Right now, I believe the percent contained of the Palisades fire or the general wildfire, 14%. And there's a new forecast. They're calling a red flag warning. It's going to get worse. The winds are going to pick up again. And despite the tremendous efforts by volunteers, by firefighters, by law enforcement and everybody in Southern California,

The expectation is that this is going to get worse. The death toll is already at 24, expected to get worse. Hundreds of thousands have been evacuated. This is your latest update on this, guys. And we are now hearing the new estimates for economic damage. AccuWeather is forecasting $250 billion in damage. I've got the AirNow government map on this fire chart.

My friends and it's the fire has wiped out entire neighborhoods. And this is just an overlay map of, you know, Altadena and the Palisades. But you can see just grid neighborhoods gone, just completely gone. And so I hope everybody takes this seriously. I know it's it's shocking and terrifying, but I got to say it. I have to say it again and again. This is a failure of leadership.

Now, in California, the narrative they're running with is that you can't stop the winds and fires happen. They're trying to blame climate change. That is wrong. I got a source for you. But we know this. The majority of fires are started by people.

And you get these large, let's put it this way. You take a look at San Francisco and when California drops their threshold for shoplifting, remember what it used to be? If you shoplift, you got arrested and they raised it saying only things above 900 or whatever number it was. Well, of course, people started robbing these stores, right?

And I understand the mentality behind we can't deal with shoplifting. I mean, let's let's be honest. You've got murders, theft, kidnappings. And then you get a phone call and someone says, yeah, they stole twenty dollars worth of hair product. The cops are going to be like, yeah, we're not going to do anything about that. So what happens? People do it more.

That's the idea where the idea of broken windows policing came in, that if you go after the smallest crimes, it stops the crimes that move on above it. I don't know that it's completely correct, but what I can say is what we see now in general is that you get so many people in an area with a decaying culture and you get fire. Homeless people across this country report after report after report setting fires, not because they want to burn things down or hurt people.

because they're trying to stay warm. There was one story I pulled up last week. Homeless people were in a building, cold in the winter, created a fire in the building to keep themselves warm, and they burned the whole building down. It's cultural decay, my friends. But the problem that I see is when we can look at this and we can discern rather simply that you have individuals starting the fires,

Many of these progressives in California choose instead to say climate change, which means we will never solve this problem. If they want to blame the fact that the wind happens or sure, the temperatures are going up. You can't do anything about that. Sure, if you want to talk about reducing carbon emissions and playing that environmental game,

Even if that would solve the problem, you're talking about 30-year mitigation plans. When we can look at the cause of this fire now and is largely believed to have been burning embers from a party. But how do we solve this problem when people want to just believe that

These ridiculous stories. And this is the issue of left versus right, my friends. The left largely says all of humanity must change their behavior so that in 30 years the fires stop. And the right is saying, I don't know, how about you just stop that guy from lighting a fire? Sure, both can be important things to do. But right now, the fires we're looking at are a combination of recklessness, failed reservoirs, a lack of firefighters, a lack of supplies. Oh, boy.

Jimmy Kimmel cried and criticized Donald Trump. We're going to get into that one and go into the politics in a later segment. I know because I get wrapped up in that stuff, but that'll be over at YouTube dot com slash Timcast later as we go down how they've been attacking Trump over this and what's really going on. But let's talk about the fire and the information that you need about what's currently going on.

Before we get started, my friends, let's keep the show going. Castbrew.com. Go to castbrew.com and buy Cast Brew Coffee. It's our company. We sponsor ourselves. Ian's Graphene Dream. This guy's crazy. He sold over 1,000 bags in a week and a half. People really love Ian's Coffee. But we also, my friends, if you go down to all the coffee, Focus with Mr. Bocas.

We've sold about 100 of these so far. We got to get on the front page because everybody's been asking for it's our espresso blend. And while I will say we sponsor ourselves, we've we've the show has never taken money from the coffee. The coffee plan, all the money we made from it is to open these locations, create physical spaces. And and that's what we're using that money for.

What I can tell you right now is over 100 Casper location requests for our franchise have been submitted. So good news all around. Head over to Tim cast dot com. Click. Join us to become a member.

Your membership is basically, look, you get access to the Discord server, to our members-only uncensored content. We were hanging out with Jack Posobiec last night. But it largely just is, do you believe in what we do? Do you want us to do more? Do you think this company should exist? The Washington Post, despite losing 90% of their audience, still pulled in $174 million. So we can gloat about beating the mainstream media and being the new media, but we're still lagging behind and they will strike back. But let's start with the news here.

Daily Mail reporting terror as L.A. hit by unprecedented new warning amid fears 70 mile an hour winds could trigger a gigantic new inferno. Let me pull up the current air now map for you guys. And we have here for those that are listening, I'll just describe it.

It is insane. The spread of the Palisades fire continues. It is not contained. And we can see here right now, this is a dark canyon near Montenito, just north of Malibu, in the Malibu area. And the fire is spreading very, very close. I mean, for anybody who's ever been there, for anybody who knows this, it's shocking and terrifying.

Then, of course, we can see here it's stretching almost to the homes in the valley. Now, of course, like it absolutely has burned down many of these residential areas just completely wiped out in the in the Palisades neighbor. I mean, look at this. Absolutely devastating. And you can see that the fire is spreading into residential areas. These are embers when the wind blows.

carries the embers that land, and you might not notice that tiny little speck on a roof. And then 20, 30 minutes later, there's a fire. And if you don't catch it and it grows, you're not putting it out. So we can see here, it's the fire, you know, getting close to the Encino Reservoir.

Uh, man, best. I hope and I pray for all of the people who are in these areas. I have friends who live up in these areas. It's, it's, it's terrifying. And then of course you have the Alta Dina fire and this, this is insane. This entire residential block at the base of the, uh, the mountain here, it's just gone.

And the fire is, of course, spreading into these residential areas. It's terrifying. Right here, we can see the fire encroaching on the jet propulsion laboratories. It's this area right here. So very worrying. But let me pull up the latest update here. The Daily Mail says...

Fire ravaged L.A. has been just placed under an unprecedented wind warning amid fear 70 mile an hour gusts could trigger a new inferno. And in fact, my friends, it did. Now, the good news is what they're calling the auto fire has been contained. This is a fire broke out in Ventura County on Monday near the Santa Clara River. It was called the auto fire. But the latest update is that it has been contained. Take a look at this. This is crazy.

Fifty five acres and they were able to stop it. So very incredible work on the part of the firefighters getting in for these new fires, getting in early and stopping them before they spread the issue with the Palisades fire. The Hearst fire, the fires that they're so large, it's exponentially growing and the amount of mitigation just doesn't reach that number. So there's we have the Wikipedia page here for the Palisades fire. You know, we love Wikipedia. You know, we love them.

But we can take a look right now. The latest update is as of 6 a.m. yesterday, only 14% has been contained. Now that's an increase from 11. But this is, it's growing exponentially. Over 5,000 structures have been destroyed as of right now. And once again, with this red flag warning of increased wins, I don't know how they stop it. I don't. And we heard from Joe Rogan last week.

I'm sorry, not last week, but months ago, the video went viral last week when he was saying he talked to a firefighter who said the winds are going to come in and it's going to burn L.A. to the ground. You know, Gavin Newsom doesn't want to take responsibility for the drained reservoirs, for failing to build new reservoirs. He's blaming the locals. But here we go now. OK, so the update here is actually over 12000 buildings have been destroyed.

The National Weather Service issued a fourth particularly dangerous situation warning to take effect 4 a.m. Tuesday, cautioning that winds of up to 70 miles an hour will last through noon Wednesday. Holy crap, man. No rain in sight. No rain in sight. Huge swaths of bone dry city are under the new warning from Ventura across much of San Fernando Valley, while areas from San Diego to San Bernardino remain under conventional red flag warnings.

The fourth warning comes after the previous three this fire season brought havoc to the densely populated area. Meteorologists warn that unseasonable drought-like conditions have turned the city into potential kindling as high winds set in. The last significant rainfall in downtown LA came in May 2024. And since October, just 0.16 inches of rain has fallen.

compared to the historical average of 5.34 inches by this time. So, drought. Climatologist Bill Patzert told the outlet that the past nine months has been one of the driest in the historical record going back to 1900. During my career, I've never seen punishing Santa Ana events so overwhelm the normal winter rain season. For those that don't know,

LA doesn't really have a winter. It is funny though. I lived in LA for a little bit and one of my friends, you know, who lived there her whole life was like, no, it does get cold in LA. And I was like, really? She's like, yeah, it drops down to like high fifties. And I busted out laughing. And I was just like, God, lady, high fifties is t-shirt and shorts for us in the Midwest. You kidding me? It was kind of cute. Yeah. It gets cold here. It's high fifties. I was like, oh, okay. We don't even turn our heat on when it's high fifties. Just put a sweater on. Come on.

But winter in L.A. is called the rainy season. And so come fall time, it's very humid and there's fog and it rains. And that's that's typical for a lot of these these areas of this climate. They call it the rainy season. It's supposed to be raining right now. And it's not. My friends understand we are in the dead of winter and L.A. is on fire. Now, of course, they're going to say this proves climate change. It literally doesn't because drought in a desert.

I mean, these things happen. L.A. is a desert. It doesn't rain that much. It's dry often. And you can't say simply because weather happens that climate happens. And this is this is the thing that, you know, AOC got in trouble for because she's in D.C. And the storm alarms go off because there was a tornado warning. And she puts out this video where she's like, there's a tornado warning in D.C. This is climate change. And people like, no, this is weather.

The fact that the sirens exist proves that for a long time, decades, we've known tornadoes can happen in Washington, D.C. Thank you, bye. But this is what they're going to do. They're going to politicize it and weaponize it, when in reality...

The politics here, the issue is that they should have been prepared for this, because let me tell you, even if it was climate change, you mean to tell me that y'all in California have been screaming about climate change for 27 years or however many years and you did not prepare for this. I mean, that just sounds like it's your fault. If you want to say people should drive less people, you know, the carbon emissions are causing these erratic weather patterns.

Okay, well, what did you do to prepare to mitigate the damages from this? Nothing. So how does that make sense? They go around screaming and preaching and demanding money. They tax you. They tax your gas. And what do they do with the money? Do they fill the reservoirs? Do they build new reservoirs? Do they hire new firefighters? Nope.

So explain to me in any regard why I should trust you when you say you want to tax us and regulate us over climate change. You couldn't even put a fire out and you claimed you knew it was coming and you're claiming now this is exactly what you've been warning about. I say just this to all the progressives saying we've been warning about climate change. I'm like, oh, OK, well, regardless, you do nothing to mitigate it. So how about we just forget all your regulations and policies didn't work.

You did nothing. They're going to mention in the Daily Mail article, in each of the three previous instances of particularly dangerous situation fire warnings being issued, the resulting blazes brought devastation. The first in November, the mountain fire in Ventura County burned almost 20,000 acres and raised 240 buildings. The next month, the Franklin fire hit Malibu, destroying 20 buildings, much less than we're seeing now, my friends.

According to the L.A. Times, the particularly dangerous situation alert was traditionally only used by the National Weather Service for particularly devastating tornadoes. Did you guys see the fire tornado video? No joke. There's a video of a fire tornado. That's terrifying, man. Well, here's here's where it gets crazy. Donald Trump's got his work cut out for him with California, but you got to bring California to heel.

AccuWeather estimates more than $250 billion in damages and economic loss from the LA wildfires. Holy crap, man. To put the magnitude of loss into context, this latest damage and economic loss estimate surpasses the numbers for the entire 2020 wildfire season. They were putting it at $150 billion just the other day, calling it the most expensive in history. Now they're saying it could be upwards of $275,000, in fact. AccuWeather says...

As the fires continue to rage across SoCal and the scope of catastrophic damage, loss of life, business disruption, and other economic impacts become clear, AccuWeather has updated and increased its preliminary estimate of the total damage and economic loss between $250 and $275 billion. These fast-moving, wind-driven infernos have created one of the costliest wildfire disasters in modern U.S. history. Hurricane-force winds sent flames ripping through neighborhoods filled with multi-million-dollar homes.

The devastation left behind is heartbreaking, and the economic toll is staggering. Take a look at these images. It's heartbreaking stuff. Wow, man. You know, a lot of these people, they're not rich. There are a lot of people who are wealthy up there, but not everybody. Some of these neighborhoods, man, are working class, middle class. Some people, geez. And some of these are big mansions, don't get me wrong. There's a lot of rich people in the Palisades. It's a beautiful place to be. That's brutal. I mean, you know, I look at this pool right here, and I'm just thinking like,

What if you had a pump? I just, that's the thought. And you were pumping this water at a low amount and spraying your house to keep it wet. Could that have saved it? I don't know. I don't know, man. I do remember seeing this story about a guy who put sprinklers on the top of his house. And then when the wildfire hit, they turned on like normal fire suppression and his house did not burn down. I don't know what that story was. It's been a long time. These photos are heartbreaking, man. Look, disasters happen.

If Donald Trump is going to come in and provide any kind of relief, the reality is there's got to be stipulations. California must be brought to heel. Their policies have failed. They did not do their jobs. And if the rest of this country is going to foot the bill to try and help them out, and I think we should, it comes with stipulations. I put it this way. You got a friend. He's out of work and he needs a place to sleep. You say, okay.

You can crash at my place, but you've got to be looking for work. And if at any point I feel like you're not, you're out. Dude says, you got it, buddy. Crashing on the couch every day, putting on a nice pair of clothes, some slacks and says, I'm gonna go find a job for you, man. And he comes back every day and you, how are things going? And you're nice to him. And you're like, dude, I know you're trying your best. Maybe it takes him a couple of weeks.

Eventually he says, I got a job, bro. I'm going to need a couple months to save up, but I'm working at the supermarket over here, assistant manager job. Let me save up and get my own place. And you say, sounds good. You know that you're helping him out, but he's trying. But what happens if two months goes by, no job, he's filthy, he's not even looking? Get out. Sorry, man. We help those who help themselves. And in this instance, California has failed miserably. So I say we come in, we help.

But you've got to address the underlying issues. Take a look at this story. PJ Media reports, follow the science. 95% of California's wildfires are started by people, not global warming. If we are going to solve for this problem, we have to be sure it doesn't happen again. It's that simple. And that means if we provide relief to California, and again, we should, we have to know that the problems that caused the fires will be solved again.

Otherwise, we foot the bill again. And I'm not okay with that. To be fair, I'm much happier giving California money for this than Ukraine or Israel or Taiwan, whatever. Sudan. But yo, people are starting these fires. They've arrested now two suspected arsonists, 73 people. The reports are that cartel gangs are starting fires to force evacuations so that these people can go and loot properties.

Nah, man, not okay. California is becoming a rogue state and New York's a rogue state for a different reason. The federal government should come in, but they've got to assume control in some, some degree, heavy stipulations. The people of California want to keep voting for the likes of Newsom or whatever. Fine. But I tell you, my friends, I feel like this is going to keep happening because they refuse to acknowledge their faults in this.

They're posting, you know, there's that video I mentioned the other day where it shows the trees blowing in the high winds with embers spraying. And their response is, how do you fight this? Can a MAGA please explain to me? And I'm like, my dude, you put water on it. The wind doesn't, you could spray the thing with water. The wind isn't going to stop that. They're trying to make excuses saying there's nothing we could have done. Okay, well, I'll tell you this. If there's nothing you can done, why should we give you money? Now, I do respect they're making these arrests. I appreciate law enforcement trying.

But there is a top-down problem of governance in this state. So please be safe, everybody. They say it's going to get worse. Expect it. This is why I shout out safeandreadymeals.com when I do. Haven't in a while. But because you never know when you're going to need food, water, first aid, whatever. I'll wrap it there. Smash the like button. Share the show with everyone you know. Become a member over at timcast.com. Stay tuned. We got more segments coming up. And we'll see you all then.

So the National Guard was deployed to LA and it is to help deal with some of the fire, but it's largely because of the looting and the arson. And you know why this is so, I don't know what the right word is, right? Schadenfreude comes to mind, but I really feel bad about it. Guys, I really feel bad. And that's the thing about you and me and all of us. We are not hate-filled people.

I look at the suffering in California and it terrifies me. I got friends in L.A., as I've mentioned over and over again, who are hippy dippy liberal lefty types. And it really annoys the hell out of me because I'm like, I've called them on the phone like, dude, you know me like, listen, please. And we argue, but it's OK. We're friends because we're not insane people.

So I do get scared. I don't want my friends to get hurt. You know, the way I described it last week was I know some people who live up in these hills who like I take a bullet for them. I've known these people my whole life. They're some of my best friends. I'm a little older now. It's like we hang out all the time, but we do see each other from time to time and they're good people. And that's why, you know, I do feel bad over what's happening. But again, I got to say schadenfreude a little bit.

The looting and the arson. You see, during the BLM riots, these people were cheering it on. Not really my friends. No, no, I want to clarify. I don't know I could be friends with somebody who was cheering on violence and destruction. I'm just saying, like, I've known people since I was 18 who live in these areas, and we hung out a lot, and they're good to me to this day.

They've never defended the riots, the violent and the arson because, you know, but they've but they've still pushed the pride and the left and Democrat and all that stuff. But I'm a sane person, you know, so I'm not going to disown a friend over this. And they are, too, because we still hang out. And I do think it's largely these kinds of people which converts, you know, they wake up and they say, maybe I was wrong about that because they're not completely unreasonable and they're the ones suffering that I'm really worried about.

But as for these activists who cheered this on, they're now getting a taste of their own medicine. And while I still feel bad, part of me has to admit schadenfreude, you know? Gavin Newsom's deployed an additional 1,000 National Guard. And it is largely because of the looting. Deadline reported, Newsom sends more National Guard personnel to L.A. to halt looters' fires. Update. Well...

I got to throw it to our good friend Adam Carolla, who lives in this area. I believe he lives in Southern California. He's always been a good dude. He's always said what needed to be said. I tremendously respect this man. Grew up listening to him. Here he is to this day, making this point oh so well. So the National Guard has pulled in. And the National Guard has pulled in because there have been lots of stories about lots of looting because we live...

In Sodom and Gomorrah times here in Los Angeles. I'm losing my voice. We are so bad that after we mismanaged the fires, then all the human beings that are criminals that are running around the streets who are tired of doing street takeovers and tired of pulling copper wiring out of streetlights,

now have mobilized, and they're tired of looting the CVS and the drugstores and the Gucci purse shop and everything else. They're bored. They've now taken to looting because people are being removed from their parking lots, or I should say being removed from their neighborhoods and transported places. And so the neighborhoods are empty, and now the looters have moved in. So we've called the National Guard.

And the fine people of Santa Monica and Malibu and the Palisades are very happy that the National Guard is now here protecting their homes and their valuables and their property and stopping arsonists who are copycat arsonists who are starting and trying to light more fires and being successful. So...

The people of Santa Monica, people of Palisades, people of Malibu are happy to see the National Guard. But when BLM was burning everything to the fucking ground in Seattle and in Chicago and in Portland, you pussies were against the National Guard being called in because it wasn't your shit that was on fire and it wasn't your store that was being looted and it wasn't your house that was being looted. That was somebody else's.

So during the entire BLM riots, when everything was being burnt in the ground, well, those were just business owners who may have lived in the Portland area. So they can fuck off because you're too busy virtue signaling and taking a stand. And God forbid Trump suggests that the National Guard be called into these cities. You were dead set against it, citizens of Santa Monica, because you're so much better than we are. But now that it's your shit that's getting looted...

Well, now you're happy to see the boys in uniforms that are cordoned off your neighborhood with your precious shit in it that you don't want to see stolen or burned to the ground. You didn't give a fuck when this was going on in every blue city in the United States. You were all against it. Well, now it's your city and you love it.

So think about that, you fucking hypocrites. Yeah, there's a story that I'm trying to find that I couldn't find the image of, but it's funny. It goes way back to riots in 2020, where as these people were tearing through downtown L.A., this guy on Twitter is like, yes, burn it all. And then like an hour later, he tweets, wait, why are they coming to Beverly Hills? No, wait, don't. Then the next tweet is him like they're climbing the walls. Make them stop. Oh, no, don't come to my house.

Yeah, Adam Crowland nails it. A little more fervor than me, but I think that's the reality of what we get, right? These people in LA have to deal with what they have promoted. Take a look at this from Colin Rugg. LA County District Attorney revealed that an Emmy Award was stolen. Seriously? I don't know if this clip is a little too long to just go through the whole thing, but they reported that law enforcement is swarming the areas impacted by fires to enforce zero tolerance policies against looters and arsonists.

One of the people who was caught in these areas was on active parole and had concealed a handgun. These are not great people that are being arrested here. These are people who are seeking to take advantage, adding insult to the worst injuries. And you know what I got to say? Jimmy Kimmel and Joy Reid and all these other people have the nerve to insult us and Donald Trump.

We're sitting over here minding our own business and we got choice words for you. That's it. That was always allowed. OK, if I want to criticize your policy and say that you failed your state, why you why? OK, strike back, criticize me. But you got gangs starting fires. You've got homeless starting fires. You've got rioters and looters. I only got a few words for all of you in the progressive left. Looting is what is it? It's it's it's revolutionary.

The act of looting is defiance against the machine. Isn't that what they said? Let me pull that one up for you. We'll get that one for you guys. Don't worry. In defense of looting. What a famous story. Famous, famous story. Oh, there's so many options. Here we go. I'll just pull up the Wikipedia entry for it. I was at Ferguson and I watched people rampage, smash buildings and steal stuff. And it was sad because the locals were begging for help.

The locals didn't like the looting. The locals said, you're destroying our community. Please stop. These people are coming from outside. But what happened? Vicky Osterweil wrote a book in defense of looting, denouncing nonviolent resistance, arguing that when violence is pushed as philosophical, moral and religious principle, it gains a nasty authoritarian edge. The article that was written was basically saying that the oppressed of Ferguson were fighting back

The looting was them saying to the ruling class, it's our turn now, which is a lie. That's not what was happening. Young men were linking arms to protect their businesses from outside forces that wanted to steal stuff to quote unquote come up. That's what it's called. It's called coming up. I came up on something. It means they stole it. But this article turned into a book.

Here we go. In August of 2020, Bret Stephens for The New York Times wrote, And defensive looting is not an interesting book. It speaks for almost nobody beyond the fringe left, and certainly not for looters who hadn't thought about cis-heteropatriarchalism. Cis-heteronormative patriarchy, they call it.

In a review by Graham Wood, a staff writer for The Atlantic, called the book the pinnacle of looting apologia, saying if the real lasting change you wish to affect is burning society to cinders and crippling for a generation its ability to serve its poorest citizens, then I suppose I'm forced to agree. Well, I'll throw it to Adam Carolla, who nailed it. He lives here, right? He gets it. These people have been claiming that rioting and looting and arson and all of these things are good.

Until it hits their neighborhoods. So here's the question I have for all of you. Will California turn red because of this? Honestly, I don't know. I don't think so. California used to be. But the problem of policy extends beyond just whether there's homeless people, fires, riots, looting, arson, etc. It extends into the procedural element of voting itself. So I wonder, even if the overwhelming sentiment of California is that we need change,

Unfortunately, they're going to vote for another Democrat. That's what they do. You know, in New York, with all the problems they were facing, they said, let's vote for a different Democrat. That's the game they play. If one Democrat does a bad job, we vote the other Democrat. And they're all part of the same party with the same ethos, following the same rulebook, and they'll get exactly the same thing.

I'll wrap it up there, my friends. We got more segments coming up. Next one will be at 1. Don't miss it. Smash the like button. Share the show with everyone you know. Buy Casper Coffee. Become a member at TimCast.com. And we will see you all in the next segment.

I like this Pete Hegseth guy. I think he's pretty good. I look forward to giving him a chance and seeing how these things play out. He's currently undergoing his Senate confirmation hearing. And in it, a contentious circumstance. Women in combat. I'm not going to waste time. I'm going to come out and say it simply.

women should not be in combat roles. I think women should be in the military. I think women can be in the military. I think that women can be in support roles. And I do think that there's combat adjacent roles women can be in. I'm referring specifically to on the ground with weapons. I would largely say no to women in combat. I know there's some exceptions. Absolutely. So I'm not an absolutist on these things, but, um,

The gist of the story, Elizabeth Warren is coming down hard on Hegseth, saying, you've been saying for 12 years women should not be in combat. Hegseth is saying it's about standards. And I agree. So let me let me try and suss this out.

largely the issue is standards. There should be a requirement for how many pushups, how far you can run, what you can carry. And there are some women who can accomplish this. So I actually don't completely disagree with Pete Hegseth, but I think he's navigating this difficult political space and trying to convey these ideas without being accused of simply being sexist.

So Pete Hegseth for the longest time was saying no women in combat. Now he's saying he would support the continuation of women in combat so long as the standards remain high. I agree. So let's break this down. What it means to say we don't want women in combat. Now there is a concern that apparently Hegseth said something to the effect of men get distracted. Look, if you've got a six foot three woman who can carry, who can run, who can do everything a man can,

I think you're going to need some discipline there. Guys, you can't simply be like, she's a woman, I'm distracted. I don't see that as an excuse. However, that is a very, very rare exception. So I think the way you break this down, before we just jump into the story, is on average, women should not be in combat. There are exceptions, so it should be standards-based. Pete Hegseth is correct on that. Let me read the news and show you where we're currently at.

Hegseth tells Ernst he would support women in combat roles. A lot of conservatives are going to come out and say, nope, no women, never, none. Me? I'll tell you this. I think let the Democrats lead the charge on this one. Have what Hegseth should say when Elizabeth Warren, she comes out, she's got this list of questions, right? A hundred questions she wants Hegseth to answer. She was going after him largely on, you've been saying no women in combat. Here's what I'd say. I'd say,

Thank you for the question, Senator. As to the issue of women in combat, just to clarify, would you support women signing up for selective service? Let her answer that question. And she said, it's my time. I get to answer the questions. And I'd say, I'm trying to understand your question about my views. And, you know, I've made several statements about women in combat roles and standards. Can you just clarify for me? Do you want women?

females in this country, 18 and up, to sign up for the Selective Service, for the draft. Let Democrats say it, baby, because they do. Fastest way to get women to start voting Republican is for them to be like, I ain't going to war. It's laughable to me that they're going after Hegseth on this question of women in combat roles when women don't want to be in combat roles for the most part. And if women can be in combat, ladies, I hope you're ready to get drafted because that's going to happen. Right now, we're standing on the barrel of World War III.

Maybe you think Donald Trump's the cause of it. I don't. I think Trump is the solution to the escalating tensions. But sure, many Democrats made the argument that Donald Trump is going to push World War Three. OK, so right now, how do y'all ladies appreciate these Democrat ladies saying y'all should be in combat roles? Because the moment Pete Hagseth said, yes, women, I will support you in combat.

That means Democrats have opened the door for you to be drafted. That's right, ladies. We're going to strap up, put you on the ground, get you in the boots, hand you a gun and go fight the bad guys. How does that sound? I'm for it. Let's go. You know why? Because it'll never happen. Every single one of these ladies would vote Republican in two seconds if they actually had to sign up for selective service. And then the Republicans are going to say a woman's role is not in combat. You want to play this game more? And I say, let's play game of chicken.

Granted, look, who am I? If I was sitting for a Senate confirmation hearing, I'd be a little bit more rambunctious. Maybe that's why I would never get confirmed and why I'd never be in government. I'd say Elizabeth Warren...

Yeah, I don't want to see you're correct, Senator. I do not want to see women drafted and then put in these combat roles. And and the support for women in combat ultimately means women will be drafted. And my daughter and their daughters and these young women, even these protesters, will face a draft where they will find themselves being forced to fight a war they don't want. So I say no. That's the standard.

Now, for me to choose. OK, well, therein lies the challenge, right? Let me read this quote. Two hours in, Joni Ernst asked and Hegseth said, quote, Yes, women will have access to ground combat roles given the standards remain high and we will have a review to ensure the standards have not been eroded in any one of these cases. Hegseth told Ernst, who noted that the pair discussed the issue intensively during their multiple private meetings. That'll be part of.

One of the first things we do at the Pentagon is reviewing that in a gender neutral way, the standards of readiness and meritocracy is front and center. But absolutely, it would be the privilege of a lifetime if confirmed to be the secretary of defense for all men and women in uniform who fight so heroically. They have so many other options. They decide to put their right hand up for our country. It would be an honor to have the chance to lead them.

It hasn't made us, uh, Hegseth said in early November before he was tapped for the role, women shouldn't be in combat. But again, let's clarify. Hegseth is speaking generally, not absolutely. The average woman, what does she weigh? Well, actually let's do this. Let's do this because it's like really bad. Okay. What is the height and weight of the average U.S. woman? Ladies and gentlemen, you're not going to like the answer.

5'4". Oh my God. 170 pounds? Lord, help this nation. I just looked it up. I thought it was like 120. I was going to say 120. Holy crap. Link me that. ChatGPT, you best not be lying. Link me that source. Holy crap. This is... Oh my God. I didn't even know this.

Oh, my God, dude. Hegseth, lean into this. Say, with all due respect, Senator Warren, the average woman's height is 63.5 inches and her weight in pounds is 170. I do not think it appropriate to put women at the same standard of men, which means they would be drafted into combat. The average waist is

38 inches. Look at men. 69 inches, weight in pounds, 199. This country is sick. Wow. I had no idea it was that bad. I mean, I should have because we talked about it quite a bit. But you want to play that game, Democrats? Let's play that game. You think these chubby ladies want to entertain the possibility of being drafted? The moment we get approval, and I think we're there.

Like, I think women are in combat now. Democrats have already tried to have women be drafted. So look, I like this Pete Exav guy. And I got questions, but let's not play this stupid smear game. It's really annoying when Democrats are like, you have these accusations made against you.

I wouldn't play the game like Pete. It's probably why I'd never get in because I just be like, yeah, it's not true. I get it. You're you know, with all due respect, Senator, if you want to rant on camera to look good for your constituents, you can fundraise. Go go for it. But I'll just turn my mic off because I don't need to be involved. Better yet. Here's what I'd say. Senator Warren, I'd like you to grandstand while you do. Let me just give you a hand right here. Let me just give you a hand.

For those that are just listening, I put on these glasses with fake eyes. That's my new pitch. Any liberal who comes on my show, if you begin grandstanding, I'm going to put on these glasses that have fake eyes on them and I'm going to go to sleep. And that's where we're going to take the wind out of your sails, buddy. That's what I show up to the here. Could you imagine someone show up to a hearing for secretary of defense and being like, let me insult you to your face. I would. That's just me. And that's why I never want to have anything to do with government.

You know, look, man, on the outside, I can say and do a lot of things you can't do on the inside. And I've got, I know some of these guys who are staring this stuff down. And let me just say this, without naming anybody or any of these men and women, truth is, they're restricted on how they do PR, you know? Hag Seth was saying these things because he didn't know he was going to get asked to do this job. And now he is. And now he's saying, you know, look, we're going to do the job. That means women can be in combat. Well, he's got legal requirements now. But you know, he doesn't like it.

Man, I didn't realize women were so fat. Like, guys are fat too, don't get me wrong. America, you need to start walking. Walking is the start of the process. But look, I'll wrap it up. Democrats want women in combat. That means women get drafted. See how many votes Republicans get in 2026 when Democrats push that. Next segment's coming up in, what are we looking at? 3 p.m. Thanks for hanging out. We'll see y'all then.

Donald Trump has announced the external revenue service for his tariffs and collections of revenue on foreign sources. And I am all here for it, baby. Now, I don't know. I don't know. It's tough, right? Because I know the libertarians are going to be like, Tim, he's creating another government department. Don't trust it. And I'm like, fair point.

Look, I love tariffs. I love me some tariffs. I hate free trade agreements. And we'll talk all about that. We actually have a debate coming up next week where we're going to break it all down.

But, yeah, I do have concerns that creating a new government department to tax people is not going to work out the way we hope it will. You know, the income tax was originally supposed to be, what, like 3% on only the wealthiest individuals. And now everybody gives a third or more of their income to the government. To be fair, when you include sales tax, income tax, property tax, the average person's paying more than 50% of their income in taxes. It's like...

Like, I work for a living. I got to pay taxes. I get that money. The government takes them. I then go to the grocery store to buy food. Government takes them. I then have to buy gas for my car. Government takes them. I then go to my house where I get a bill in the mail for my taxes and the government takes more. I can't even live on a piece of land with the government walking up and saying, you got to pay me every year. Actually, it's quarterly installments. Gimme, gimme, gimme.

So part of me says, I don't know that we need another one of these, but I'm a fan of tariffs. And if Donald Trump moves in a tariff direction away from a taxing the US people direction, like we do, you know, Trump's saying, get rid of the income tax and do tariffs only. I don't know that in the economic sense, it's going to work out the same way. Not that I think income tax works out benefit, like greatly for us, it's a screwed up system. But the idea, the issue around tariffs is,

is not to me an economic question. It's a cultural question. But let's read the news first. Here we go from Reuters. Trump says he will create the external revenue service to collect revenue from foreign sources. U.S. President-elect Donald Trump says tariffs, duties, and all revenue through soft and pathetically weak trade agreements, the American economy has delivered growth and prosperity to the world while taxing ourselves. It's time for that to change.

We'll begin charging those that make money off us with trade and they will start paying finally their fair share here, here. Trump has pledged to impose big tariffs on our three largest partners, Canada, Mexico and China, including a 25 percent tariff on imports from Canada and Mexico until they clamp down on drugs and migrants crossing the border.

He has also vowed to impose tariffs on 10% of global imports into the U.S., along with a 60% tariff on Chinese goods. Duties that trade experts say would upend trade flows don't know, don't care. Well, Mexico's responding. The Mexican president saying she might avoid those day one tariffs. Well, you can try your best, lady. But that basically means when Donald Trump says no more illegal immigrants, otherwise we do the tariffs. How do you avoid them? Well, uh.

You do what Trump says, if you know what I'm saying. Let me tell you about tariffs, my friends. Let me tell you about free trade. So we're doing this debate show. We're going to have Brad Palumbo, Libertarian guy, and Elijah Schaefer. And the reason why it's Elijah Schaefer, and it might be two on one, so it might be fair for Brad to have somebody else, but...

The reason is because Brad entertained free trade as an economic question. This is why I am not a libertarian. It is why I largely don't agree with the Libertarian Party, though we are friends because we agree on a lot of things. And that's good enough for me because I'm all about coalition building, right? Libertarians view trade and immigration as a numbers game. They don't care about money.

pancakes for breakfast. They don't care about going to a baseball game, having a slice of warm apple pie. They don't care about Christmas morning. They don't care about Pizza Hut and the book at personal pizza I got when I was a kid. Now look, man, I know times change. The pizza thing's largely fun and funny. It's nostalgic.

But when you look at McDonald's, when you look at Pizza Hut, you wonder why it is how they became sterile, brutalist mall stores. McDonald's used to have a play place. I'll tell a story that I've told before. So bear with me. But but let me say this. I periodically have to add this. A lot of people are like, Tim, I watch every one of your videos and sometimes you repeat stories because the average person watches out of 22 seconds. What do we do?

We do five, six, ten, like 11 segments per day. And the average person watches three. So here's the deal, now that you know that. For the context of this, back in the day, people started selling skateboards. And in order to promote the skateboards, they sponsored skateboarders, went to public parks, and had big events.

families would come down. They'd see a flyer at the grocery store, at the butcher shop, at the dairy, like whatever, because there was all these different stores for all these different products. And it would say, this Sunday, skateboards. And they'd say to their kids, like, why don't we go take a look at that? They'd show up, and there would be the guys who make the skateboards, owner of the company, and a few sponsored skateboarders. And they'd put on a show and get kids interested. Little kids would start buying skateboard products because the business wanted to sell the product.

Little kids would get good at skateboarding. Skateboarding industry expands. With more skateboarders, there's more influence, more interest. Video games, movies, man, it all happened. And then comes the free trade. See, in the early days, you'd have a shop. You'd have five guys making skateboards. They had kids. They'd come home and say, take a look at this sample. The kids would skate. The dads would skate. The friends and family would come by the house and see the skateboards. That was culture building.

It built awareness. It created an anchor in the mind of the people about what this sport and this pastime was. And then something happened. Company pops up and says to some venture capitalists, guys, with these new free trade agreements with China, we can get skateboards made for a dollar. So we don't need to hire five guys at home anymore. We can hire 15 Chinese guys for the same rate. What happens? The local skateboard shop can't compete with the prices.

The big guys extract the value. They send wood from North America to China for slave labor and sent back. What happens? There's no more workers who have kids. Less kids are skateboarding. Less kids are buying product. Now, let's say you have 100 kids who skate. As they get older, they will stop skating. The dad says, you know, hey, look, son, here's a skateboard I made at my shop today. That's one kid skating.

The big company comes in and says there's 100 skateboarding kids. We can sell our boards $5 cheaper and make $10 more profit with Chinese slave labor. So they do. Those kids start buying product X from China. The local shop can't compete and goes out of business. There's no more dads showing their kids skateboards. There's no more local events to promote skateboarding. So what happens? Ten years later,

There's 50 skateboarders. And that skateboard shop who has been selling to China goes, sales are down. What do we do? Over a long enough period of time, this guts the culture, destroys it. And that is the problem of free trade. So these libertarians come out and they say, but the numbers are good. Yeah, the numbers on corn and avocados. But what about the things I care about? What are the things that I love about this country? What about the communities and the culture?

It's unquantifiable, as Sam Hyde pointed out. So, my friends, these Democrats, these libertarian types, not all libertarians, but many of them, and the neocons, when they say free trade means 3% growth year over year, they're telling you we will destroy everything you love, all of your memories, the places you cared about, and we will do it because it'll make us more money.

What the hell do I care about money for if I can't buy the things I love? If I can't buy skateboards? If I can't go to a skate park? It's not just skateboarding. It's everything. Why do I care that I can buy a bigger house when it's in a garbage-stained neighborhood with crime and violence everywhere?

Where can you see RVs from 10 different dealers and over 40 manufacturers all in one place? At the 36th Annual Manufacturers RV Show, January 24th through February 2nd at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton. There's over 500 RVs, including motorhomes, travel trailers, van conversions, fifth wheels, toy haulers, and truck campers. If you are thinking of buying an RV, then don't miss the Manufacturers RV Show.

This is what they propose. Everyone makes more money. Yeah. And our culture burns down because of it. I would rather be poor and hanging out with my friends and skateboarding and eating apple pie than be rich and being the king of ashes. For I believe it was the quote from Sun Tzu.

That evil men will burn down their countries to rule over the ashes. Not me. It's not the world I want to live in. So bring on the ERS, Trump. I'm worried. More government power and taxation and all that stuff. But I've seen what we've gotten from these neocon policies and these libertarian policies. I've seen how it's gutted and destroyed the industries and the cultures that I care about. So how about we say no to that? We push back. We stand up.

And we actually bring about cultural changes that will reinvigorate this country and make it a better place. Let's roll, baby. I'll leave it there. I got one more segment coming up at 6 p.m. Thanks for hanging out. We'll see you all then.

Well, as the story goes, my friends, several black men were at a Starbucks hanging out waiting for a drink or waiting for someone. I don't think they ordered anything. And Starbucks employees were like, hey, you got to go. And they said, we ain't going nowhere. And I said, well, you can't be here. And they said, what you going to do about it? They said, we're going to call the cops. The cops showed up and said, gentlemen, you need to leave. And they went, OK. And it created this huge controversy.

where they were like, Starbucks is racist for kicking out black men. So Starbucks, being the pathetic, frail, and weak company that they are, comes out and says, from now on, literally anybody can use the bathroom. I guess it was like they were waiting for someone at the bathroom or something. It's been a long time. Anyway, Starbucks decides, it used to be, it'd be a customer to use a bathroom.

And I just want to stress this right now. As they say that they're reversing this open bathroom policy. Yo, I literally went to Starbucks in Chicago three weeks ago and you need a code for the bathroom. You got it on the receipt. So whatever. I guess franchise locations, I guess, if they have franchises, are different. Anyway, let's get real. Do you know what happens when you tell the whole world anybody can use their bathroom whenever you want?

homeless people and drug addicts will use it because it's now a public space. But Starbucks has changed their mind. Here we go. Fox Business reports they're putting a kibosh on its open door policy and will now only welcome paying customers in a letter directed to store managers in the above, which the company provided to Fox. Starbucks executive vice president and president of Starbucks North America, Sarah Trilling, noted, we're establishing a new code of conduct that will be displayed in every store.

It's common practice and it makes clear that our spaces, including our cafes, patios and restrooms, are for use by paying customers and our partners. You know what this is, my friends? This is what I would call winning. Winning. With the popular vote. This is what I was telling y'all we needed. Donald Trump didn't need to just win. He needed to win the popular vote. So a message would be sent to course correct the psychotic behavior. Let me be nice to Starbucks. They're a publicly traded company.

And the public doesn't like they follow the whims of the narrative machine. So actually, I'm pretty sure Starbucks is publicly traded. Let me just make sure I'm right, because if I'm let me just do a do a quick check here and look up Starbucks because I'm pretty sure. Yeah, as Spock's, I thought that's what they're symbol as a publicly traded company. They have to abide by regulations and restrictions and they have to make money for the shareholders.

So if the public is outraged or they believe it is, they're going to flow in that direction. As a publicly traded company and not unlike many others, they're now moving in a direction against wokeness because they can see what the public actually wants and they don't want to be on the wrong side of history. And they don't want to be in violation of the law because they got to make money for their shareholders. They're going to say, let's read this. The rules largely mirror the standards contained in the 2020 post on Starbucks website.

titled Use of Third Place Policy, which indicated that sleeping, smoking, drinking alcohol, drugs, improper use of restrooms is not permitted. Obscene, harassing, abusive language, hate speech, slurs, gestures, actions are unacceptable. We want everyone to feel welcome and comfortable in our stores. Implementing a coffeehouse code of conduct is something most retailers already have. It's a practical step that helps us prioritize our paying customers, blah, blah, blah. You get the point. But then, what happened? Well,

Let me pull this up. Let's pull up the origin of the story. Three black guys got arrested. It's 2018. Look at this. Really? Was it that long ago? Take a look at this story. Black men arrested at Philadelphia Starbucks reach agreements. It's 2018. I didn't realize it was so long ago. They say, this is from 2018, by the way, two African-American men. Like, dude, come on. It's two black guys. Like, it's not disparaging to call them some black guys. You know what I mean? Like, I got no beef.

But I love how African-American. That's the weird PC stuff, dude. You can call me mixed. You can call me whatever. Tim's a mixed guy. How dare you? I am biracial. Shut up, dude. Call me whatever you want. You can call me Susan if it makes you happy. Anyway, so this is 2018. They got an agreement with Starbucks and they've pledged $200,000 in an effort to encourage young entrepreneurs trying to buy their way out of this.

The two men will give input to former U.S. Attorney Eric Holder, working with Starbucks on its diversity efforts. My, how things have changed. The men will work with the city and blah, blah, blah. You get the point. Nature is healing. That's where we're at right now. People are starting to drop the DEI policies. It still exists. But now, let me find the open bathroom policy. Now,

With Donald Trump's victory, things are reverting back to the way they once were. So let me see if I can pull up the archive on this. The original story going way back. It's hard to actually. Here we go. Oh, man, you'll love it. You'll love to see it. For six years, Starbucks was burning cash. Forbes writes Starbucks open bathroom policy comes with heavy cost. Study finds. Excuse me as I lose my voice. More than five years old. They've known this.

Monthly visits to Starbucks dropped 6.8%. Wow. According to the study. And they knew it. Let's zoom out a little bit. They say they dropped 6.8% with other nearby coffee shops after the open bathroom policy was put in place.

May of 2018, according to a joint study released Tuesday by academics from the Business School of the University of Texas at Dallas and Boston College. The study conducted in collaboration with the data company Safegraph examines aggregate and anonymous cell phone location data for more than 10 million devices, covering nearly 10,800 stores. The decline in visits is large and significant. Starbucks disagreed, saying as evidenced by our earnings report, customers are visiting in record numbers.

You know that was a lie. Because now they're reversing course. It's not just about whether or not people come to your store. It's about the fact that your stores were disgusting. Dude. Going to the bathroom and seeing the mess from homeless people showering in the bathroom. It's not really showering. But they go in, take all their clothes off, wipe themselves down and clean themselves. And look, I get it, man. You got nowhere to go. You got nowhere to shower. Starbucks says we're open. You do. But me?

Yo, I'm going to Starbucks because I like to get, I love their blonde roast. Their coffee kind of sucks. Dude, Starbucks, they burn their coffee. What is the deal with that, man? I don't know. I don't get it. But, you know, I go to Starbucks and I like to get heavy cream in my coffee. You know what I mean? So I say, give me a little extra cream in that coffee. And then while I'm waiting, I want to go to Batroom. But then I go to Batroom and it's a disgusting mess.

And that's what they said we should live in. Remember that lady who wrote that thesis for a PhD about how it's racist to be upset about people smelling bad? Dude, I don't want to live in your scummy, stinky world. It's not racist. White people can smell bad, okay? Have you ever been to a Magic the Gathering tournament? I'll show you a whole room full of stinky, fat white people. Now, I love you, Magic players. You can see my Magic cards behind me right there. I'm a true OG.

I'm allowed to criticize you. Bro, I go to a Magic the Gathering tournament and half the people are morbidly obese and they smell bad. And everyone tells them, this is really funny, you go to these card shops, the owners, the other players are like, dude, there's no excuse. What is up with these Magic the Gathering players? I'm just, I'm going off on a tangent. The point is, it's not racist to say, don't smell bad. Clean yourself. Take responsibility for your hygiene.

But for some reason, when it came to Starbucks and these stupid policies, they were like, it's racist not to let anybody use the bathroom. And then this lady gets a PhD in the oppression of smelly people in fictional literature. I kid you not. It's like not only are you complaining about the smells, but it's not even in real life. Sure enough. Then when someone complained about stinky people on a subway, this lady chimes in like, see, it's racist to be upset about the stinky subway people.

Dude, no. There's white homeless people too. But as I said, my friends, nature is healing. Starbucks is abandoning these policies. This is, it's all part of like the Bud Light effect, the Target effect. We call it the Bud Light effect. Woke is broke and people are waking up. What we want to do, clean up our culture, bring good jobs.

Make money for our businesses. Have a cup of coffee without having to smell disgusting people. Hey, I get it. We want to help the homeless. But a lot of these people are homeless by choice. So what are we going to do about it? We are going to reverse these policies. We are going to arrest people who break the law. We are going to clean up our streets. And I hope Donald Trump comes in and gets a job done.

I'm losing my voice, so I'm keeping the segments short. Yeah, it sucks. It is what it is. I was sick last week, and here we are. So smash that like button. Share the show. Next segment's coming up. IRL tonight, 8 p.m. Timcast IRL. Check it out. We'll see you all then.
