New Zealand. This is the spinoff.co.nz. Maybe that's your toaster. It's New Zealand toast. Yeah, New Zealand toast. Down under. Toast backwards. That's a callback from Mystery Crate. I wasn't there. Can we go back to the Caitlin Clark thing for a second? Yes. Because we didn't play the video yet. I want to play the video of her in her press conference last night after the fever loss to the storm. And just tell me if you get the same impression from this as I get.
the best advice that has given you in the season nobody gives me advice again i wish wait what was the question what's the best advice you've gotten in game and she says no one gives me advice in game i wish and then like kind of laughs kind of gives off everyone's against me her coach is not giving her any sort of like that seems like a career thing though right not just in the wmba but her entire career including high school right
Just not giving her advice on the court? No. Oh, she's going at the coach there. Okay, I misread it. No, like Lisa and so Wright Thompson released a great article before Caitlin was in the W just about her time at Iowa and they talked about how you have to very specifically coach Caitlin. She's
a very unique prospect. So they definitely coached her. That was a thing. You would see in-game adjustments at Iowa all the time. I think the thing is, with me, I'm not used to seeing Kaitlyn on such a bad team. The pieces around her aren't bad, but Christy Sides just really hasn't. She makes weird roster changes.
choices she'll take caitlin out whenever she's playing really well like she'll kind of shit on her players like came out read private text from caitlin i was like yeah that was weird why would you do that that was after caitlin wasn't chosen for the olympic team she had a very like diplomatic answer in her press conference and then the head coach of the fever was like she texted me and said they woke up a monster yeah she also came out they don't they don't play with nef
And it's just like, hey, girl, maybe stop throwing your team under the bus. It is a pretty harmless quote to release. That's pretty obvious that that would inspire her to work harder. That's basically her saying, this is going to inspire me. Like, I'm going to... But I think when you're a player of Caitlyn's, just like...
attention level. The next game they lost, Kaitlyn didn't have a good game and the entire internet was like, oh, they woke a monster. You need to be smarter because you know it's going to make me look bad. Kaitlyn is a professional. She was a marketing major in college. She's a pretty professional when it comes to media training. She knows what to say and what not to say. For Chrissy to read her text message was weird. They don't seem to have any sort of vibe to each other. It doesn't seem like a good fit.
And that's also because I'm also biased, and I think Kaitlyn should win every game. I think she should play for the best coaches in the whole world, and I just, Christy, get it together. I see Aaliyah Boston giving her some sort of, I don't know if we'd call it advice, but she seems like she's giving her pointers and stuff throughout the game. And Kaitlyn's talked about that, that Aaliyah has been huge for her. Same thing with Erica Wheeler. That was very clearly a direct shot at Christy's sides and none of her teammates. Would you say you're not on Christy's side? Nope.
Get it? Because Christy sides? Send him away. I think I can do that. You have the power now? I don't want to, though. It's mean. Thank you. I like when everyone's here. It's harder to do this when there's less of us. That's also true. Can we add someone? How about when we're not, when we make good jokes, we add somebody? So not now, though. Billy just walks in. Next good joke we make, Ethan walks in.
First on air time for Ethan. Do you have that power? I just did. Ethan, come talk on the mic. You're not in the big chair, though. Ethan, in the room. Your handicap isn't as good. Yeah, that's true. I was draining putts, by the way, last weekend at the Golic Subpar Classic. We don't need to get into it. I've seen your chipping. I didn't say chips. I said putts, okay? And they were some really, they were the best putts. No one's seen putts like these before.

Can we do it together? Not on the same bike, but we could join a class together. I used to do that. We used to have Guillermo Tan. I'd invite people. We'd all take a class together. Okay. So I think you're starting to get concerned about my health and my age, Billy. I,
I sense that with you. We're beyond starting. Okay. Whatever road lies ahead, your training starts here with Peloton Tread and Tread Plus. It's not just a bike, a treadmill too.
All right.
