Shownotes Transcript

The Trump administration has announced a tremendous trade deal with China. Global stocks are starting to skyrocket here in the U.S. It's looking like the markets are going to jump about 3 percent, over 1,000 points. So massive news for people's retirement accounts, 401ks. All across the board, great news.

Now, China is going to keep a 10 percent tariff on the United States, but the U.S. will keep a 30 percent tariff on China. Trump says this is going to help bolster American manufacturing and compete with the cheap labor that China has. Essentially a minor victory. But liberals are arguing Trump won nothing. All he did was make a huge mess and then backtrack when realized it wasn't working.

Well, Scott Besant says that when Joe Biden came into office, what they found was that China simply stopped adhering to their obligations in these trade deals because they knew he would do nothing about it. So there's a couple of ways we can look at the story. Donald Trump slamming his fist on the table, threatening China with a trade war, forcing them to back down, get back into shape and adhere to the obligations they already had.

Or look at it this way. Trump just scored a 30 percent tariff on China to help bolster American manufacturing without completely wiping out the businesses that are reliant on Chinese manufacturing. Let's jump into the story. I'll show you the details that we do have in the statement from the president. We do have this from CNN. Take a look. Pre markets as of right now, we are the market is open. But of course, CNN has an updated pre market.

We're looking at 2.5% for the Dow is up. S&P is up 3%. NASDAQ futures 3.85. So all across the board, really good news. The New York Times says global stocks jump after U.S. and China cut tariffs. A temporary reduction in punishing tariffs agreed. Agreed after a weekend talks between American and Chinese officials signaled a de-escalation in the trade war between the world's two largest economies. And we can see a major rebound. Very good news.

They say futures for the S&P 500 suggested that U.S. stocks would open 3% higher when trading begins in New York on Monday morning, which would be the best day for the index since April 9th, when a huge rally was spurred by Mr. Trump pausing his reciprocal tariffs on all countries except China. Futures for the tech-heavy Nasdaq climbed about 4%. And they're going to mention a bit more. We know this pretty massive trend.

They say the U.S. would reduce the tariff on Chinese imports to 30% from its current 145%, while China would lower its import duty in American goods to 10% from 125%. After the statement's release, the U.S. dollar strengthened against a wide range of currencies. U.S. Treasury yields also rose. Elsewhere, Hong Kong's benchmark Hang Seng Index jumped about 3%, while Europe's stocks 600 rose about 1%.

Oil prices, which are sensitive to expectations of global economic growth, also rose, gaining more than 3%. Despite the recent recovery in markets, investors have remained anxious, et cetera, et cetera. We know they say Mr. Trump's on and off again tariff policy, the highly staged managed de-escalation between the U.S. and China on Monday was notable for providing more clarity about the potential contours of Trump's on and on again, off again tariff policy, said George Saravellos, global head of foreign exchange research at Deutsche Bank.

He noted that China, which runs a huge trade surplus with the U.S., now faces a 30% tariff, while Britain, which has a relatively balanced trade relationship with the United States, reached an agreement last week that resulted in 10% tariffs for most goods. It is reasonable that these two numbers now set the bounds of where American tariffs will end up this year, a material increase in visibility from just last week. So, of course, I mentioned we've got the—I don't know if we have market open just yet—

We don't have the data yet. They're still tracking data from Friday. After hours, we can see if we've got any similar news as a pre-market. So it's looking pretty dang good for all y'all's 401ks. We do have this statement. U.S. announces China trade deal with Geneva. This was just yesterday with Scott Besant saying that they've come to an agreement. This is huge news. And immediately pre-markets after market after hours trading started to skyrocket.

Now, we have this video, which I want to play for you guys from Scott Besant from the White House about China and what they were doing during the Biden administration. What has to happen is it has to be fair for the American people. But in January 2020, President Trump produced a template. We had an excellent trade agreement.

agreement with China and the Biden administration chose not to enforce it. The Chinese delegation basically told us that once President Biden came into office, they just ignored their obligations. So we all already have a large framework. The other thing to remember here, Jonathan, is that this is a pause down to 10 percent.

The April 2nd level for China is 34%. So we will be working to see where their final reciprocal number ends up. And the negotiations are a combination of tariffs, non-tariff trade barriers, currency manipulation and subsidies of labor and capital. Very interesting.

So it's interesting to me that we have a lot of liberals right now saying things like this wasn't a deal at all. This is just Trump walking things back because he realized he screwed up and was causing problems. I disagree. I disagree. Listen, first, for the people that didn't fall for the liberals trap in believing the fake news.

They were fine. If you so when when the news broke on the tariffs, I didn't sell any of my stock or any of my investments. I don't have that much. I have a good amount, but it's not like retirement money or anything like that. I didn't sell and I've completely recovered 100 percent. Like I don't I'm not I'm not literally in just like the S&P. I've got a bunch of different stocks. Mine have all recovered a lot of tech stocks and things like that. So going pretty well.

The people who bought and really believed in Trump, it was going to play out. They made a lot of money. But I know liberals are going to say that a lot of people sold because the market was dropping and they panicked. You got to believe that Trump's got a plan for these things. And at the very least, I just said I'm not going to react and panic to what Donald Trump is doing. As Trump said, he called him panicans. This is a weird word, but sure. Here's the issue.

Biden's administration, according to the Trump White House, was not enforcing the trade obligations China had, meaning China was able to get away with ripping us off if at the bare minimum Trump did nothing. But like, let's say Trump really did say 145 percent tariffs. And then a month later, like, OK, no tariffs anymore.

The goal is to reset where China is at. So they get back to upholding the obligations they have. Now, that being said, I don't know what obligations those might be. And it certainly is an easy way to say we win, guys. This is why. So I'm not exactly sure what those obligations China wasn't adhering to was. But let's also address the hard numbers. A 34 percent tariff remains. This is textbook big ask.

Donald Trump comes in and says, we got free trade, basically China, minimal tariffs, 145. Everybody panics. OK, 34. Everybody cheers and get this. The liberals that are saying Trump did nothing. He just walked out of the way back. He convinced you that a 34 percent tariff on China is nothing and he's abandoned everything that that's that's the play. I don't know if Trump's got any grand plans. I don't know if he's just shooting from the hip. Probably. But.

We are currently sitting at a 34% tariff on China, which we didn't have before. And the market has nearly completely recovered. Pretty amazing if you think about it. Now we have this fact sheet from the White House. They say today the U.S. issued its first joint statement in many years on trade with China, negotiating in Switzerland. Both parties affirm the importance of critical bilateral economic trade.

for too long unfair practices and America's deficit with China have fueled the offshoring of American jobs. In reaching an agreement, the U.S. and China will each lower tariffs by 115% while retaining an additional 10% tariff. Both sides will take these actions by May 14th. The trade deal is a win for the U.S., demonstrating Trump's unparalleled expertise in securing deals that benefit the American people. He says China will also suspend its initial 34% tariff on U.S. and announce on April 4th for 90 days.

The U.S. will remove the additional tariffs imposed on China. It's going to keep Section 301 and Section 232 tariffs. They will suspend its 34% reciprocal tariff on April 2nd for 90 days, but retain a 10% tariff during the period of the pause. The 10% tariff continues to set a fair baseline that encourages domestic production,

By imposing reciprocal tariffs, Trump is ensuring our trade policy works for the American economy. So it may actually be that they suspended the punitive tariffs down to 34. And then as of this morning, I've announced they're pausing that to 10 percent, giving us a flat equal tariff with China. The question is, let's let's let's check this one was were there.

Any tariffs on China before, let's say, 20, just before 2025, let's say before before Trump got in office, we'll get the total amount of tariffs. And let's see if it's if it's 10 percent or less, because I'll tell you this right now before the day even comes in. If Trump really did walk it back down to 10 percent, I'm curious what exactly they did accomplish here. Let's see. U.S. tariffs on China.

Trump initiated these tariffs in 2018 and 2019 with ranging from 7.5 percent to 25 on specific goods largely related to technology. Phase one deal. So it looks like this is a OK. Wow, this is really interesting. As a blanket increase to 10 percent is at bare minimum a full on new tariff for a lot of different goods, a blanket 10 percent. So, again, I'll stress this.

Before Trump made these moves, there was limited to none. According to that, I just pulled up right now. I mean, I'm not an economist, but there's a 10% flat tariff now. Before it was selective on certain goods related to technology and intellectual property.

They affected specific goods ranging from 7.5 to 25. Now there will be an additional 10% on everything. And so not 34, it looks like. Could be wrong. Either way, it looks like Trump was able to big ask a tariff play. If Trump announced a 10% tariff on China, market takes a hit. People get worried. But this, and especially with liberals saying that Trump has backtracked on everything, it's convincing the markets, at the very least, that we're back to base and we aren't.

The market's recovered, probably going to go up way more. Very interesting. And then we do have this joint statement on U.S.-China economic trade meeting in Geneva, which, yeah, yeah, yeah, we get it. We get it. But major news, major news this morning. We have a lot of other news breaking this morning. Of course, Trump will be signing an executive order related to drug prices. Of course, liberals are once again angry, calling it hypocrisy and making fun of MAGA. I just want to say this, guys, if you're really liberals,

and Trump is lowering the cost of drugs, you'd say, thank you, Trump. This is fantastic. Instead of saying, ha ha, we're getting something good. They're saying, I thought this was communism, MAGA. I don't know, whatever. You're winning, right? You got something you wanted. What are you complaining about? I'm gonna leave it there, my friends. Stay tuned. Smash the like button. Share the show with everyone you know. Next segment will be coming up in a little bit. We'll see you all then. It's a growing trend.

Young people are finding the church expressing interest in Jesus Christ. Many people in this country are starting to become Christian or return to their faith. Notably, Russell Brand famously got baptized and is now a Christian. Even many pro skateboarders who are largely viewed as degenerates. They don't really make a lot of money. They do drugs. They hang out. They're not even rock stars. Many of these pro skateboarders were finding interest.

They're getting baptized. Joe Rogan may be a great example of this shift when he said he's sticking with Jesus in questioning the Big Bang theory. Now, I'm not saying Joe's a Christian guy. I'm not saying that in this article he's professing his faith in Jesus. The point he's making is that Jesus seems more probable than the Big Bang. Interesting nonetheless.

Because that's the path you walk down where you end up saying you're going to be Christian. But this is a growing trend. Let me play this clip for you. We played a little bit in the intro, but I want to show you this clip. We have this from the Postmanial. Podcast host Joe Rogan has once again expressed growing interest in Christianity during his recent episode of the Joe Rogan Experience, telling the guests he finds the idea of Jesus Christ increasingly compelling and even more logical than scientific explanations.

He was speaking with writer and TikToker Cody Tucker. Rogan said, I'm sticking with Jesus. Jesus makes more sense. People have come back to life. Let me play the clip for you. You can hear it in its entirety. Well, space is the ultimate who the fuck knows because we can only see so far. We see so far. But even so far is only so far. I'm going to pause. I do want to kind of dissect a lot of what they're saying. The first thing you always got to understand about philosophy of knowledge is

We actually don't know. We don't see at all. We have faith. This is an important understanding many people do not have. Like I had this argument with Ian over and over and over again. But people are convinced everything they were told is true. No, the only thing that I know is that I know nothing. That's true. I believe some things because I've chosen to.

For instance, Joe says we can only see so far. We, Joe, maybe he has. So I won't speak for him. But most people have not actually looked through any of these telescopes. They've not actually looked at any of these planetary bodies. They just believe it because someone told it to them. Some people have done the research and I happen to be more of a man of science than religion.

But there is, and I'll explain why, but let me play more. And then they're saying like it's always expanding, which that can't be true. Because what is it expanding into? If space is space, you know, if they're like, oh, it's like blowing up a balloon where everything's, okay, but you're blowing up a balloon in a room. Right. So what's the room that you're blowing the balloon into? And then that's in a bigger room. And then that's in this. Not right. It may be, well, actually, I'll let you. And there's the concept that it's actually finite.

It's not infinite. It's some sort of donut shape. It's like, we have no idea. It goes back around eventually. But then who made all that? Right. Like, is there a God? Did God make this? Or is God the universe? Yeah, but then who made God? And then that bothers me. Right. Like, who made that thing? Is that a thing that we think that, like, because we were born and we die, that we have these biological...

limitations that we attach to the universe itself. That's very... Yeah, that's fair. Yeah, that we see things as being built and destroyed. That there's always been something. Wouldn't it be crazy if there wasn't something at one time? That seems even crazier than there always has been something. 'Cause if it's just the nature of everything, there is always something, right? It couldn't be nothing and then all of a sudden everything.

That seems... Because what started that, what kicked that off? Exactly. What snapped its fingers? That's McKenna's great line, Terrence McKenna had a great line about the difference between science and religion is that science only asks you for one miracle.

I want you to believe in one miracle, the big bang. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's a good one. It's a great line. It's because it really is true. And it's funny because people would be incredulous about the resurrection of Jesus Christ, but yet they're convinced that the entire universe was smaller than the head of a pin. And for no reason than anybody's adequately explained to me, it makes sense. Instantaneously became everything. Yeah, yeah. Okay.

I can't buy that. I'm sticking with Jesus. Yeah. Jesus makes more sense. This is the funny thing. Religion, creationism, evolution, science. Now, I think it's fair to say that some things are easily observable by the average person. What I can say is I have here this hilarious rubber mallet. Raymond left it here. And I know that if I bashed my monitor right now with it, it would break. See, I do know that's true.

However, there are greater questions about, say, what do we breathe in? You can do a simple experiment to know that there is a vacuum and that air exists. And that's what high school science class is for. But there are greater questions we can't answer. How did the universe start? Theoretical astrophysics, we think. You know, what happens is when we look through these telescopes, we see I think it's a redshift. I don't even know these things.

Let's get the data pulled up while I talk. I'm pretty sure it's the redshift because I just read some of this stuff. Redshift is a phenomenon where light from an object in space appears shifted toward the red end of the spectrum, meaning its wavelengths are stretched and its frequency decreases. What this implies is that the object is moving away from you because as the universe is expanding and the object is moving away, it makes the light wavelength stretch out. When it's moving towards you, the light is compressing because it's

moving towards the light. So that's a blue, I believe that's a blue shift. I don't know. I'm not a, you know, physicist or anything like that. So we did this and we were like, hey, everything is kind of red shifting and moving away from us. So the universe is expanding and it looks like it's expanding faster.

Well, back in the day, there were a handful of theories. There was solid state theory. There's big crunch theory, the argument that the universe will expand outward, but then collapse back inward. All of all of those are just ideas. And there's a battle of math trying to figure out what is true and what isn't. Joe Rogan is not wrong. Now, the funny thing is, he said people come back to life all the time. He's correct. But that wouldn't be a miracle, would it?

Still, it's enough for people to believe that it actually happened. Then we can have a scientific secular view of what Jesus is in that he's a man who preached this new view of Judaism, essentially, of Christianity, what it came to be. And when they crucified and stabbed him, some have argued, these are secular individuals, he didn't actually die.

He was comatose. And when they put him in the cold, dark cave, it slowed down his functions so that he didn't bleed out and die instantly, allowing him to recover a little bit and then escape and run away. Or if you were of the faith, he died. And then on the third day, he was resurrected. That's a miracle. The other one is someone trying to explain it. Either way,

Here's the thing. We know people exist. Sometimes people come back to life. There's potentially powers beyond us. Both religion and the Big Bang contend there's powers beyond our understanding, in which case Joe's making a great point. It is actually much simpler mathematically, logically, to say the universe was created and God sent his only son and all of those things than to believe in the Big Bang. Now, here's what I have to say.

I lean towards science for a variety of reasons. I've actually built radio technology personally. I actually built a remote control can of green tea. It's not super complicated to make these things. People think it's more like magic. But when you really go in there and you figure out how to, you know, blast radio waves, batteries and wires and all that stuff, it's not the most complicated thing in the world.

I put a couple electric motors on the thing, put a remote control receiver on it, fired away. It rotated a—I put a green tea can and another can on top, which vibrated it and allowed it to float across the table. I built that. My point is I've actually done the tests on some of these technologies, and for that reason, I am inclined to believe the rest of science is likely true, but not all of it. What we are seeing, which is fascinating, is—

There is a blind faith in science that assumes it's all true, but no one's actually done the work. And of course, it's always funny. I had a bit about this, but this is, you know, it's funny. I talked to atheist, agnostic, secular individuals. And when I make this point, how do you know what you're breathing is air, is oxygen? Nobody has a good answer because they've never actually done any of the tests. They just were told it's true and they believe it.

Now, you can argue because I know I've done vacuum tests and I have vacuums and we understand how that works. Sure. But I mean, oxygen, how have you how do you know that you actually like the actual chemical composition of the gas that we exist in? Most people have not done any of the science. They just believe it's true. They have no argument then.

That's exactly what I was arguing with Ian about. Now, a lot of people who are secular say that's just from what's always sunny in Philadelphia. No, it is an extremely common grade school level religious study point that is made all the time. And it's always sunny was making a joke. Basically, you had, you know, Mac, who's religious, being like, how do you actually know any of these things? And then the argument is, I read it in a science book and they had the pictures. And then he goes, oh,

I read in a book that Jesus was a son of God and he rose from from death. He was resurrected. And it says, yeah, well, I have a scientist who told me is like, oh, a man you just believe to be right wearing a white robe. Well, a man in a white robe told me that's the point. None of these people have actually done the scientific tests. Take a look at this. No sex, no booze. We're off to church. Gen Z have found God from the times dot com.

A YouGov study has revealed that young adults, particularly men, are going to church in increasing numbers. So what's behind this resurgence in faith? Hannah Evans meets the new 20-something Christians. Interesting. Here's one from Barna. 52% of teens are very motivated to learn about Jesus. I'll tell you, I'm still biased towards the science. I'll admit it.

Big Bang's a miracle. But to be fair, for all the miracles of physics and reality, I don't think any of it disproves God. In fact, I think it is all mathematically evidenced towards a God. Maybe the universe is God or God is the logic and the logos that composes all of existence. Who knows? I don't. Some people think they know. And none of that means Jesus could not have been here and all that stuff may maybe actually happened.

But I view these things as being able to coincide with each other. I'm not a Christian, by the way. But I do think that there is a lot of people now, especially these young people, who are looking at the question of humanity. And they're asking, what has this liberal secularism science faith gotten us? Nothing but pain and decay. That's a bad thing. And then you start to wonder about why we're here. It can be painful sometimes. Why are we here?

Why? Why is anything existing? What is existence? Baffles the mind. Now, Joe made a great point. Maybe the idea of creation exists because we as humans are born and we die and we assume others must be born and die. But the reality is the matter that makes us up was always here. Nothing is ever created. It's just rearranged. So that is

I think is simple enough to prove it. God didn't need to be created. The universe is. There you go. But I think for the average person, when questioning their existence and what is our purpose here, the nihilistic atheists say, there isn't one. So do whatever you want. Okay. And then what happens? People are unhappy. They're depressed. They're miserable. That nihilistic worldview drains you and leaves you wanting.

You don't need Christianity for this, but when you find family and duty, you feel fulfilled. It is within you. I think this is why people are turning to Christianity. It's not so much a question about the nature of reality. It's a question of the nature of our purpose, and at the bare minimum, a purpose being offered. Now, as for what Joe is saying, he's not saying he has faith in Jesus, but he is making a powerful point for a lot of people. Resurrection seems more probable than the Big Bang. That's kind of a crazy thing to think.

But he's even saying it from a secular point of view. Like, people come back to life all the time. Not even a miracle. Just like a guy was dying and then he resuscitated. Yeah, it's interesting. But messages like that, they're going to lead to more Christians. I'm going to leave it there, my friend. Smash the like button. Share the show with everyone you know. Stay tuned. More segments to come, and we will see you all in a little bit.

Donald Trump has announced he will be signing an executive order that will reduce drug prices, prescription prices in this country by upwards of 80 percent. The hard number, of course, on average being 59 percent. And the first thing I want to say is he doesn't have the authority to do that. Donald Trump can sign the executive order, but it will do little because it's going to be an act of Congress to change prescription drug prices. So this is largely, in my view, a

I don't want to say just a PR stunt. I think he's trying to put pressure on Congress because they're do nothings. But hopefully this will put the ball in their court. And I think Trump is saying he wants to sign this executive order to get drug prices down, to win approval because it's a popular thing. Drugs cost too much money. But he's also putting Democrats in an awkward position where they're attacking him for it. Guys, I just want to say this. Executive orders can't change the cost of drugs.

It is not a price control because the president doesn't have the authority to change prices by snapping his fingers. Now, it really does come down to if the pharmaceutical companies want to adhere to whatever he tells them to do. But that's more of their personal choice. Only an act of Congress is going to make these companies change. Or, I mean, market factors can do it, too.

The executive authority means that existing laws can or cannot be enforced depending on what the president wants to happen. Certain collections may or may not happen. So Trump can levy certain things about the executive branch to drive prices down, but it could be unconstitutional. Say if Trump was, he really wanted to apply his thumb on the scale. He could say something like,

We are going to seek and collect every fine imaginable and send the DOJ your way because your prices are so high that we think you're defrauding the market. He could go through executive branch agencies and say, your prices are too high. So we're instructing our, you know, FTC partners, SEC partners to begin investigating. And that pressure could apply. Thus, they say, OK, we're going to drop our prices.

However, that is not constitutional. I mean, he can do it, but he could be easily sued and probably win the courts. Let me let me put it simply. Democrats should be cheering this on. It's an executive action that Trump is taking to lower drug prices, which is a Democrat aligned policy. Instead, they're attacking him and calling MAGA communists. OK, well, let me show you the story, give you the details, and then we'll break down the political arguments here.

NBC News says President Trump is set to sign a sweeping executive order on Monday that aims to cut prescription drug prices in the U.S. by aligning what the government pays for certain medications for the prices paid in other countries. The order, experts say, is a reimagined and far more aggressive version of Trump's policy during his first term to cut drug costs, which failed to take effect after a judge blocked it.

As I already stated, is likely to happen again. But Trump's basically saying, hey, if the U.S. is going to buy drugs from you, we won't pay more than a penny of what the what the country that pays the lowest does. Like the original policy, health policy experts expect it will meet significant pushback from the drug industry. The new order directs HHS RFK to come up with price cutting goals in 30 days. White House officials said on a call Monday, the move will kick off a round of negotiations between Kennedy and the drug industry.

Should talks stall, Kennedy will move to enforce the most favored nation pricing model, capping the U.S. prices the lowest paid by other wealthy nations. Most notably, officials of the policy will not be limited to certain drugs under Medicare, as it was in the original version, but will also target medications covered by Medicaid and private insurance. The simple action they're taking is Trump is saying, hey, don't buy drugs from these companies. That's all he's really saying.

I think it's a good policy. It's not a price control. The left is lying. Let me explain it very simply. He's instructing HHS not to pay more than us. So basically, he's saying, OK, go talk to him. Negotiate prices down. That's it. If they don't, then tell him we won't pay him any more than what the cheapest rate is for whatever other nation.

Basically saying, hey, we're not going to buy from you. And that can be billions of dollars in revenue, not profit, but revenue for these companies. So they're going to probably want to take what they can get at this point. Government money is, you know, it's free for them, basically.

Weight loss drug expected to be targeted. The administration hasn't singled out a specific class of drugs, but officials said it was fair to expect that GLP-1s, a class of drug that includes Ozempic, Wagovi, and Zipound, will be included among them. Last month, the admin rejected a Biden era proposed for Medicaid to cover weight loss drugs. The move would have saved patients money, but cost the government $25 billion over 10 years. $2.5 billion a year. You could have just said that.

I do have this clip. I want to play this clip for you because Trump is he's so good. I mean, I'll tell you a story. A friend of mine who's a businessman, very, very, very top guy. Most of you would have heard of him. Very, very highly neurotic, brilliant businessman, seriously overweight. And he takes the fat, the fat shot drug. And he called me up and he said, hey,

President, he calls me -- he used to call me Donald. Now he calls me President. So that's nice respect. But he's a rough guy, smart guy. Very successful, very rich. I wouldn't even know how we would know this, but -- because he's got comments. "President, could I ask you a question?" "What?" "I'm in London, and I just paid for this damn fat drug I take." I said, "It's not working." He said,

He said, you can hear people. I just paid eighty eight dollars. It's not work. And in New York, I paid thirteen hundred dollars. What the hell is going on?

OK, I just got to stop. Trump is a funny guy. And that's how he squeaks it past you. OK, these aren't price controls. This is the government saying we're not going to spend money on these things. But hold on. We shouldn't be spending money on fat shots. We have a sick culture. Come on, guys. Go exercise. Lift some weights.

Get some cardio in there. Eat right. Sleep right. Do what you got to do. You feel great. You feel great. I truly feel bad for people who are unhealthy because when you wake up every day feeling just the way you feel, you don't know how good things could be. And that's that's it's crazy.

So, you know, my thing was like I've been on and on, on, on again and off again with bread, like this gluten thing. And what happens is I went keto after I got COVID and I dropped a ton of weight. I dropped like 40 pounds. Crazy. And that was probably bad because a lot of it was probably muscle, not all fat.

But and I probably wasn't eating enough, but I was exercising like crazy, like two to three hours of VO2. Like not not not kidding. OK, so like two to three hours of heavy cardio with like an hour of VO2 max. I was melting fat off my body. And then I decided I would slowly start rejuvenating some carbs. And so I started having bread, started having problems with joints. And I didn't know what it was. So when I keto again, I started to get better.

Didn't know what was causing it. Did like elimination diet thing. And so basically my point is bread was really messing me up and now I feel great. So I understand. I bring this up because sometimes there's diet things you don't know that are messing up and making it hard for you to do what you got to do to be healthy. That's why I really don't like when people are like calories in calories out. That's all that matters. I'm like, no, it's not.

If you're eating nothing but macaroni and cheese and getting like a thousand calories a day, you're going to struggle to wake up. You're going to be deficient and you need more than that. So they say calories in, calories out. No, no, no, no, no, no. You need the right diet.

foods, micro and macro nutrients so you can perform. Otherwise, you can't even burn fat. I'm going to say this. You know, like for me, one of the challenges, like I was eating all this bread, right? I wasn't eating a ton of bread, but I was having some and I was having joint pain. I think I've done a elimination diet back and forth. Seems to be a gluten thing. Maybe it's not. I don't know. But I stopped eating bread and I feel like a million bucks. So I'm done with it.

I was trying to work out, but I was having a lot of joint pain and muscle stiffness. And I was like, this is so hard. I was barely getting through an hour. And I'm like, I'm burning like six, 700 calories. When I used to do like, I used to do 1300 calories over two hours. I could barely get through an hour. There's a lot of people who are going through that. And that's why I don't like that. It's just, you know, colors and colors out.

The point I'm saying is we shouldn't be spending money on these shots. People need to figure out what they need. You got to eat right. Not the easiest thing in the world, but you can figure it out. I've been adding more fish to my diet as well. I've been trying to get as much sleep as I can. I was doing five years ago. I was sleeping for six hours a night, had no problems.

To be fair, I was overweight at that time, so maybe I did. But when I went keto, I was still sleeping about six hours and I was skating with no problem. To be fair, I lost a lot of weight. For the past several months, I've been sleeping about six, I'm sorry, about seven. And I think it wasn't enough. So I bumped those up, which is really difficult to do on my schedule. Basically, as soon as we wrap IRL, I am in bed and just like holding my eyes, like go to sleep, go to sleep.

Because normally I go to sleep around midnight, wake up at 7 o'clock. Now I've pushed to 730 and I'm trying to go to bed at about 1115 to try and get in at least eight hours. I feel a lot better. So I'm saying you got to figure out it's not easy. It's hard work. But I don't think we should be spending money on these fat drugs. Anyway, take a look at this. Sal, the agorist, says, remember when Republicans were afraid Kamala would do commie stuff like price controls? But when Trump does it, it's OK.

Yeah, guys, she was talking about grocery stores, saying that the cost of groceries was price gouging. That's what Kamala was calling for price controls on. When the margin of these grocery stores was like 1%. Nice try. You've got the Libertarian Party saying price controls, thumbs down. And you've got this post here. This is Donald Trump. Justin Amash saying, too long, didn't read. Trump supports economically foolish price controls for prescription drugs and pharmaceuticals and was signed an executive order to sidestep Congress and the Constitution again.

OK, like this is the important thing. Trump can't sign an executive order doing that. And it appears he is not. It appears and we'll see. I mean, the full language, the executive order. It appears what he's saying is RFK go negotiate down Medicare purchases. Government is spending money on Medicare and Medicaid to buy prescription drugs. Talk them down. We want cheaper prices on these drugs. OK, OK.

Yeah, that that he can do. And if they don't tell him we won't pay a penny more if they won't cooperate with us, we're going to drop down to the cheapest cost, the cheapest the country that pays the least pace. Yeah, OK, he can do all those things. It's it's a it's a great PR stunt. He's got Democrats, liberals attacking him. This is what the liberals don't get. They just these people don't understand it. All they had to do, all the liberals had to do was say about time Trump did the right thing. This is what we are for.

steal his thunder. Have one of your candidates, David Hogg, come out and say, I'm glad to see that Trump is making moves on this, but I don't think he's going to be successful because he's chaotic and he's nuts. We want this policy. It's good that Trump is trying to do it. I praise him for it. I don't think he can pull it off. We're going to find a candidate who can. That's the play you make. You know, but these people, no one ever accused him of being smart. So.

But we'll see how it plays out. We'll see how it plays out. I'll stress again, Trump doesn't have the authority to executive order price controls. That's it. I think the play is if Medicare and Medicaid are only paying, you know, like 30 bucks for some drug, it's going to force the market down in other areas. We'll see.

The Department of Homeland Security is threatening to arrest more Democrats after they stormed an ICE facility. And oh boy, this one's contentious. Let me just start off by saying, my friends, we are at a point in time where federally representative, I should say Democrats representing their districts to the federal government stormed

and attacked a federal facility and assaulted federal law enforcement. The mayor of Newark was arrested for trespassing. Liberals and Democrats are claiming this is Trump's Gestapo, masked armed men arresting politicians, their political rivals. You know, the problem I see largely with Republicans is that they're reactive.

Democrats are both reactive and proactive. They will arrest their political opponents. And then when Donald Trump or any other Republican tries to enforce the law, will also similarly claim they are being oppressed. Reminds me of Monty Python. Help, help. I'm being repressed. Sure. Well, this is where we're currently at. The DHS has released the guidelines for how you actually can go inside the facility. And guess what? 24 hour notice is required to enter a facility. But more importantly,

The Democrats are arguing that a scheduled visit. The question, that is, why were they not allowed into this ICE facility if that were true? OK, even if it was true, this was in the middle of a prisoner transport. You see how dangerous this could have gotten.

Democrats are playing a dangerous game, as they always have, because they are unscrupulous. They don't fear prison. And they and what I mean by that is not only do they not fear actually going to prison, they don't fear that they would go to prison for doing any of these things. Thus, the DHS is saying we're we're planning on arresting some of these people. Now, one of the Democrat reps who was on camera physically attacking law enforcement, it's crazy to say,

is arguing never happened. Never happened indeed. Well, the DHS has released the body camera footage showing, in fact, this Democrat rep was physically assaulting federal officers. Guess what? That is an eight year prison sentence. I don't think we put him in prison for eight years. I know as much as you have this liberal desire to put everybody in solitary for three years plus.

And then you have the response from the right side saying, sure, you go to jail, but not for two to three years in solitary, a couple of months for assaulting an officer. I feel similarly. These Democrats should get a couple of months in jail for assaulting officers. It's just that simple. So, my friends, we're going to go through this and break it all down. We've also got other information on where the Democratic Party thinks they're going. Oh, boy. President AOC and David Hogg appeared on Bill Maher's show.

saying that Democrats need to market, as it were, to young men who just want to party and get laid. Is that what he thinks needs to happen? Aye, aye, aye. They're lost, my friends. I want to give a shout out to

DHS spokesperson threatens arrest of House Democrats who were at NJ ICE facility.

Tricia McLaughlin accused members of Congress of assaulting and even body slamming ICE officers. A congresswoman who was present denied the allegation. Before I just read what they say, I want to show you actual footage DHS uploaded. The reason we call this information vaccination and what that means is for a lot of people, they'll read the news before they see the evidence and draw conclusions.

Then they say, I don't need to see the video. I already know what happened. The famous example is the very fine people hoax. Most liberals that are getting red pilled these days are saying, I genuinely thought Trump said Nazis were fine people. And then he turns out he didn't say that. Famously, Daniel Negrano, one of the poker greats, came on Timcast IRL and he said he had thought for like almost 10 years. You know, it's been eight years or whatever. Trump said this. I've seen it. I know.

Finally, one of his buddies in the poker world put the phone on the table, slid it to him and said, watch. And it goes fine. He press played. And what does Trump say? And I'm not talking about neo-Nazis or white nationalists because they should be condemned totally. You see, Daniel thought he already knew and he didn't need to see another video.

Let me play this video for you of what happened. You can see right here on the right side, the one in red. That is the that is one of the Democrat reps. And what do you get? There it is. She's literally shoving. Now, I want to make I want to make sure this is very clear for everybody.

She sometimes when you're in a crowd, someone pushes you and you'll fly into somebody else. It happens. That's not what's happening here. You can see the man behind her has his hands lightly on her shoulders. He's not holding her or pushing her. And watch what she does. She just shoved. That is assault on a federal officer. Look at this. Wow. It looks like you can see her hand. Yeah.

And she just strikes. Look at this. She punched that guy right there. Holy crap. Watch this. She just punched a guy. Yo, that's crazy. Democrat punches ICE officer. Right there. Let's play it again. Slow motion. Here she is in the red. It's kind of grainy. Here's the cop. She punches him. Right there. Boom. Punch to the back.

I think she should get locked up. I think she should absolutely get locked up. Now that we've seen the video footage and you saw her literally strike an officer several times, let me read what NBC News says. A spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security on Saturday suggested the Trump administration could pursue arrests of the House Democrats involved in an incident. An incident, not an insurrection. How strange.

at a New Jersey Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention facility on Friday and accused them of assaulting ICE officers. I think that we should let viewers know there will likely be more coming.

We actually have body camera footage of some of these members of Congress assaulting our ICE enforcement officers, including body slamming a female ICE officer, McLaughlin said. Now let's play what NBC shows. Tonight, a new showdown over immigration. The mayor of Newark arrested outside this ICE detention facility in New Jersey for alleged trespassing. After a protest also attended by three Democrats,

Democratic members of New Jersey's congressional delegation, LaMonica McGyver, Bonnie Watson Coleman, and Robert Menendez Jr. We were assaulted by multiple ICE agents. They bumped up in front of cameras. But the Trump administration says there was no assault, and the members of Congress stormed the facility and broke into it, a DHS spokesperson calling it a bizarre political stunt. Writing.

In a bizarre political stunt, as a bus of detainees entered the security gate at Delaney Hall Detention Center, a group of protesters, including two members of U.S. Congress, stormed the gate and broke into the detention facility. The members, Robert Menendez Jr. and Bonnie Watson Coleman, plus multiple protesters, holed up in a guard shack, the first security checkpoint. This illegal breaking and entering of a detention facility puts the safety of our law enforcement agents and the detainees at risk.

Members of Congress are not above the law and cannot illegally break into detention facilities. Had these members requested a tour, we would have facilitated a tour of the facility. This is an evolving situation. An illegal breaking and entering. Members of Congress also have to follow the law. For weeks, Democrats have slammed President Trump over deportations, arguing he's ignoring due process rights for undocumented immigrants.

Some Democratic members of Congress even traveling to El Salvador to meet Kilmar Abrego-Garcia, demanding the Trump administration return him to the U.S. after he was deported to a prison there. The administration says he's a gang member, which he denies.

The second we try to deport them, the radical Democrat Party is racing to the defense of some of the most violent savages on the face of the earth. The White House is now considering suspending the right to challenge a person's detention by the government. The Constitution is clear. The privilege of the writ of habeas corpus can be suspended in a time of invasion. So I would say that's an option we're actively looking at.

And Gabe, today a judge ordered the release of a Tufts University student who's been detained since March. Yes, Lester, and just breaking, Turkish student Rumeza Ozturk just walked out of a detention facility in Louisiana. The federal judge ruled her continued detention could potentially chill the speech of millions of non-citizens. The Trump administration has said student visas are a privilege, not a right. Indeed they are. And my friends, there you have it.

I want to show you the violent actions of that woman before showing you NBC. This is once again information vaccination. Now imagine how many of your family members, a liberal aunt or uncle or a grandparent perhaps only saw this. They saw the calm and peaceful woman standing there saying we were assaulted by them. They attacked us. OK.

Here you go. Here it is right here. And she's striking this guy closed fist, punching a federal officer. OK, this is what I deal with every day. And I know you guys do, too. There's video of it. We watched her do it. Now she should get arrested and go to jail. But here's what's going to happen. I got liberal friends. I really do. They message me. And no matter what I try to send them.

They refuse to believe it. And it's a really fascinating thing that I know, you know, you guys deal with this the exact same way that when when people truly just believe the corporate press, they believe lies. So here's where it gets fascinating. Here's a clip from CNN. Let's play it. See if we get this from rapid response. Reps Rep Bonnie and LaMonica claim nothing happened when they tried to storm the

the gates of an ICE facility attacking ICE officers. But there's no reason for it. Nothing happened other than the chaos that they created themselves. Anything we were pushed and shoved and found in a very vulnerable situation. I can respect CNN at least showing Rep. LaMonica shoving. What is it? Rep. LaMonica McIver. That's her shoving.

A federal law enforcement officer. But it's not going to reach people because they don't look at these things. Now, they claimed they had a right to be there. DHS says this. Here are the guidelines. They posted this. Members of Congress cannot break the law in the name of oversight. All members and staff need to comply with facility rules.

The legislative branch is not superior to the executive. If they want to issue a check, if they want to go into a facility, they need to do it formally. Here you go. Congressional staff must give 24 hours notice. Identification is mandatory. No recording devices. No campaigning. Security comes first. Detainee meetings require privacy waivers. No donations. Democrats often bring in supplies for photo ops. I says no to donations at detention centers.

Well, my friends, I give you this from Cornell Law. In general, whoever one forcibly assaults, resists, opposes, impedes, intimidates or interferes with any person designated in Section 1114 of this title while engaged in or on account of the performance of official duties or forcibly assaults or intimidates any person who formerly served as a person designated in 1114 on account of their duties or

Shall where the acts in violation of the section constitute only simple assault be fined under this title or in prison not more than one year or both. And where such acts involve physical contact with the victim of that assault or the intent to commit another felony be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than eight years or both. Looks like eight years it is. Now, look, I'll be honest with you guys. I think she should get two or three months.

That's normal. Look, I mean, she did hit a federal police officer. Maybe you get more than that, maybe six months to a year. I mean, assaulting an officer is a serious thing, right? Now, I'm not a fan of any feds, local police, sheriffs, any kind of law enforcement violating people's rights.

However, the reason this law exists is so that police know they can go out and there is a penalty for physical attacks upon them when they have to do a job and stop bad guys. So if they're in the middle of a criminal transport and the Democrats are obstructing a criminal transport, that's felony, trying to break into a federal facility,

Pretty sure that's a felony, too. And closed fist striking a federal officer. Oh, boy. Let's give him three counts of felony assault on an officer or obstruction, whatever you want to get him. Now, you may be asking, what is this section 114? Don't worry, we'll get technical on you.

Section 114, it's identifying individuals as any officer or employee of the United States or any agency in any branch of the U.S. government, including a member of the Uniformed Services, while such an officer or employee is engaged in or on account of performance official duties. That's why there's two provisions. One is if they're formerly, but you attacked them because of a job they did. So let's say you're an ICE agent, you retire, and then someone comes and kills you. You still get charged under the statute. Okay. Okay.

Now that I've shown you this woman closed fist striking a federal officer, let's peruse over our good friends at Reddit and see what they have to say about this. Newark mayor arrested by ICE agents at detention center. Here's the story from r slash news, a subreddit with millions of followers. Top comment. Witnesses said the arrest came after Barack attempted to join a scheduled tour of the facility with three members of New Jersey's congressional delegation.

When federal officials blocked his entry, a heated argument broke out. According to Viri Martinez, an activist, it continued even after Baraka returned to the public side of the gates. In the video of the altercation shared with the AP, a federal official in a jacket with the logo of Homeland Security Investigations can be heard telling Baraka he could not join a tour because you're not a Congress member. He then left the secure area, rejoining protesters on the public side of the gate.

Video showed him speaking to the gate to a man in a suit who informed him they're talking about coming back to arrest you. I'm not on their property. They can't come out on the street and arrest me. Minutes later, several ICE agents, some wearing face coverings, surrounded Baraka and others on the public side of the gate as protesters cried out shame. He was dragged back to the gate in handcuffs. Oh, my God. He was peacefully there just talking. And they oh, he physically attacked him.

Look at the response. Quote, you aren't allowed on our property. OK, I will stand out here. No, we are forcing onto our property with handcuffs now. Let's play that game again. Oh, here's them attacking federal law enforcement.

I'm not going to play the video 800,000 times. You get it. This guy was party to a riot that physically assaulted federal law enforcement to get into a facility. And it was during a criminal transport. The reason why I say and is because I don't want to actually play a stupid game where I think they were trying to free criminals. But you can understand why federal law enforcement is like, we don't want you coming in right now. We are we are we are in the middle of something serious. That's why he got arrested. Oh, boy. Moderate politics. Oh, moderate, you say over on Reddit.

Democratic members, Congress members storm ICE facility gates, clash with federal officials. The top one says, I'd like to see a video of this alleged storming. According to this article, Congress members were there for a scheduled visit, which he tried to join. OK, I've shown you the video like five times, like literally closed fist punching a Fed. I would constitute a storming of the video. The incident is provided in the article showing the protest group physically forcing their way past the facility gate.

assaulting ICE agents to do so. Another video. And the response is in this clip, they're inside the gate and tell him to step out. This is before he was arrested. I'd like to know what was happening prior to the video because he was already getting arrested at that point. Moderate politics. Homeland Security subpoenas California's immigrant assistance program. It latest crackdown on illegal immigration. OK, we're getting some movement here. DHS ain't sitting around and doing just nothing.

We've got several moves to be made, my friends, as we as we round out, figure out how to solve for this problem. Democrats can't be allowed to just storm facilities. Democrats can't be allowed in California to break the law, to cheat elections. And that's what they do. That's what they do. How do they do it?

By declaring themselves a sanctuary state and letting illegal immigrants in, they bolster their residency numbers. So when the census happens, they have more congressional districts because the census counts all people, not citizens. It includes illegal immigrants. Democrats then get an extra, some estimate upwards of 11 congressional seats. That's right. Some say they may have close to seven to eight million illegal immigrants in the state. I think it's a little high. I think it's fair to say maybe five or six congressional seats. That means...

Republicans, American citizens have to overcome five or six extra votes from California in Congress to pass laws that benefit the American people. They are cheating. And this is what DHS needs to stop. I will say this. Do all the cheating you want. I'm not sure AOC is going to win. Look at this from The Wall Street Journal.

AOC isn't ruling anything out, including the White House. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's rise to prominence worries some Democrats who say the base is taking the wrong lesson from the 2024 election. AOC, please, please run. If this is the direction they think is going to get them into the White House, please do it. AOC represents a tiny fraction of fringe far left. Now, she's got a little bit of X factor, but she can't win. Look, I hate to say it.

I hate to say it, but Hillary Clinton, you know, she she actually had something. Not enough of whatever it is actually kind of small amount. But that that X factor, you know, Donald Trump's got it in spades. Ten out of ten. Everybody knows people won't shut up about him. Liberals just scream Trump from the high heavens 24 seven. They love talking about the guy. Hillary Clinton had a little bit of that. You know what I mean? Like.

There's something grandiose about certain figures and Hillary Clinton has it, but she sucks. So even though people did look at her as a powerful figure, that's kind of what I mean. They despised her. People despise Trump, but in a different way. And some people really do just despise him and he's disgusting. But more people like and are willing to have a leader Trump than a Hillary Clinton. AOC doesn't even have what Hillary Clinton has. She is young, mature.

And look, I want to make sure I caveat this with I don't mean this as an insult or disrespectfully. She is short, young and has a high pitched voice. These things are all major negatives in elections and marketing in general. That's a fact.

When these consultants come out and say, you need to have a certain kind of shoe that's expensive, but not too expensive so that you don't look like a rich elitist, but you also don't look like a slob. They plan for all these things, the color of the suit, the color of the tie, the way your hair is, all of these things scripted down to the tiniest of detail. Why? When you are negotiating with a single person, it doesn't really matter.

Because you can convince a single person if you're dedicated to that person. So AOC can go to a single person and she can convince them to vote for her. However, when you're dealing with, I don't know what, 250 million people who are going to vote, maybe 200 or 180. Let's just bring the number way down. A tiny fraction, tiny, tiny fraction, let's say 1% of 180 million. Yeah, that 1.8 million votes you lose will cost you the election.

So when the consultants come there and say, you cannot afford to lose a half point, you got to put your hair down and do it like this. She will not be able to overcome the natural biases that people have with her being short, young, with a high-pitched voice. Now, some people have said Margaret Thatcher was powerful. She won. It's a parliamentary system. The party won. They choose their leader. They call her the Iron Woman. It's different.

I think AOC or any woman who runs is going to have a big challenge, and AOC is particularly bad. If you got like a six foot five tall woman with a naturally deeper voice but talked firmly and sternly, maybe she could actually win. But I do believe that there's going to be a natural bias against women. That is to say, I agree with the left on the inherent sexism people have.

There is a lot more to break down. I got I got to make sure that I. Well, we also have this AOC roasted by her own constituents. But I got to throw it to my good friend, David Hogg. David Hogg appeared on Real Time with Bill Maher. And he said Democrats have abandoned men who just want to get laid and have fun. OK, there's Donna Brazile. I'm going to say this. David Hogg, a young man, is trying to convince the Democratic Party to change their tune by going on Bill Maher's show.

Bill Maher gets around 40,000 viewers in the key demo. Now, don't get me wrong. Older voters are a powerhouse. But are they really going to matter in 2028? You're pandering to people who, again, with all due respect, are nearing life expectancy, meaning every single day these people are dying and new Gen Z are entering. So I'm not going to tell David Hogg he did anything wrong by going on Bill Maher.

My point is a lot of the pandering that we see and the politicking happens on shows young people do not watch. Now, I will give a shout out to Tara Palmieri, who hosted David Carville. I'm sorry, James Carville and David Hogg, David Hogg and Carville.

And, man, they went at each other. And Carville called them names and said, we're going to win elections. David was right. He was like, what's your plan to fix this favorability gap? He goes, you can't win elections if everybody hates you, dude. But that being said, all of those shows, these shows they're doing, okay, good luck preaching to the older crowd. They may help you out in 2028 for sure, but not 2032. Okay? You're in the wrong place for this. Bill Maher's show just doesn't get those numbers.

Now, Greg Abbott says all construction has been halted and we're getting reports the DOJ will be investigating this. Now, there are some challenges here. One, I think just because a bunch of Muslims want to start a community doesn't mean they should be halted or investigated by the DOJ. But maybe there is evidence they intend to violate civil rights in which there are some deep concerns about religious entrenchment extremism in Texas. Here's a story from Newsweek.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott said the state has stopped all construction on Epic City, a proposed Muslim-themed development backed by the East Plano Islamic Center. Epic officials have repeatedly denied claims the town would violate state law or operate under Islamic legal systems. Despite that, the project is under scrutiny from multiple agencies, with Abbott saying the development faces a half-dozen investigations.

They say the development proposal dubbed Epic City covers 402 acres in Collin and Hunt counties. It has drawn backlash from Texas officials, including Abbott and Attorney General Ken Paxton, who have accused organizers of potential legal violations. Abbott previously wrote in March that, quote, legislators are considering laws to restrict it, as well as laws to prevent foreign adversaries from buying land in Texas.

On Sunday, Abbott said that his office has suspended the construction of Epic City, which gets its name from the acronym East Plano Islamic Center. Interesting.

The governor wrote on X, formerly Twitter, Texas has halted any construction of Epic City. There was no construction taking place. The state of Texas has launched about half a dozen investigations into this project. That includes criminal investigations. And the U.S. DOJ is also investigating this matter. And similar matters are taken very seriously. And actions are being taken to address all concerns.

Epic City was planned to include over 1,000 homes, a mosque, a faith-based school, and a community college. The project is led by community capital partners created by Epic to manage the development. Organizers say the community will fully comply with state and federal laws and deny any intent to establish Sharia law, contrary to Abbott's public statements. In February, Abbott posted Sharia law is not allowed in Texas.

In March, Texas authorities sent a cease and desist letter to Epic demanding it stop funeral services, citing a lack of licensing. Paxton's office also issued a civil investigative demand to community capital partners. Last Friday, Texas Senator John Cornyn said the Department of Justice had responded to his call to investigate potential religious discrimination at Epic City. Quote,

I am grateful to Attorney General Bondi and the Department of Justice for hearing my concerns and opening an investigation into the proposed epic city development in North Texas. Religious discrimination and Sharia law have no place in the Lone Star State. Any violation of federal law must be swiftly prosecuted. And I know under the Trump administration, they will be. Mustafa Carol.

Executive director of the Texas chapter of the Council on American Islamic Relations told Newsweek Texas Governor Abbott and Attorney General Ken Paxton have chosen to abuse their power by launching groundless investigations against Epic. I'm going to pause right there. If they're already holding funeral services without licensing. Yeah, I think you've got probable cause of some kind of religious action taking place. I do think there will be a legal challenge in shutting down construction just because you fear they may at some point.

enact Islamic Sharia law, which, interestingly, can be implemented outside any legal framework so long as it is underneath the U.S. code of law. So they can all agree to behave certain ways. We can't do anything about it. They say instead of acting like true public servants and leaders, they have chosen to add fuel to the fire by disseminating hateful misinformation. In a Facebook post, the East Plano Islamic Center said,

We are regularly receiving hate calls and death threats. Our mosque leaders' personal home addresses have been shared, jeopardizing the safety of families. The Epic City proposal remains in its early phases, and no formal planning application has yet been submitted. It is unclear how the investigation's cease and desist actions mounting political opposition will impact the project's future.

We also have this from the post-millennial DOJ to investigate 400 acre Muslim town in Texas over claims it would operate on Islamic law. Again, you can't just investigate that they may do something in the future. They're calling it John Cornyn said it was anti-Semitic and anti-Christian. The DOJ has launched an investigation into the proposed epic city development in Josephine, Texas. They say the move follows concerns raised by Senator John Cornyn, who has labeled the development anti-Semitic and anti-Christian.

I am grateful to Attorney General Pam Bondi, the Department of Justice, for hearing my concerns, Cornyn said. This we already read. Epic City is planned to include housing school. This we know. Attorney Dan Cogdell, representing Epic City, pushed back against the accusation, saying from day one, their intention was to comply completely and wholeheartedly with the law.

And they've just been vilified, assailed and attacked. What is crazy to me is how far we haven't come since 9-11. The words mosque, Islam, Muslim in the year of our Lord 2025 are still such a triggering event. I'm going to pause and just say that was an offensive statement in the year of our Lord 2025. I see what you're doing there, buddy.

Cornyn had formally requested a DOJ investigation on April 11th, writing to the Civil Rights Division and claiming the development constituted an exclusive religious settlement governed by Islamic principles. His request drew criticism from Muslim advocacy groups. Excuse me. The Council on American Islamic Relations sent a letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi arguing that Cornyn's claims were false and that Muslim-led developments must be treated equally under the law. Indeed. I'm going to go and tell you.

In my view, this multicultural society that the Democrats cheered for, don't even take my opinion for it. Rep Ro Khanna, the pro-immigration, pro-illegal immigrant Democrat said it doesn't work. He said we thought it was going to uplift the working class and the middle class, and it didn't. Indeed, whether or not this community is going to be operating under Sharia law, they want to. It's their law. It's their rules. It's their religion. Of course they want to.

So the issue you will get is that whether intentionally by construct or inadvertently by culture, these rules will be enforced. That's a fact. Now, we are constrained by the Constitution and the right for these people to practice whatever religion they want. Now, let's put it this way. Let's say that a group of people there say no one's allowed to, I don't know, eat food that's not halal. That's not illegal. They will just culturally decide they're not going to eat non-halal food. That was always allowed.

So the challenge we are facing right now as a nation is, well, I'll put it this way. The founding fathers could not have and did not expect what we are witnessing today. They couldn't predict the speed at which information will travel, the speed at which human beings could travel. And though they did understand societies evolve, and they did say, some of them, not all of them, that this Constitution is for a deeply moral and religious people,

They couldn't have expected the rapid shift this country would endure. Now, interestingly and famously, Thomas Jefferson, they say he was a deist. He wasn't a Christian. He allowed Christian practices in Congress. He said, as long as it's not exclusive and discriminatory, it's not in violation of the law. Like, this is the problem that we are facing right now in this country that I think a lot of liberals don't understand. You are allowed to have prayer in schools. You just have to allow all of it.

That's the issue. So if there is a school that says we want the Ten Commandments up, that is not against the law. You just have to also have literally any other commandment anyone else wants, any other tenet or ethos or whatever it may be from any other religion. And you are allowed to restrict based on space.

The liberals try to claim you can never have anything religious in these schools, but that's an impossibility because religion is a nebulous concept as it is. What constitutes a religion changes from person to person. And everybody has some degree of ideological faith in certain concepts and ideas simply because an individual believes that the son of God died for them.

Now, the moral tenets of the commandments can't be displayed. OK, what if someone said, I'm going to make the 10, let's call it the 10 standards of gold. Honor your parents. How about be obedient and respectful of your parents? We'll just change it all slightly. And we'll say it's not religious. These are just moral precepts that we think lead to a good society.

That's why the Democrats complained or liberals did about creationism. They said this is just creationism is a way to argue the Bible in schools. It's not science. But why would we determine that one faith based structure is better than another? This is what people need to understand about this country, about our government and our politics, and ultimately what will end up happening with this town. What will a moral society tolerate?

The end result of what the Constitution allows won't bar these people from slowly building up a Muslim town with Sharia law. So long as they're not policing it under color of U.S. law, they're going to be allowed to do it. Let me put it this way. If you and your buddies agree not to eat any, I don't know, dairy for a week and whoever loses got to pay 10 bucks.

And then your buddy's walking around trying to make sure that he's policing your food, but he's not locking you in jail. It's not under color of law. You can do that. That's how they're going to play it. Now, I'm not a fan of this. I think this will lead to conflict and crisis. It's going to lead to people fighting and it will start to it will eventually become codified while they'll initially start not as under color of law. I believe it will eventually evolve into that.

This is going to be a challenge for us. Indeed it shall. I'm going to wrap it up there, my friends. Stay tuned. TimCast IRL coming up next. Follow me on X and Instagram at TimCast, and we'll see you all in the next segment.
