The finale was originally one episode but was over 200 pages long, making it too lengthy to be a single episode.
The episodes were divisive, with some viewers finding them filler and others appreciating the additional character development and new information.
The car chase was a significant action set piece that many viewers found intense and exciting, garnering a lot of positive comments.
Finding and manipulating sound effects to make the car chase sound realistic was challenging and time-consuming.
The episode required careful consideration of continuity and how much information to reveal about Amber's past and her job, taking about three months to write.
They work on other projects or shows if a voice actor is unavailable, rather than waiting or recasting the role.
They aim to make Season 4 the last season, possibly splitting it into five episodes, and plan to release a Gene-centric prequel on Patreon.
Bodega Bay is mentioned in multiple shows and is associated with Alfred Hitchcock's 'The Birds,' adding a layer of cultural reference and continuity.
They look for specific voice characteristics and often tailor characters to the voice actors they have available, sometimes changing character traits based on the actor's voice.
They recommend sending a voice demo and being prepared with recording equipment and a quiet space, as this helps streamline the casting process.

Season 3 Recap
Hello everyone and welcome to the Tower 4 Season 3 Recap Episode. My name is Robert M. Lamb and with me, as always, Jack Austin. Hello everyone. And Gina Coyle.
Hello. And you might know them as Jack and Amber. Not Jack. Mike and Amber. I already messed it up. But I do know you as Jack. Yes, you do. I'm typically Michael in the show. Yes, Mike and Amber. And we're here to do a recap of season three.
And as you guys know, because I'm sure you've listened to the other recaps, we do an actual recap for the first 15 to 20 minutes. We're going to go through the entire season three as kind of a summary. We're going to read through it. If you just finished Tower 4 recently and you already know everything that's going on, you don't need a refresher, then you can skip ahead. And also...
from this moment on there's going to be spoilers so make sure that you have listened to all of season three and seasons one and two because there will be a ton of spoilers in this recap uh not only in the summary but as we talk about it later on afterwards so uh yeah i guess you ready jack i'm gonna start it off i'm gonna start it off but yeah this is the fun part um
All right. So Tower Four, season three. Here we go. Go. Oh, God. Season three begins with a prologue that follows Dr. Damon Caldwell and a man named Miles Easton. Not much is known about these two people, except that they are working on a project that may end due to some board members pulling funding due to a leak.
Dr. Caldwell thinks he may be able to change their minds once he presents his data. But two hours later, he finds that Miles was right. Miles takes him out for a drink where he tells him about an outside source that is willing to fund the project. Dr. Caldwell is intrigued and asked what the name of the company is. And Mike Miles says Iris. The actual first episode of season three cuts back to present day where Amber reiterates to Mike that the dead man before them is not Jerry. Not Jerry is what they decide to refer to him as NJ for short.
Amber wants to call the police and Mike agrees but asks her to keep his involvement quiet. But before Amber can call Jean, Mike faints, the exhaustion of the last few days catching up to him. Mike wakes up hours later in a tent that Amber erected while he was out. She's been waiting by his side the whole time. She doesn't call Jean and report the body until Mike awakens. She gives Jean only some details. He tells her to go back to her tower and that he'll call the authorities.
Mike follows Amber back to her tower but doesn't trust that it's not bugged so he waits downstairs while she gets some coffee and banana chips. They end up sitting by a fire pit and Mike tells her everything he's been through in excruciating detail only leaving out a few things basically for himself. Gene eventually calls and says that the police are at the ranger station and they'll be flying out shortly.
He tells her that the man is probably someone who got shot by a couple of hog hunters filling her in on a police report filed not long ago. But obviously Mike doesn't believe it. Mike wants to talk to the police himself and ends up heading back to the body there. He waits until the helicopter and police show up, except the police don't come from the helicopter. They come from other trails. Also, they aren't police. Mike recognizes one as Kyle and boost and books it. The mysterious men give chase.
Back at the tower, Jean confronts Amber about Mike. She reluctantly admits Mike was at the tower. That's page one of... There's just 20 pages. No, I'm kidding. It's not 20. But it's a lot. Here we go. Page two. This is when we cut back to the first day again. But instead of following Mike, we follow Amber. Amber chats with Jean about the new hire. And both are wary about...
another Jerry situation in which he became a little stir crazy. After a full day of hiking, Mike eventually makes it to the tower and has a chat with Amber after she calls. They do their introductions where Amber keeps notes before Mike eventually goes back to sleep. Amber's introduction was filled with a few fibs here and there just for fun. After their chat, Amber calls Jean and tells him she feels Mike has a better head on his shoulders
than Jerry or even Sam, the Tower 4 occupant before Jerry. She then goes to sleep. Days pass as we get to see Mike and Amber Bond from Amber's perspective. At times she takes notes in her journal about the things Mike mentions. One thing definitely piques her interest, he mentions whispers.
They continue to talk each day about his writing, about birdwatching, and about keeping stock. Most nights, Amber calls Gene to inform him of the chats and day's events. One night, Amber calls Gene to tell him that Mike heard classical music over the radio, but Gene chalks it up to Mike having an episode. Amber is concerned, and Gene says he'll run it by the higher-ups. Amber is to keep talking to Mike to keep him calm.
The next day, Jean has a mission for Mike and that is to explore Site 5. While he does, Amber contacts Jean and questions the classical music and whether it could be fed to him. She also reports to Jean that Mike found tents but no people. She also mentions the eye carving. Jean becomes awkward and tells her the secret code for which she's supposed to head to Brighton Rock, a secret spot where she can get signal from or sell signal and call Jean by phone.
The next morning, she heads there and talks to Gene, who is parked off the highway. He informs her that the company has been coming down on him hard recently and that she needs to just do her job. He also mentions the eye carving is a logo for the company. He gets a little jealous. She calls Mike Mikey. They chat a bit more before Gene says, I love you, and Amber returns it with a, I love you too. Gene and Amber are romantically involved. Okay.
Things continue to be told through Amber's point of view. She has more chats with Mike, takes more notes, and works on a large puzzle. One day, Jean calls and asks Amber if she likes Mike. She's taken aback and tries to answer, but Jean retracts his question, realizing he shouldn't have asked it over the radio. When Amber learns of the missing father and son, she informs Mike about Enos Lake. When she loses contact with him, she contacts Jean. Jean tells her the company has people looking into it,
He tells her to stay in her tower and not to interact with anyone. But that night when it storms, Amber runs into a strange man outside her tower. He is injured. So she lets him in. The man wraps his head and talks with Amber a bit. He doesn't say much, but she knows he's a company man. Once he's done with his bandage, he takes off the next morning. Amber goes to Brighton rock to tell Jean about her interaction with the company man. Amber has more questions for Jean, but he tells her she's reading too much into things.
When she gets back to the tower, she takes a nap and waits for Mike's return. When she's able to reach Mike again, she finds herself frustrated with the job and throws her notebook across the table.
Mike eventually becomes angry with Amber because she doesn't believe him about anything. She starts feeling bad. Mike ignores her for a while and at one point she tries talking to Vic, another tower lookout, but he's short with her. She ends up drinking away her sorrows with some vodka she brought and brings it halfway down Wind Walk where she puts it in a cache.
She gets a flashback to the moment she met Jean where her and her friend are working for a dog rescue. Back to the present and it's the next night, Amber has a hangover and after a
Yeah, I think that's right.
They have a little back and forth before Mike says he wants to quit. When Amber informs Jean about the news, Jean is mad that she brought vodka with her. They argue with Jean calling Mike crazy, which Amber denies. We get a couple more flashbacks with Amber. One,
Which is the night amber finally left gene after she caught him cheating again and another where she runs into gene Years later at a jazz club with her friend ace ace leaves and amber and gene chat about life after their relationship. This is when Gene mentions he's a ranger now back to the present and amber and Mike have a little chat after his rough night He mentions that he's deciding to stay Amber's glad
One night, Amber calls Gene to ask him if there was an ulterior motive to Gene asking her to work for him. He denies it, but she's not sure. Gene doesn't want to talk about friendship or relationship stuff over the radio. We then hard cut to the day Mike and Amber met. Gene grills Amber on what Mike was doing at the tower. And by the way, Mike and Amber met
In person, Jean grills Amber on what Mike was doing at the tower and what they talked about. She comes clean about Mike discovering the body, and Jean admits there are some company guys here with the police, although Jean isn't telling the truth about everything because Amber sees his right eye twitch ever so slightly, which is a tell. At one point, after Jean and Amber go outside her tower to chat, Jean leaves to talk to the police.
in quotations. Amber hears movement in the woods and is unsure if it's Mike. Jean comes back and tells her to pack her things after finding out that Mike attacked some of the men. When she goes back in her tower, she bumps into Emil, who is the man who visited her that one stormy night. He leaves her a clue under her puzzle, which is on the ground. The police trashed her place. On a piece of NOPA paper, she finds, don't trust him.
Again, that's what he wrote down and a phone number. She reads this in the outhouse downstairs after lying to Jean about having to use the restroom. She's to meet Jean at the helicopter to leave the woods, but on her way to the field, Mike grabs her. He tells her they aren't cops. Mike believes he can't trust Amber, so he runs off. Amber has another flashback of her time with another cheater named Trevor, the architect.
She remembers the day she left him. When we come back to the present, Amber hears Jean searching for her. She has a choice, go with Jean or go with Mike. She chooses Mike. She runs through the woods searching for Mike. At one point, she runs after hearing movement around her. She ends up getting hit over the back of the head with a rock by one of the company men who was posing as a police officer. The man named Arlo, aware of his mistake, calls another man over the radio about the situation. He's told to take care of her.
So he aims his gun at her head and we hear a bang, but she's not dead. It's Arlo who is shot.
By Mike. This is when we shift point of view to Mike and find that he had another run-in with an Iris employee. He tied the man up, took his gun, and questioned him. The man was someone Mike met before. His name is Aaron, formerly known as Kyle. Aaron admits he doesn't know much, being a grunt, but tells him of the rats and the creature in the lab below. He knows Iris is funding a project out here, but doesn't know exactly what it is.
Now, Mike, do you want to take over? Let's do it. Now, Jack hasn't read any of this. What page are we on? I don't know. We're on page four. We're halfway done. This is halfway through the season. But again, Jack hasn't read any of this. And there might be grammatical errors and spelling errors. So good luck. When Mike hears Arlo over the radio, that's when he goes searching for Amber. He kills Arlo and Amber and Mike leave together. They find Aaron has escaped and head off, making their way to the highway.
Amber admits her relationship with Gene. She also tells Mike more of her past. They bond a bit, but until they can't, they bond a bit until they can't walk anymore. They sleep on the edge of a cliff. But when Mike awakens from a nightmare, Amber is gone. But she returned shortly after a few calls from Mike. She mentions her backpack was taken not from an animal, but from the rats. She heard whispers, so they hightail it out of there.
The whole next day is spent walking and talking. They stay off trail to remain hidden. They chat about travel, about where they should head after they leave the woods. They talk about Jean lying, the rats, and about her job out here. She was told by Jean that she was just supposed to talk to the people in Tower 4 to keep them comfortable and to take notes. She saw it as being therapeutic, but she really didn't know why she was doing it.
At one point, a helicopter flies overhead, warning people of a fire. Mike and Amber debate whether it's a real alert or just a way to flush them out. Once the helicopter leaves, they continue their trek. They talk more about Brighton Rock, about Emil, the man who visited Amber in her tower, and about each year Amber was a lookout.
Mike was worried because Aaron told him the Tower 4 occupants were chosen. Hours pass and Amber and Mike continue to chat and bond and eventually Mike realizes that Amber likes him. Things get awkward momentarily. Eventually they see smoke, but no longer after they... Wait...
but no longer after they reach a Creek, which isn't far. Not long after. Ah, okay. Sorry. Eventually they see smoke, but not long after they reach a Creek, which isn't far from the highway. They get excited until someone appears startled. They jump up, but realize it's a hiker and his girlfriend who, who comes out from the woods. And while Amber and Mike aren't sure if they should trust the couple named Leroy and Carrie, they decide to travel with them since they have a car waiting at the trailhead.
Mike and Amber pretend to be a hiking couple themselves. Things seem to be going okay until Mike makes a few mistakes in his story and accidentally flashes his gun.
Carrie informs Leroy of the gun and a fight ensues. Carrie uses bear spray on Mike, but Amber gets the upper hand. Amber and Mike force Leroy and Carrie to go with them. They feel bad, but they need their car. Once they reach the highway, they all hop into the car and head south. They don't make it far before they hit a roadblock with SUVs. Leroy is shot and Carrie is forced to drive the car. A chase ensues with Mike and Amber shooting at the SUVs until they all crash. Mike is knocked out.
and has another dream of the hallway with flickering lights and creatures. Sorry. Flickering fluorescent lights. Inside joke. My favorite. Mike is knocked out and has another dream of the hallway with flickering fluorescent lights and creatures. Sorry. It's a lot. Wrong pipe. When Mike awakens, he finds Carrie and Leroy are dead and Amber unconscious.
He also hears a man from the SUV approaching. Let me get some of that water. You want me to take over? Once at a safe distance, Amber expresses her disapproval of shooting the man, but Mike feels it was necessary. Yeah, I'm going to pass this to you and get some water. Sorry. Nope. All right. And then we have... Let's see. Let's see. Now I don't even... Oh, here we go. They rush off back into the woods. Amber has...
That's where, uh, sorry. Where do we leave off? Once at a safe distance, Amber expresses her disapproval of shooting the men, but Mike feels it was a necessity. They rush off back into the woods. Amber has a sprained ankle making walking tough. They don't get far and eventually sleep on the edge of a cliff in the morning. They find flyers floating around that worn of, uh,
the fires i think i said fires twice but flyers warning about the fires they decide to head north to yellowstone to make it somewhere public and actually walk along wind walk for faster and easier travel at one point amber mentions brighton rock she wants to get her bearings but she also wants to talk to gene mike eventually agrees but says he won't take his help
help once they reach the rock they see fires to the east and west and south of them they only have one option now amber calls gene he tells her she has to get out of the woods they are going to burn it all gene was kicked out of the ranger station but plans to fly back in with hayley to site three he tells amber to meet him there he tells her to trust him mike doesn't mike doesn't trust him and says he won't go to site three
Before they leave the rock, Amber calls the police, but doesn't get any help. And she calls them a serious number and reaches a man named miles. Miles claims the forest is extremely dangerous and that she needs to escape, but he tells her not to trust Mike.
She dismisses his worry and tells Mike that she's staying with him. They leave after destroying her phone. We then cut to the lab where Miles talks to a different doctor, Dr. Spencer, not Dr. Caldwell from the beginning. He seems to be in charge and asks what was said. Miles fills him in and tells him that he thinks Amber will rendezvous with Jean.
Two hours later, Amber and Mike are on the Shoshone Trail heading north. Amber talks more about her past, this time her family. Mike shares some family past too. At night, they reach a field where they spot some rats running from a helicopter. A man hanging out of the helicopter shoots at the rats, hitting all four. He drops a small device on a parachute and the helicopter takes off. Mike and Amber investigate and figure the small device for a tracker. But before they leave, they're attacked by a milky-eyed beast.
rat. It's the same rat that almost bashed Mike's head in several nights ago after Lance was killed. And right before the rat plans to kill Mike again, Amber shouts Mike's name, causing the rat to stop. The rat sees the picture of NJ and the red-headed girl and stops his attack. He seems to recognize Mike by name. He warns Mike and Amber to run, kisses the other rat woman who was killed, and takes off into the woods. Passing it back to... Gina, you take over from here. No. I got it! I got it!
We didn't send it to Gina. The tracking device is beeping crazily now, and Mike and Amber book it to the wood line. They hide as a cart arrives with two men, Aaron and another guy named Barry. They're gathering the devices and bodies, but before Mike and Amber head out, Mike gets an idea to steal the cart.
He sneaks up to it and uses the yellow key card he still has to start it up. Aaron spots him and jumps on the cart. They fight while driving around the field. At one point, Aaron aims his gun, about to shoot Mike when Amber hits him in the arm, causing him to fall from the cart. Mike picks her up on the trail and they head off.
They head along Shoshone a while until they see there is a fire north of them as well. They're about to be trapped. They divert off the road and steer through the smoke, fleeing animals and other debris. Suddenly, a helicopter swoops in and gives chase. They race up an incline, but when Mike sees they're running out of room, they plan to jump. But Amber gets shot and loses her grip.
Mike jumps off the cart and hits a tree, but before he's knocked completely unconscious, he sees Amber fall over the cliff with the cart into the flames below.
Good boy.
Gene is in the lab as well. Mike demands to be let out, but when Dr. Spencer appears with different plans, things get dark. Mike finds out Amber is dead and that Iris will kill his ex-girlfriend's son if Mike doesn't comply, so he gives in to an injection.
Miles wheels him to a different room where Mikey finally gets to see the creature before being injected with a substance where he's told he'll forget the tower and Amber. He drifts off but not before Miles gives him a new backstory to cover for the months he was at the tower. He's also told that he has an independent an important meeting on a specific day months from now.
Mike wakes up in his new home in Ketchikan, Alaska. He's working as a dock worker and going about his life dating and writing. The day that he's supposed to have his meeting, he shows up at Benny's Pub in Mountain Point. There he goes inside and meets a Jerry Campbell who seems to already know Mike. Mike's confused and asks what it's all about. Jerry wants to talk to Mike about everything he has forgotten. The end.
Nice. The end. And that's it. That's season three in a nutshell. Yep. That's all. All right. Thanks for joining, guys. Yeah, yeah, yeah. See you later. Gina's like, thanks for keeping me on this call for that. Yeah, for sure. Yep, yep. So, yeah, that is season three. Season three was the longest season we've done. Not only were the episodes, like,
40 to 60 minutes long most of them uh but it was also 11 episodes not something that we originally planned but just kind of happened in fact it was only going to be 10 episodes but when the finale ended up being like over 200 pages i was like we need to split this up a little bit more so that's what we did um so gina did uh
What did you think about the Amber perspective for like four episodes? I mean, I enjoyed it. I know it's kind of not everybody did, and that's okay. But I think it was good to just learn more about Amber. You know, I always believed in Amber, so it was nice to have an opportunity to plead my case, you know? So, yeah, I mean, I liked it. And I thought he had like nice little like,
Nuggets of knowledge dropped in each episode. So like, I don't think they were wasted episodes. Like I think. So a lot of people considered them like filler and I'm like, okay, but like, there's also a lot of new information.
I thought so. You know, like between her and Jean and like, like I thought there was a lot revealed in those episodes. Yeah, I completely agree. I thought that this was one of those things that throughout the rest of the seasons, that's what everybody's continued to say as well. I don't know if I trust Amber. I don't trust Amber. I don't know if I like Amber. Yeah.
And then you got to see from Amber's perspective for several episodes. So you got to get a little bit more insight into her as a person, her motives and what was really going on. So it helped you connect a lot of things because after that, it was on a nonstop, you know what I mean? Yeah. Adrenaline from there. Yeah. And I feel like without those episodes, I don't think...
The nonstop adrenaline ones would have had the same impact, you know, if you didn't have any kind of real connection or knowledge of who Amber was. Yeah, because people only had a connection to really Mike and then they were always skeptical of Amber. I felt like giving Amber a little bit more and then almost kind of turning it into a Mike and Amber story for a little while, I thought was kind of cool. And I think most people seem to like that.
It seemed like even a lot of people were like they wanted to see Mikey and Ambie escape. That was the whole thing. I hope they escape together and they get out together and stuff. Yeah, maybe there's still that aspect of can you trust Amber? But I think...
It's funny because when I first started writing, I was only going to do episode two as the Amber kind of like prequel and get her side of view. And it was just going to be called a different point of view. And that was just going to be one episode and then cut back to Mike's.
And then for whatever reason, I was like, no, I think I need more time to like really establish everything. And it was kind of fun, like doing like, that's why I had her work on a puzzle because I liked the idea of, it was kind of like a puzzle to kind of figure out why she would say certain things at certain points with Mike, when she would talk to Jean, how it all fit together. And,
And it wasn't easy to write. So it's not like some, we got like one complaint that was like, oh, it's just lazy writing. I'm like, those episodes were sometimes harder than the later episodes. Yeah, because I feel like you had to go back to like the first, maybe the second season too, and really make sure that what you were doing in this season matched up with what was there.
You know what I mean? Like, I feel like that's a lot of work. Yeah. It wasn't easy. And it was, it wasn't easy. Like, why would she say this to Mike at this point? If like this just happened or like, if she just talked to Jean, what would she really, would she really said that to Mike and trying to figure out like when she talked to Jean, when she met that guy who showed up at her tower or when, and like things did kind of fall into place nicely, which was good, but it was still like, it wasn't easy. And then even editing it, going back and finding all your old recordings, um,
And then, yeah, well, and finding them like when she's talking to Mike and then turning everybody, all the Mike lines over the radio and then having Amber do stuff like what's she doing? She working on her puzzle right now? Is she like, you know, outside? Is she working out? Is she eating? She breakdance fighting. Yeah, she breakdance fighting. Is she eating banana chips that people love to hear? Yeah. I'm in the camp of...
I'm in the camp of I don't want to hear that. I know. You hate it, and it just doesn't bother me. I just don't care. It doesn't bother me either. I mean, I guess if somebody's really wet and eating in my ear or something, it would bother me. But I don't know. Just crunching down on banana chips, it never bothered me. And you actually recorded a lot of your lines actually eating.
I think it may be season one. It wasn't banana chips, but it was something, it was like a chip or something. Yeah. Yeah. And season one, it wasn't, but for season three, I was definitely eating banana chips. Right. So, so those, I was like, yeah, so the authentic, you know, full method, the actual crunch. Do you like banana chips or, uh, I do actually. Yeah. I find them enjoyable. I,
I know. That's one thing that we need to figure out. Never had them. Yeah, I've never had them. No? Nope. Oh, you've got to have them. They're actually really good. It's just funny how many people love them now. I sound like Amber right now. There's a lot of people who really do like them some banana chips. That's one of the most common things we see in like Discord or Facebook group is, oh man, I got myself some banana chips because I've been listening to Tower 4. Yeah.
And it's so funny to me how they took off. Like, that's one of those things that, like, you could never plan writing this, you know? But, like, people just lacked on to different things. And, like, I like how you really, like,
spoke directly to that this season like in multiple episodes where you're like talking directly to the audience oh it's it's even in that like uh kind of like um montage at the end like where she mentions banana chips all right i'm gonna throw that in there too just for fun i just gotta say the montage was easily one of my favorite things i love the whole season
Oh my God. It was so good. It was so good. And I just, I remember all the people going, did you ever hear the montage at the end? Yeah. Some people said, well, you were amped up. Cause I remember you just pulling me into that, that studio back there and go, Hey, I want to listen to this real quick.
And I didn't know. Yeah. And then I heard it. I was just like, oh, my gosh. Yeah, let's go with it. And it wasn't easy. I was trying to find like stuff that was kind of important that they said, but also get like from all three seasons. So for whatever reason, it was when I was writing the finale, which I was doing when I took the cabin trip back in April, I was like working on the finale and and like a couple episodes before it.
And once I was got to the end of the finale, I'm like, I need something else to kind of like get people amped up. And I, that band, like their song is on art list.io, which is we download songs from there and use it in the show. And, um,
we used one of their songs for the prologue and I was like, let's see what else they have. And then I found that song and I'm like, I don't know, for some reason, this song just fits. And I was like, all right. Yeah. I was like, this is good. So I just left it. So I like that we have one of their songs in the prologue and then a different song in the finale.
So I think they only have three songs on art list. So we only got one more. Yeah. It was either that or zombie. Yeah. Yeah. We were going to get the cranberries. They would have been down with it.

The biggest cast Tower 4 has had in this season. There's a lot of characters. Especially the finale had a ton of characters. Yeah. And Barry, a nice little fuck Barry in there. So the finale, I mean, we'll talk more about like the other episodes too, but I know in the finale, I think there's like 20 something characters just because there's a lot of like characters he's working with like on the dot, like in Catch a Can and stuff. Yeah. Yeah.
That was one thing where like, try not to spoil things, but it's like, there's way more people in this episode guys. And the episode was an hour and 20 minutes and a lot of action. It was a ton. Finding cart sounds, finding a cart, like Mike driving on a cart, zooming over hills and stuff while fighting Aaron was,
man, finding the right cart sounds that made it sound like it was going fast. But one of the best parts, and I wish that Gina and I could do this. This would be great, but I got to record Aaron. No, with Aaron. Yeah. Nick, Nick Keeney. So he was here and I got to record opposite of him.
Oh, cool. Well, like I did my lines like baby fresh and then he came in like the next day. And so it was me recording him and we got to kind of go back and forth. So he, but he, he told me before we started, he's like, really bring it, man. He's like, I really want you to. You guys did so good though. Like that whole episode was so, like I was blown away when it was done. That's why I had to like, I think I sent you an email or something. I was like. You did. Bravo.
I was like, that was so good. I had to listen to it twice. I listened to it the first time. I was like, I gotta listen to this again. It was so good. Your email was a big mix of emotions. I loved it. It's funny too. After I recorded? I think after I recorded. After you recorded, you read through the script, didn't you? No, I didn't. After I recorded,
It's like I didn't realize, like, okay, spoilers, whatever. I didn't realize I was dead, right? So, like, as I'm recording, I was like, oh, I'm going to show back up. And I did it, like, I didn't, I wanted to do it fresh. So, like, I didn't look at the script at all. I just went in the booth and I saw it for the first time as I was recording. I like to do that so it's authentic. Right. So, like, when I went over the edge and all, like, I was just like, okay, I'm going to show up later in the episode. So, like, I didn't think anything of it. And then I was like, wait a minute. My name's not highlighted anywhere.
then I go and then I saw where it's like, Amber's dead. I was like, but like with no context. So I was like, Oh damn, it's over. I text you guys like, well, yeah, yeah. So very upset. Uh,
Jose Caraballo, who helped edit... He did a couple episodes, helped edit a couple episodes, but he just did the voices for this, the finale. I remember when he was going through it at one point, he was just like, I...
He's like, these are some bold choices you're making. He's like, not only do you kill off Amber, but you kill her off like a half an hour into the episode. He's like, there's still 50 minutes left. I'm like, yeah, I know. We're going to see how this plays out. How it plays, yeah. Yeah, I mean. Yeah, so is.
yeah it i felt like i i needed like you like remember when walking dead was good yeah like you'd have this remember when walking dead was good i agree i agree but yeah but you needed that talking dead after to like process it collectively with a group of people and i felt like after this like that's what i needed but like i had nobody to talk to because like nobody around me knows it except for steve and i didn't want to spoil anything so i was just like
okay i'm gonna just get some of these feelings for a while right but again i didn't know he was a good he was was he a good sport was it were there times where you were sitting around the house and he was like are you okay so i was actually really lucky he wasn't home when i recorded it nice so i was able to just like holy shit like i was like that really happened i was like
Then I was analyzing. I was like, well, it really was good. I mean, he had the whole moment where she was like, I don't regret anything. So yeah, that kind of closed off. Well, like, you know, her mental state, you know, like she would have done it all again. Yeah. So, yeah, there was, uh, I knew, so there's two things when I was writing, I knew that the, the Amber episodes, uh,
being like being from her perspective and kind of going back and seeing from like her side throughout the first couple seasons just kind of shortened up in a few episodes I knew those were going to be super divisive and I remember telling Jack when we were recording because you came in to record I think you only had like a
like some lines of dialogue that were like new conversations between you and Amber that I put in there. But I was like, yeah, these are like more Amber centric. I'm like, these are going to be super divisive. I just kind of felt that I need that. I was kind of like,
Well, this is the easiest it's ever been to record Tower 4. Just dialogue. You just had dialogue, no voiceover. Yeah, and I was like, oh my gosh. I was like, I'm done? Yeah, yep. And then, you know, we get to the finale and it's like, you know, 84 pages. I was going to say, that was a lot of you. Yeah, I remember Amber, not Amber, Amber, but our Amber being like, have you seen this thing? The script is huge. Yeah, because she recorded with you, right? Like, yeah, so...
It was a lot. And I knew that the finale would be, or I at least felt that the finale would be kind of divisive, but it actually wasn't as divisive as I thought it would. Like later on when it came out, people seemed to really like the finale. And then not only that,
We got complaints about the Amber-centric episodes, like people, it was lazy writing or whatever. Well, not a lot. That's not fair to say. Yeah, it wasn't as much as I thought it would be, though. It still seemed like people enjoyed it. We got enough for it to be noticeable. And I always felt the only episode that really had a lot of the same dialogue from...
earlier on was the first episode with Amber, which was episode two of this season, where it was kind of just, you know, her introducing herself to Mike again. And we got a lot of that same dialogue, but you still had conversations with Jean. You still got some like new stuff and then ending on a cliffhanger I thought was kind of,
Good where she reveals like I love you too Jean and everyone's like wait, are they dating? Are they a brother and sister? What is that? Are they brothers? Yeah, I mean I was like, all right So, you know I felt like that was enough to keep people listening and there's a little bit of that throughout and yeah, and I always try to find the balance of what's progressing the story
but I like a slow build, you getting enough character development, but also like, I just like being in the world. I just like being in that. Like, I'm not, I'm not rushing to the next plot point. Like I want to get to know the characters more. I like the little like conversations between her and the guy she meets. That's like a company man. That's not saying much that like shows up at her tower. I like that. It was like stormy out and it was like kind of creepy. Um,
I like those kind of like quieter moments and I like those in the early seasons of Tower 4 with Mike. It's one of the reasons that people really resonate with the characters. That's why I think people like Mike so much and people like Amber so much is just the fact that
there's a lot to get to know of them. And they're real people, right? It's not like, you know, it's not where it's unbelievable. And sometimes, you know, you get those characters that have these abilities or they don't have any sort of
training and they're all of a sudden Superman. They know exactly what they're, you know what I mean? They know how to handle the situation. And I think that while there's a space for it and it's cool, I like the more grounded characters who you can relate to because you're like, I probably would do this. And then they do that thing. You know what I mean? But even like Mike losing his cool, like in shooting those guys, like after the car crash and stuff. I think you wrote that for me. Well, I wrote that just because I'm like,
When's he going to call it enough? Yeah. You know what I mean? Exactly. I would think that after a car chase. He has had enough. And he thought Amber almost died. Like, you know what I mean? Like, it's one of those things where I just feel like that's the moment. And I don't think you get that moment if that was episode three. Right. The whole series. You know what I mean? And at some point, you're right. At some point, you're like, I've had enough of this. These people have been trying to kill me enough. At what point do I start taking pieces off the board? Yeah. Right. Yeah.
And I, I kind of liked that. I, again, we just like our, or at least I do, I like slow builds and I, I like that kind of stuff. So I know that when people are like, I just want to know how it ends. It's like, well, I'm more excited about the journey.
And I know people want an ending. I get that. But like when it's ending, when it ends, it ends. It's like there is no more. Right. And I've seen a lot of shows where I don't like the ending and I like the journey way more that I kind of I just want people to like, you know, just lost Game of Thrones. There's just a lot. I mean, even Walking Dead after a while kind of.
just lost its momentum. - Well, it's one of those things where people are like, they've said this about not just Tower 4, but other shows, like, "I hope this goes on forever." And I'm like, "Well, not forever." - We don't want that. - Not either. - We also want this to have a satisfying ending, and I'd like for it to, you know, I mean, we talked about this a couple times before, how long does Tower 4 go? How many more seasons can we expect? And I think before this season started, we realistically were like, okay,
Maybe one more after this. Yeah. So we don't expect this one to go on for seven, eight, nine seasons. No. Who knows what's going to happen? Cause I know this guy and he likes to say, yeah, one more season and he'll be, he'll be about a third of the way through. I think, I think we just need one more season after this. And,
And don't worry, this is only going to be eight episodes, but the finale is going to be four hours. Have an intermission every season. I mean, I did that with Atlas Avenue B. I remember like Atlas Avenue B, every season was like 12 episodes. And then like season three comes along. I'm like, all right, it's 15 episodes and the finale is almost two hours. Yeah. And I was worried about this season's finale for sure.
It would have been over two hours if we didn't split episodes. Episodes 10 and 11 were the same episode at one point. Right. So like him fighting the rat, him seeing... Like them seeing the... That's a movie. That's a movie. Yeah. It would have been so much. I'm like...
with the, with the cart chase and all the ending stuff and all the cast, I'm like, let's split this up. Let's split this up a little more. Yeah. And I think that worked out well, but, but we sent, we sent the, the episode to the brain trust, the people that we like to let kind of preview it beforehand. And,
my wife being one of them and her, her just coming to me and be like, this is one of the best ones you guys have ever done. Yeah. Despite her loving Amber so much. And you know, the whole, yeah, of course. But it's just like, she was just like, what, what is happening? Well, obviously she's partial to Mike. Right. Of course. But, but still my husband who just finds his Amber. Yeah, that's right. That's right. He doesn't trust her.
But, you know, I got to say, it makes me excited for the next season of it, but not too excited. Well, that's the thing is also season four, like we've been doing hour long episodes and it seems like people like them. Yeah. I mean, Tower Four blew up this year. I mean, it kind of really picked up momentum in season two. But when we started releasing season three.
especially a year ago even a year ago yeah a year ago that's an important detail a year ago but it just exploded we got a lot more people that joined patreon because we released the episodes earlier on there and we're like yeah like okay this is it's starting to get like super popular then we started charting like on all the stuff which is awesome which we were charting before but we were but not number one not like spotify oh for sure okay because i
Because I felt like it got big this season, but I don't know what numbers are. I don't know what any of this stuff means. I was like...
feels bigger now like it feels bigger than it was well that's what's like mind-blowing to me is the fact that i told jack this is going to be probably a divisive season at least the first half and then to see us chart like be number one i'm like maybe okay maybe not like i mean obviously we still have people who complain but it wasn't as much and it seems like people still genuinely liked it and i think it is just most most of it is just like the characters i think they just
They get, they like the characters, they, they bond with the characters and for sure. You don't have to like everything the characters do, but you can appreciate aspects of them. Um, and then, yeah, same with the finale. It seems like most people like the finale. Um, again, that's like kind of what we do. We always do like a big epic finale. Um,
it's always a pain to edit can't imagine i always save all the action is going to be that's gonna be probably when mike reenters the atmosphere just laser gun battles yeah yeah it's gonna be like a michael bay film yeah everything um
So, you know, I thought there were a couple other cool things that weren't necessarily story related to Tower 4, but Seven Lambs story related. We had some pretty cool nods and cameos to other shows. Oh, yeah, especially in the finale. Although, okay, so I did write down one other when I was doing the...
uh, summary of the whole season. There is an episode where I added some dialogue where Amber and Mike are talking about Mathis versus Sinatra. And they're talking about who's better, like a better crooner from, you know, the fifties and stuff. And, uh, that is directly taken from, uh, the movie diner, which is a 1982 movie. Um,
starring whose side is Mike on Paul Reiser he says Sinatra she's on Sinatra side too okay good but they she mentions Mathis having like a really good song and you're like yeah but it's Sinatra yeah it's like no I know yeah Sinatra is the winner but making a case yeah exactly just saying that he does have some good tunes
but that's from diner. And the reason why I bring that up, not only is that one of my favorite movies, but it's also the first episode of movie night, which is our sitcom style show that we do about six friends who watch a movie every Friday night and they pick a new movie. And then whatever happens in the episode kind of,
coincides with the movie well that's one of their conversations is mathis versus sinatra nice and uh so i put that in there as like a little reference to movie night i play cooper in movie night i don't pay much attention so if i go the the uh gina route and i only read my lines as cooper yes i'm just like what is what's going on what is this guy doing yes he's uh he's a little bit of a wild card he's definitely a wild card he reminds me of floyd from the movie true romance
Okay. I was going to say almost like a Charlie Day, I thought. Except not as crazy. Pepe Sylvia! Pepe Sylvia! Yeah, not as crazy, but kind of that. Charlie Day? Yeah.
So boxes full of Pepe. But in the finale, we had a lot of references. Yes. One of them, you already mentioned the fuck Barry. Yes. I, I, so when we recorded that, I was so happy. Yeah. Because that's been in almost every show that we've done in this tower. It was kind of the last holdout. Yeah. So a fuck Barry moment, people who don't know fuck Barry, uh,
comes from Atlas Having a Beat, which is one of our comedy. It's a film noir spoof, if you haven't listened to that. But that's where Fuck Barry comes from. It's just this guy named Barry who just gets in the way of the main character, Locke, played by Jack. He just gets in his way. And he's not a bad guy, but Locke just doesn't like him and just berates him and tries to get him fired every time he meets him throughout the show. And that kind of translated to...
to other shows and Barry kind of, there's almost a Barry in every show we've done. Yeah. All of them, but most of them. And there's always somebody who just doesn't like him. And we, you know, you never know really why people don't like Barry, but they just don't like him. He's just, he's just annoying, you know? Yeah. That's what it is. So that's where the fuck Barry comes from. Uh, also there's a mention of Jack getting, uh,
or Mike getting a beer at the bar, which is called Calypso Odyssey, which is from Crystal Blue, which is actually a drug in Crystal Blue, but it goes by the same name. But it's not the biggest one. It's not the biggest one. So I'm saving that one for last. And that is obviously Roland from Paralyzed makes an appearance. And I know, Gina, you read kind of –
Further ahead, because you mentioned that later on that you said when you were reading the script. So I was just skimming to see if I had any more lines, and then I saw Roland's name, and I was like, holy shit! But I didn't read it to know why she was there or anything like that, but I was just like, oh my gosh!
So Roland, yeah, Roland is a detective from our horror podcast called Paralyzed. So if you haven't listened to Paralyzed, she's in that and she's this detective who's trying to solve some mysterious cases. We're not going to go too far into it. Yeah, we won't go too far into it, but she appears in this. And again, this isn't to say that it's all going to tie in together, but it's just...
you know, it's in the same world. Yeah. It's in the same world. She's there. And there is a point. We kicked around a lot of cameo ideas. Yeah. Um, but that, that's the best one. I think Roland is the best. And then Bodega Bay. Yeah. Oh, that's true. And we mentioned Bodega Bay, which is actually appears in not only, uh, end of all hope, but paralyzed as well. Somebody commented on that in the spoiler chat on discord the other day. They're like, why does he always mention Bodega Bay? I don't know.
I don't know. I've been there once, but it's not like I'm in love with the place. I just, I like it. I like Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds. That's where they filmed it. So other than that, I just like having references to different, you know, things in all the different shows. So that was, yeah. So yeah, I forgot about the Bodega Bay one and that was...
Yeah, that was obviously the end of all hope. I got to play two characters in this one because I was also Jake Mazzaro, who's also from Paralyzed. And you talked to Mike. Me talking to myself. So,
So that's the thing is if you listen to paralyzed, there is a moment where Roland and Jake are in Alaska. Yep. And that's why I was like, Oh, this might be a great time to have them kind of me. And there's actually a line of dialogue. I was like, I don't know if I can make this sound like smooth, but there's a line of dialogue in paralyzed that makes it sound like they did go to a bar. So I'm like, this is perfect. So I'm like, let's, let's add that. I could not have been happier to see Roland show up because people were freaking out and, and,
Guys out there, please don't spoil your fellow lambs if you can. We actually have a... One of the first couple comments was like, Roland! Yeah. So we... Or Amber, no! Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So we had to change a bit of our settings so that we couldn't get people too spoiled. But you were going to say we have a spoiler chat. We have a spoiler chat in Discord and we have a spoiler group in Facebook. Yes. So you can join either of those. I don't know. Is the spoiler group on Facebook? Is that just for Tower 4? Is that for all the shows? So it's called Tower 4 Spoilers, but they talk about pretty much everything. I think they have talked about other stuff too.
But everybody in there is pretty respectful. And in Discord, not only do they use the spoiler chat there, but you can mask your comments in the spoiler chat. Oh, that's right. Yeah. So that kind of helps. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. So if you want to discuss any of those, you can go to either Discord or I don't know. What's the Discord link? We'll post it on our we have it posted on our Facebook group anyway. So definitely make sure to follow us because we're
We constantly do updates. Obviously I did do a little message at the beginning of the finale, kind of saying that we are taking a little break from tower four. I don't want to harp on this too long. Cause we always talk about this, these episodes and these shows take so long to produce. They just do. And it's not like I can just sit there. I mean, I went, I went for two weeks to a cabin to just write, I wrote 475 pages. Half of that was probably tower four. And
And even then it wasn't easy. And that's only because I had an outline going in there and stuff and had all the free time to do it. But that doesn't happen often. And it's not like I'm going to a cabin all the time. There's a lot of other just background work that we're doing constantly. Well, we were working on...
Some back end financial stuff. We were talking about Shopify, possibly starting a shop of ours and you know, who knows? There might be more to come there. Yeah. Yeah. And other shows that we're working on, we've been working on a show that is going to be exclusive for Patreon. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
So there's a lot of things going on besides Tower 4. So while we love all of our Tower 4 folks that come by, there's a ton of stuff that we're working on. But it's one of those things where people go like, just concentrate on one show at a time. It's not always that easy. Ask the people who like End of All Hope how they feel about us concentrating on one show at a time. Yeah, because we pretty much concentrated on Tower 4 almost exclusively, probably 80%. Yeah.
I'd say it's higher. It probably is. I think so too. Yeah. I mean, the only other things that we really released this year were a couple episodes of Atlas having to beat a side story. And then the stone house kind of wrapped up at the beginning of this year. So yeah,
Yeah. Other than those, we exclusively worked on Tower 4, but writing longer episodes, you know, the outlines, recording everybody, editing. That finale is one of the hardest things. I think that is the hardest episode I've ever had to edit. Yeah. And then I didn't even do the voices. We had somebody else do the voices and stuff. So it's like just doing the sound effects and music. I mean, it probably took 200 hours. It was a ton. Yeah.
But now for those of you who are friends or fans of paralyzed and end of all hope. Yeah. Your time is a coming. We're going to. So, yeah, look forward to that kind of stuff. I do want to just really quick before we start wrapping up some other stuff. I just want to see. I put down the car chase, I think, was the first thing.
where we really got a ton of people commenting about the action set piece that was the car chase. Yeah, that was good. It was intense to record too. It was awesome. Yeah, it was fun. And that wasn't super easy to edit either. It was easy to visualize for me. Oh, yeah. No, it was fun to edit for sure. That was probably my favorite scene to edit just because it was really fun, but it wasn't easy. And just the car rolling and the...
Finding sound effects sometimes is like sitting there for like two hours just like, okay, here's a golf cart, but it's not going fast enough. So I need to find a golf cart that goes fast enough. Or find a way to manipulate that sound to make it sound faster. Which isn't easy either because sometimes it just sounds completely fake or like a little motorized scooter. Like it's just weird. So...
Yeah. Yeah. That's what it is. So I'm like, well, I can't just fast forward this. I'm going to have to find something else and tweak it. But yeah, the car chase was a big one that I remember seeing a lot of people on Facebook start commenting like how crazy the action was. Yeah.
And for whatever reason, episode seven, which is just Mike and Amber walking through the woods and Amber kind of explaining what she's been through the last couple years doing this job and talking about Jerry and Sam and Gene. That was the hardest episode to write. And that took probably about three months to write. Yes.
And I don't know if it was just because I was worried about the continuity or worried about like how much I should reveal that Amber knows and how much I should reveal that like, you know, of just the story. Yeah, that's we took a little hiatus from that, I think, to focus on some of the Atlas Avenue beat stuff for a little bit, just so I could refresh my mind and get back to it after working on something else. But yeah, that took about three months and I didn't finish it until December.
the cabin trip that I took to just write. And I was like, all right, now I have to just focus on it. Yeah. But once I got through it, episodes eight, nine, 10, it was a lot easier. So, um, yeah, that was a pain trying to think.

Oh, so some there's two other things I want to mention. The rat men, not actually rat men. They're called rat men as in their rats as experiments. Right. But I think some people interpreted them as like actually physically rat men. Like Master Splinter running around. Yeah, they're not there again. I love interpretations and everything, but I do want to just specify this because it's going to.
We'll dive deeper into it in season four, but yeah, they're just experimented on. Yeah. So they're just labeled the rats like lab rats. Um, and then the men,
map of the forest people have asked about a map for Tower 4 we probably won't release a map of the forest I know people want to like follow along and if somebody wants to create a map just from hearing it which I think I've heard I think I've heard people have done that they want to yeah yeah I think so
Yeah. I don't know if anyone submitted any art. We've gotten some artwork, but I don't think anyone submitted a map yet, but if somebody wants to do that, that's fine. And, and you know, we'll share it on fan art Friday. Absolutely. Um, but we're not personally going to do it one because I don't want to do one until I'm able to include everything. And I think I'm just going to wait until season four is done. Um, cause I haven't really described much of the forest above where the ranger station is, where towers, uh,
one and two are. So yeah, I kind of want to hold off just for any like spoiler reasons. Not that it would necessarily be spoilers, but yeah, I think we're going to wait till after season four and then we might do one ourselves. But if you want to do a map and you want to listen through and kind of like judge where things are and how the trails go. Yeah, go ahead. Submit it to us. And if you have any artwork, submit it to us. Always do the fan art. It's always so cool to see it.
Yeah, it's cool to see the different interpretations people have. Yeah, I love it. I love it when people go, Mike doesn't look like that or Amber doesn't look like that. I go, it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. It's audio. Make them look however you want. I think the only thing, the only time I've ever really described them, and I could be wrong. It's been a long time since the first season. But I think I said Mike had a little bit of a gut and Amber was a little bit bigger. Like just not big, but just like bigger. Yeah.
And that was it. Well, everybody has their own interpretation and that's kind of the beauty of audio. That's the beauty of audio is we want you to take that ownership. It's like reading a book, right? In a sense that in your book, your characters look a certain way. Yeah. You know, and then if they make the movie adaptation, sometimes you're like, nope, that's not it. That's not how they look to me. Yeah.
But in audio, we're purposefully very reserved in descriptions of people. It's usually like maybe one or two adjectives and then everything else is up to you. And that's definitely by design. So if you hear a voice and you want them to, you know, they appear away in your head, you're right. That's how they look. Well, and a lot of times the way I write is like I'll introduce a character and it's not until we cast them that I'm like, all right, I'm going to take the character this way a little bit. Paul in Atlas Avenue Beat was not the same Paul
three or four episodes into the show because I just kind of changed how he acted and everything like that because of the voice.
A lot of times the voice plays a big part. So we're never looking for a specific, like we might just be like, we're looking for a male voice or a female voice, maybe a little bit deeper, a little bit higher, whatever it is. But that's basically it. I've only ever seen you say that once. And that was for bull in crystal blue where you were like, we need a deeper voice. Yeah. And that was, that was pretty much it because a lot of it is I'll tailor it to kind of the voices. And then sometimes I do imagine who's voicing the character a little bit more as I'm writing it. Hence Charlie and paralyzed.
Yes, 100%. Yeah. So that's, I mean, that's kind of how we handle things. And then I do want to mention also that we mentioned that it took all year to do Tower 4, basically. I mean, we started, I started writing back in July or June of last year.
Took all year. And while 80% or whatever, 85% of it went to Tower 4. We still had other stuff. But we also just have a lot of other things that happened. And we've mentioned the hurricanes. We mentioned that I got hacked. And we mentioned that there's just a lot of... Jack's full-time now. That was something that wasn't for the first half of the year. So now he's full-time. So things change and we're trying to adapt as we go. We're still a very small production company. We still operate...
Is what we call ourselves. We call ourselves a production, Seven Lamb Productions, but we are really still two guys in the garage and a team of actors.
absolutely wonderful people who are our friends who help out and who are you know are always dedicating their time which we appreciate we are looking to grow for sure but like we're not in the stage where we're going on indeed and trying to hire people well and the biggest thing too is and i know we mentioned this before but when people say just focus on one show that works sometimes like it worked for tower four this time it still took a year but sometimes when we have a large cast
We don't sign people to contracts. Like a lot of them are close friends that just record when they have time. So if they can't record and we've had issues recently where some people are just busy or we had to do re-recordings with other shows, we hold off and we go to something else. If we just stayed and went like, oh, like if you couldn't record Tower 4 for like a couple of weeks, you're like, hey, I'm going to
on vacation. I'll be back in like two, three weeks. We don't go, okay. And then we sit just twiddling our thumbs until you're back. So we can start tower four again. We go, all right, let's work on end of all hope. Let's work on crystal blue. Let's work on something else. Not that that ever happened. I'm not trying to put you on the spot. I'm just saying, no, that's okay. I'll never go to, I'll never go on again. Yeah.
No, but that happens all the time. I remember in season two of Tower Four, one of my friends got married. He was a side character and he already voiced it, voiced the character in a previous episode. And he goes, hey, I know you just sent me the script, but I just got married. I'm going on a honeymoon. I won't be back for a couple of weeks. I went.
That's fine. And we did, we postponed and people complained. Why didn't it come out on this time? Well, we didn't want to recast the character. This is our friend. He just got married. That's what it was. And that happens a lot, especially in shows where we have a lot of characters. Luckily in tower four, you know, Jack and Gina a lot quicker with turnarounds. It's not usually an issue, but when we have a finale that has 20 something characters and it gets harder. Yeah.
So that's the production woe side of things along with just life, lifing sometimes. So, right. But we appreciate the support. Oh, a hundred percent that reaches out and says, or goes to the contact us on our website. And it's just like, you guys are awesome. That's all I want to say. Have a good day. And we get to get a bunch of those. And we did today. How dare did you, how dared you do that to Amber? What did I send to you the other day, Gina? Yeah. Yeah. I was like, I do. I do want to ask like,
So, I mean, you already talked about it, Gina, about how, like, I guess you said it kind of made sense that she died and stuff like that. But how sad are you that she died?
I'm devastated, but I'm not going to think about it. Fine. She's not real. I'm still alive. Fine. I'm in the real world. I'm here in real life. Amber got a lot this season, so it was nice to kind of get more of her backstory and things like that. And I'm going to ask, I don't know if this is the way she went out. Did that kind of hurt in that aspect? Like that they're trying to escape? Mike's out now.
He doesn't remember shit, but he's out. But Amber... Until he gets back into the Matrix. That's true. He's got to take the red blueprint. That's right. That's what Jerry's there to tell him. That's true. In my hand. Do you have any speculations on what season four will be?
Just out of curiosity. So I feel like now that I've actually listened to the episode, because I feel like my reaction when I recorded and only looked at my lines versus my reaction when I actually listened to the episode, I have two totally different ideas. So like when I was just looking at my lines, I was just like, okay, like I'm dead. Like it's fine. It's fine. It's whatever. I mean, that's fine. I won't talk to them anymore. It's not real. It's okay. Yeah.
um so i took it very at face value and i was really like like i kind of was just sitting and thinking back like again once it was done then it really like dawned on me what happened so it was like really going through the stages of grief and so then i was like yeah well when you think back to what he did he did have that conversation where she was like look if i had to do it all again i would do it so i was like i mean there was closure there you know what i mean like now she's gone like you know that she had no regrets that she would have done it again um
And I was also very much so like, you don't want that cheap, like, you think they're dead and then just kidding. So I was like, I don't, I didn't want to cheapen her character that way where it's like, I
like you know like soap operas do or whatever so um yeah that would be kind of bad that would be kind of bad if you fall over the cliff and mike wakes up and there's amber yeah well i'm never wanted to be like that this won't be it's all a dream i'm telling everyone right now that's the that's a spoiler i'll say right now this will not be at the very end like he wakes up and it's just like a dream forget or part of his book right i've seen that in movies a lot where people are like yes it's
I'm telling you right now, it's not going to be that. There will be references to different things, but it's not going to be it's all a dream. We're not going to pull a Dallas season four or whatever that was. I think it was Dallas. But yeah, no, not going to do that kind of stuff. I don't like those kind of stories. Not that they're bad. There are some good ones, but yeah, I don't want to write that. What do you think, Robin? I'm just kidding. Sorry, guys.
But then once I listened to it, now I feel like it could go in so many different directions. Not just for Amber, but the whole story. I don't know how you're going to write season four. I don't either. Because I feel like you... There's so many ways that you could take this story down that are all amazing. That's why I just give you so many props. Because...
like bravo like well you killed it appreciate it i will say that one of the things is and diagnose this is i always have a very loose outline i never know going in like exactly i usually have an ending in mind like when i started season three i was like mike and amber are gonna try to escape
Amber's going to probably fall off a cliff into fire. Those were like the two things that I kind of knew were going to happen. How they happened, where it happened, how I got there, didn't know. There's a couple other like little story moments I knew were going to happen. But other than that, a lot of it,
I didn't know how I was going to reveal the Jean Amber situation until I literally just got to the end of that episode. And I was like, this is the perfect time to just end the episode that she says it here. Then that people are going to be like, what the hell? Yeah. Listen to the next episode. So those kind of situations, I don't know until I start writing and it's like, I have some ideas for season four.
Now trying to answer all the questions and not have a lost moment. Not that everything necessarily has to be wrapped up in a neat bow, but having a solid answer for a lot of the questions that have been posed throughout and having a solid ending for Mike and the story. Yeah, it's not going to be easy. And the hardest part is going to be like, how do you tell the story? One of the things I was kind of worried about is cutting to miles and Dr. Spencer below in the lab was like,
This is the first time we're breaking. By the way, Kevin Holloway. I love that guy. Is that the deep voice guy? Eric Holloway. Oh, my God. What did I say? You said Kevin. I'm so sorry. His name is not Kevin. It's Eric. But he is known as that bass voice on all the socials.
He was so good lending us Dr. Spencer because I got introduced to him kind of by a third party and we just sat and had breakfast and as soon as I heard his voice, I was like, dang, man, I wish I had something really sinister for you. And then I read the script and I was like, oh, okay.
here we go. What do you think about this guy? So he was really, really nice, really professional. Good, good dude. But that was another one that I was surprised. Like, I'm like, should I cut to the lab or should I keep telling the story from like Mike and Amber's perspective? Yes. And we decided, let, let's just do it. Let's just cut to the lab. Give a little bit of a taste of what's going down. Right. Kind of the other side. Yeah.
So season four might have more of that, but yeah, we don't know. I don't know exactly how season four will turn out. I have some story ideas and I have an ending in mind and that's pretty much it. Here's my thoughts in terms of Mike, right? Mike is not a Delta soldier. He's not somebody who is like, he's a normal guy. So I wouldn't think it's going to be the Mike revenge tour where he goes in with grenades and...
rifles and stuff like that i think he's a guy who feels very purpose-driven and who knows what's going to click for him and what's going to make him do what but that's one thing that i'm just like that's not mike so people were like i can't wait for mike to come back he's not he's just a guy yeah he's gotten super lucky who forgot all this stuff too so who knows when jerry talks to him
If Jerry does fill him in on a lot of stuff, granted, does Jerry know even what does he know? Yeah. Right. But if he tries to tell him like what, this is what happened or something like that, is Mike going to believe him? Right. Like, you're crazy. Like, yeah, I'm going to go for myself. Yeah. I don't know about this, but job interview tower four. I think I'll apply Jerry. I will. I will also say though, that there, I did skim through the, uh,
uh, spoiler chat on Facebook. I don't think I've looked at the discord one, but on the, um, Facebook one, I just scrolled through just to kind of see how people were talking. There's a lot of people chatting back and forth and it's, it's fun to see the different reactions and the speculations of what's going to happen in season four. And we're going to try really hard to make season four, the last season, uh,
Like Jack said, we'll just do a two-hour movie if we have to for the finale. That's what I imagine is going to happen. It might. Who knows? We aren't working on an audio movie. Yeah, that's true. And it wouldn't be the first time. It wouldn't be the first time that we've done long-ass episodes. But I will say that one thing we might do, though, is split up season four. Kind of do maybe five episodes.
Right. Kind of take a little bit of a break. Yeah. Just to kind of, cause I think they're going to be hour long episodes again, which is a lot to write. It's just so much to write and then edit and record. It's just a lot.
But I also do want to mention a taco sound. Taco slash made by taco. Yes. Taco is a friend that we made who reached out to us, uh, who lives in Norway and he makes music for us. And we included a ton of his music in this, uh, season of tower four, uh, just to our, our cast. You guys are awesome. A hundred percent. So much.
uh no we appreciate gina 100 obviously being a voiceover like having having the jack treatment of like four episodes looking at it and going i was like now i know what he's like but he's like it takes forever just talking to myself now let me ask how do i make that interesting i don't do too many run-on sentences right yes you do no i don't okay yeah
I don't pay attention to grammar. I really don't. So like, to me, it doesn't bother me at all. I just kind of, there are so many takes. Amber is such a stream of consciousness person anyway. Like she's just, she's a talker too. Yeah. You know what I mean? So like if there were run on sentences, I think it would be very on par for Amber. Yeah. Okay. Just, I don't think I would. Yeah. It's like,
When Mike is trying to read these sentences, sometimes you can ask Rob, there'll be so many times I'll read it and I'll screw up and I go, wait a minute. What? Hold on. I'll go back here. This is all one sentence. Yeah. It's like the whole paragraph, but it's, it's a ton of fun. And yeah, for everybody that voiced my, my wife got to be the bartender at the end. Yes. Yep. I noticed. I was like, Oh,
Yes. There was a lot of people who voiced characters that I think we had, maybe not first timers, but people who've maybe only done like one voice for us previously that we just asked around. So like, obviously we say this all the time. We're always looking for voice actors. And if you've sent us something. Yeah. If you will get to you. Right. We have a list of all the people who have inquired about voice acting. What really helps is what, so I rudely interrupted Rob as he was saying is include a demo.
include something. Yeah. Any kind of voice demo. Instead of like, like don't be the person who's like, I want to voice act for you. Okay. What kind of microphone do you have? I don't have one. What do you record on? I don't know. Yeah. And that's not to be rude. I want you to go out and get the microphone and get the stuff and get inspired. And if you have questions, Lord knows we've sat plenty of times answering people's questions about that kind of stuff. But if you want to be part of the production, we're always looking for people, but yeah,
try to be a little bit ahead of the game. Yeah. If you send us a demo, that's going to help us out a lot because we do sometimes where I'm like, we just need a male voice or a female voice and we'll go through and somebody will send a demo. And if they send us a demo, we can just click on it and be like, Oh yeah, this sounds good. Right. Or whatever. Or, Oh, we need something a little deeper. Okay. This one, if you don't send us a demo and then we have to reach out and then it's like a back and forth for like a couple of weeks or something that it's just like,
I know we seem like we're slow with production, but we're constantly working on stuff. So if you can send us a demo, that definitely helps. And you don't have to have a Shure mic or an expensive Rode mic. No, you don't. You just have a decent mic in a quiet room. And as long as it's not your iPhone. Right.
Or your regular. Those are, yeah, those make it rough. Nothing against those. They're great devices. They're super, super helpful. But in terms of this medium, they don't always work. Yeah. Unless you're like in a super quiet room with like not, that's a lot of it too. But we've had friends record under blankets and that helped.
Yep. And it sounds great. Yeah, it does. So there's a lot of different things you can do. And like sometimes just doing like a little bit of research of like just a decent mic that you can pick up and like where to record. And then, yeah, a demo of...
anything. It could just be you talking to us, just saying your name and like some information about you. It doesn't have to be goofy characters or accents. You can include those if you want, but just anything to give us a sense of your voice or what you're capable of. That helps us out because we need a lot of people for Tower 4 finale and we did that like for the season finale. Had a lot of
Had some people who were new to it. They just got in. And I and I will say that some people who mentioned that Alice, who was the person that Mike orders donuts from. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Bring that up, too. Yeah. She sounds like like Amber. And I'm like, that's not Amber. Yeah, I get it. And I actually did that on purpose.
Well, my husband did that too. He's like, did you record for Alice too? I was like, no, I did not. But then he's on the Facebook group like, oh, that Alice really sounds like Amber. I'm quite starting to pie. Why? Because that's what he does. Yep. And I love it. That is what he does.
I did purposely because I knew she was going to be over in intercom. I was like, I'm going to, I just wanted to name her Alice and Alice had like the same number as like Amber. It just kind of Alice and Amber. I'm like, yeah, I'm just going to do that. Yeah. So that I did do that on purpose, but no, it's not Amber. And Gina Coyle did not record for the fast food drive-in or the donut cafe. Yeah. Yeah.
But other than that, I will say that we're going to also start. We already talked about Shopify. We're going to start having some new merch on our website. We already have the Threadless site, which is what is it? 7lamb.threadless.com. Yes. Yeah.
You can find shirts on there. All the links are on our website, www.7lam.com. But we're going to start selling stuff directly through the website too. So you can look forward to that. And we are working on a Patreon Gene-centric prequel. We know how much people love Gene. Yes. And that's why we're doing a prequel. But it's just going to be a prequel. We're not sure how many episodes or anything. It's probably just like a 16-episode series. Each of them an hour and a half long. Yep.
with a four-hour finale split into two. And there's no action. Yeah. Just monologues. It's just a lot of monologues. I know Brian will love that. Oh, 100%. No, but it's going to be a Gene prequel just a little bit. What happens before Tower 4? Again, it won't impact the story at large, so it's...
If you can't donate on Patreon, that's okay. We care about your support in other ways. But if you can and you want to help us out, you can go to patreon.com slash 7Lamb, the number 7 L-A-M-B. And you can donate as little as a dollar a month. Although if you want the Gene side story, all the bonus episodes of all of our shows that are on there right now are on the 3 Lamb tier, I believe, which is $7 a month.
And then four lamb tears, $10 a month. And that's all of our shows, bonus episodes, plus all the other shows early and ad free, which we try to release at least five days to a week early. Sometimes we'll release even earlier. In fact, this tower for recap will probably release two weeks early from when the public will get it. So if you're listening to that and you want to,
Check it out. Try it for a month. Patreon.com slash 7 Lamb, the number 7, L-A-M-B. And we will see you for season 4. We will be back. Thanks, Jack. Thanks, Gina, for joining. We hope you guys enjoyed this. Thank you, Ryb, for writing, editing, creating. Yes. Give me something fun to do. Well, now we got to get you in another show. That's right. Yeah.
A mysterious character show up in End of All Hope. We'll just have Amber show up in End of All Hope. Oh, gosh. That would blow people's minds. Find out that End of All Hope is actually a prequel. What? No way. All right. Well, thanks for listening, guys, and thanks for joining us. We will catch you next time. See you. On to season four. This has been a Seven Lamb production.
