In the last two weeks, i've been flooded with emails and messages from locals and osu. A who were all very angry in a very begue and misguided way. They're all angry because they feel like the podcast has disrespected them.

Many of these direct messages to me were filled with threads of violence and legal action. But the strange thing about IT is that i've never once mentioned any of these people by name on this podcast, none of them. But IT seems that somewhere along the way here in recent weeks, through my investigation, i've hit a nerve, in this case, with the select group of people.

As a general rule of thun, I try my best to steer clear of wild speculation and to only follow the facts in this case. The problem is that in this case, as we've all learned, the facts are very hard defined, and there are several reasons for that. One, the gbs kept this case file, which is the largest in the history of the state, georgia, a secret from the public for well over a decade.

They chase down hundreds of needs and obtain DNA wb s from over two hundred people in tears life, all of which had nothing to do at all. But what actually happened at era and two, for the most part, before this podcast was around, almost all of her close associate in her life had remained silent in the gba, was never able to officially rule anybody out as a suspect in this case. And finally, as we've all learned over the past few months, ben ryan were not the only people who knew what happened at era.

Unless everyone i've talked to is lying. We know there was a search that happened. Just a few, except tera went missing out there on the orchard based on the tip that ryan duke told someone at a party one night that he killed tera.

And bodach said himself that he too told multiple people about this over the years, but no one did anything. So to me, the problem with this case is pretty clear, secrecy in silence. A select group of people in a sila have chosen to remain silent over the years with hold valuable information that could have potentially solve this case as early as two weeks after telegrams that disappeared.

So the recent threats i've received, steaming from practically zero basis, only underscore this problem even more. I'm not pointing a finger at anyone. The g bi said, ryan, due kill tera, not me.

The gba and bodice himself said that he burn terror's body in the peak on orchard, not me. Close friends of both duke said that other people and their friends circle knew about this. Not me.

Both girlfriend brooke said that eight people were there at bullion ryans house that night. Not me. So let this be a public service announcement to everyone out there.

I follow the facts, not the only thing i'll ever report on. If you think that these facts are wrong, then by all means, come tell the world what the real story is. And if you can do that, then in my eyes, you're exactly the reason.

This case took twelve years to solve. You chose to sit back hiding under a rock while rumors and speculation round wild. And now a decade later, I chose this, been two years of my life dedicated to finding the truth in this case.

And then you emerge from the world works ready to sling mud and try to paint me as the problem. So here's my message to all of you, don't be a coward. You're measly efforts are trying to stop me from finding the truth, aren't working into all those people, both locally and osa and all over the world who have shown me your support. I want you to know that I sincerely appreciated. There's only two episodes left and now I will stop at nothing to find the truth and.

v an industrial lana, this is up and vanished the investigation of terrible in, said, i'm your host pain lenzing.

They're very well connected. They're very wealthy. They're also much a hair rises. And did you did a lot of bad things that was going to take an incident where a group of gas from iron county when a bio canto fish show to to fight with, gather over there and they jump don't somebody with a baseball but had near guilty hospitality, beating very badly and nothing I came from and they did get any trouble. Nothing was never cin the charges ever found.

You know, that just account things from what understand that they used to do. This circle of life was was always doing bad things. They're always cover for each other. And this was just fun. More thing to cover for.

According to one of my early sources, bullen rine group of friends were part of a huge fightback in two thousand and four. They left two men nearly beaten to death. As the story goes, those group of friends were never charged, and instead three men from fitz drill became the scapegoats.

If this fight was so big, I figured there had to be a record of IT somewhere. So I first went to the ocean star orchids. And sure enough, dusty know what I was talking about right away.

Somebody said something to somebody on the phone, and often this big party of people showed up. But the only people who got arrested were three years fiscal.

really.

Yeah.

you made the paper.

Theyd got somebody named death.

Dusty seem to know all about this story, and he even recall they're being an article about IT in the paper back in two thousand four. That seemed pretty surprising to me that a local fight would make the front page news. All accounts, this was not your typical neigh's od fight.

according to which this is the my second fat apparently broke out when a group of Young man from urban bu canis, about ten to fifteen, the number came to the mystic location, ready to fact.

ten to fifteen.

I, I heard there was, like forty years, seven people. Later.

this was a huge raw that involved dozens of people, some reportedly with types in baseball bats. And IT left two men nearly dead, one of them in older man in his mid sixties, who apparently was just trying to break up the fight.

Louis fossil, with the Joseph one.

all this job. Residents.

yeah.

but there one residents in the tours. Strange.

as I read the names of the men and fitch ld, who were charged in this fight, one of those named ring a belt in my head, joy stone, Joseph. One is the guy that I talked to before in the podcast, who told me the story about being in the truck with IT clicked. Joe was someone I had talked to before. I had never mentioned his named in the podcast. But you probably remember hearing .

a story we wrote that all you IT was just a few people of many three shocks around the five. And that was so good, it's so do that. Always can't heard about him and known about a the hole and something happen, how dogs got upset, although he was upset that we were out there or or what if we can funny, we just tell him that was kind of a commotion at Better. sure.

Joe told me about a time back in two thousand five that he had been out there on the peak on orchard. He remember they're being a huge fire, what trucks around IT and both dukes being there, joe SAT in a truck and talk to a guy that he didn't know for about an hour that night.

And I first and in my over over again and IT seems to me that the goals openly was wrong.

Looking back on IT, he thought that IT may have been ryan duke I was talking to in the truck, ironically, a black truck.

as you were called, in a black single capture.

And as I went back to you, listen to this phone call myself, I realize one more detail. He had told me about his conversation in the black truck. What me thinks was .

ryan duke talking about my friend.

He mentioned the fight from two thousand four, according to my first source, bulloon ryans friend circle with the major players in this fight, but they all got off is got free. And according to the paper, joe stone and two other men from fitzJames were the ones charged for the crime. Before I got ahead of myself, I wanted to call joie again. What was his side of the story? I call him back to sea.

The gag at povera. Ed in the face afford his name. He had have that reach the face surgery and see if you, I believe you, read back in that article IT. I mean, I slider, I say that he have, and they didn't use the word allegedly or this, that though I said, you know, I said I hit a go with a pipe, which is totally false, IT is so very strong and that story, that the story that they get, is just total fabrications, like totally made up stories.

Still, nearly thirteen years later, joe stone plead his innocence and claimed that he was just escape goat for both circle of friends. Joe wasn't very close to his friend circle. He only knew them through his friend, who was also charged in the fight.

Lewis was good friends with a guy named josh bouton who ran in the circle of bodgers friends. Josh barton had invited Lewis to the orchard that one night, and he brought a long joy stone. That's when joe SAT in the truck with who he now thinks this ryan duke image.

And Lewis were close, and I had always been close. And I don't you Lewis know the most of people, but he ain't close with nobody. Lucky is josh about we is all party in each year and in about and shows up picture like your come on, let let's go these boys are talk and just less let's go get on IT IT is a solid fact in my man that josh is the one who called us out there.

He was the ring leader who round solo and took us to the fight. He was the man. Now, none of the sillar people there was just finished of people I threw us under of the bus, but, you know, room in my law. But I was all because the josh found it's .

a lot of names to remember. Trust me, I know. But as I learn more and more about the story, I began to see why this might be so important.

According to joe, the fight was essentially started by josh bouton. Joe stone was charged with the fell ony and says it's still handsome today and ask for josh barton and the rest of both friends. They were never charged and joe says that's not by coincidence.

He just said to himself, well, my son's not won't be involved and he didn't involved. He get charged with nothing, even though he was the number one cohorts of IT was the ga. Who started at all. Josh betton .

is the sun of paul belton, the district attorney for the tips and judicial circuit covering iron county. Two men were hospitalized in nearly beaten to death. So this crime was not going unpunished.

And here was a guy who was convinced that the district attorney, paul valden, blamed the fight on him and his two friends in order to shield his son and his close friends from any of the charges. I wasn't there, so I can tell you what happened that night. But if joy story had any truth to IT, IT definitely makes things look a little shady. In the Terry grinstead case.

he was able to put us in jail for nine years, because if we to went to trial and being convicted had been nine years, we had to serve. He was willing to do that to us, save his son, because his son was, he wanted done at all. So I know, personally, they will, that they will lot to cover their own, you know, to help their own people out.

What I get IT from IT and is also, well, I D sad, I want to talk about, insisted about IT before all this career. Instead, stuff broke out. A see me on facebook all the time posted pictures that, like, he was living a good laugh.

And then after that, try to look in out no more, couldn't find them, can be found, no social media. And when I learned that, I was like saying, that is so, so weird. Why would I disappear right at that moment when i've been seen in for years, post a phone, facebook pictures, him and his girlfriends, stuff like that and I was said, and Terry Green state, very exotic in and he's no aware to be failed.

This is a small town. Crich probably go in home for decade, is the same family. The sound like this bring IT all robling down is IT now just know just enough that fair to convert?

Like a how far is he willing to go? Is he is willing to throw three college students from each year in prison for nine years. Son, his son started.

Paul garden is still the district attorney today in his prosecuting ryan duke for the murder of tayer grinstead. The fact the district attorney son was friends with bow ryan at all seemed really strange. Sure, it's a small town, but whit ness be a conflict of interest. I asked dusty what he thought about joe story.

It's probably true, but I could be that he's saying that because he's mad because A D A charge and when these charges. But see, i've always heard about that fact. I mean, it's IT was kind of famous.

I mean, because it's this big pat with a lot of people involved. Often there has always been rumors about there being cover ups for as far as who did IT. And I obviously three gas from fiscal. That's not the name you heard of.

The ones who did that, he was right, would clearly have a reason to be mad about this because he was charged. But the story he told me wasn't only that crazy. If so many others were involved in the fight, why were only three people charged? I called up joy's friend Louis fossil, who was friends with josh barton, and was also charged in the fight.

Which win we get count up in the. So I think paul through us on the bus once might be right. Make do.

I ask luis how well he knew josh about them, and if he knew, bow ryan too.

Something light is that summer just. 他 这个 就是 那个 我看 一下, 我 报 了。

The stories about this fight began to highlight, but I ve always thought was a serious issue, in this case the gag order.

我 再 给 公司 一次 去 买 人民 keep, something 就是。

那 啥 在 那个 不在, 然后 那个 不在, 然后。

Within four days of ryan dux arrest, judge melloni cross signed into effect a gag order preventing all law enforcement suspects and potential witnesses from speaking about the case.

Every news report I read about this claimed the gag order was requested by ryan duc's public defenders john mobile, urban county public defender john mobile, whose representing murder suspect ryan duke, asked for the guy gorder right efforts and was arrested a few weeks after the gager was put into effect. Several prominent media outlets came together to oppose IT, some claiming at the extreme vagues in all encompassing nature of the order was completely unconstitional tional. The media lawyers urged the judge to at least revise her order, limiting who is covered and opening up records that are Normally public record. I was there in the court room that day. On both sides of the courtroom were the two opposing parties pleading their case to the judge.

Laws are justified.

There's a sense of life we would on one side with their representatives from news outlets and their tourneys each making their own argument about why the gag order was unjustified. On the other side of the court room was ryan dux defense attorney, john mobile's, because he was the one who requested the gaga order in the first place. The right john .

mob was .

the only one speaking to the judge that day in favor of the gag order, but he wasn't the only one sitting at the table right there. Beside him was pulled out in the district attorney whose prosecuting mr. Movies client for fellini murder, I am by no means an expert when IT comes to the court process, but this to me appeared incredibly ironic.

Why would the district attorney be there in favor of the gag order to ryan duke? Is not his client? Is IT Normal to go out of your way to show support for something that supposed to give the person your prosecuting a Better chance of fighting off the charges? Or is there more than one reason for this gag order? Every article I could find about the gag order said he was requested by ryan dux attorney.

All but one that is publishing a local fiscal paper called the hero leader on march eighth, two thousand seventeen, was a different story. The article reads the gag order was placed on investigators in the Green steck case by a tiff circuit. Superior county judge remains in place.

One law enforcement official did say that the district attorney's office asked for the gag order as a means to maintain some control over the case information. I hadn't heard that before. If this was true, IT made a lot more since why district attorney y.

Paul about in would be sitting at the table with ryan dux defense attorney that day. The article was written by a man named tim Anderson. I gave him a call to get some clarity on this. The first thing that I asked was where that request for the gag order came from.

All that came from the city s. office. Every defensive torney would ask for a get older. And every time, if I could, you know, that wouldn't be even remotely unusual. But the the D. S reasoning, as I understand that, is that they're worried about and embarrass jury the the attorney for George prayer, whose David hurts and and David knows more about open records in anybody, the state.

He said that the that you know that the law is not written so that you always have to have a death and blind you to have a travel that that pre knowledge um there is not disqualify a jury from the one jury you know so was the deal well, as was too light though I may you know seven years after the fact is not when you try to shut everybody yeah I mean, it's you know that that horses left you know well, I know I I think in one probably did IT, but you know and it's just like the bodies saying, you know that he said obviously was involved in a in a deep and serious way. You know, how do we know if you have involved in our actual murder, you know, and we don't, you know, I think it's a kind of forgone conclusion that you have disposed of the body. But what did you before that you don't we have a right find that out first, I don't know, can be interesting.

Cy, that plays out the court room. They'll be a lot of people trying to keep the truth from coming out for their personal reasons, you know, because their son or their nephew or they're whoever had some environment, they don't want them draw in to IT. So and there's a lot more cover up in small towns in news and big cities because it's personal.

It's is going to be .

an interesting story as IT plays out. I just I just wanted see trip told whatever that is. So you keep back from, i've been known and people's more than once, and you know nobody this might, this might so mad I will get over.

I want to the kind I reach out to you and be on to had like and about doing so I can like, why do you what I think?

One week after ryan dux arrest, I got a random phone call from a Young man and osla. He seemed overwhelmed by all the new information, as did I. But I couldn't really understand why he .

was calling me my grandfather, which I really, really even hear about this case. My grandfather was actually the one when rome is in the court for he was one standing like next join where you can see on camera and matter fact, most of the pictures that are in there that my grandfather that's walking out the whole thing just bad for me. I'm looking at everybody's point of view when i'm reading in your pocket you do you have all these suspects.

But then last week, the game change that changed everything we thought we do about this case, who we thought would have been in. I've been studying in this case, ever sense that have been I do know that I saw the ground live in pleasure league, which is crazy because that about the relies from my grandfathers self. This happened in a little sounds of one red light man where everybody knows everything.

He mentioned several times to me about his grandfather having worked closely on the case, and that he was the one standing next ion duke in the courtroom. That day, I learned nothing substantial in our cal, but I told him to keep in touch. Four months later, just a few weeks ago, he texted me.

He said, how was my grandfather related to ryan? He sent me this text shortly after I released last. So where I air this phone call.

I could tell you, say that wouldn't your hair stay on the end? Lian is related to nail some point. Who is the deputy that walked him into the courtroom for his arrange? That deg. Is deputy share?

Was Nelson pok this guys grandfather to a fresher memory? Nelson pol k. Was an officer at the own county share of department. And supposedly IT was Nelson poke and another officer named alan Morgan, who performed that.

searching the peak on, or her back in two thousand. Five part of that fast investigation is a couple of weeks actually went missing in that picking orchard.

I called them back immediately. In this time, he gave me a lot more detail about what he was trying to tell me. The first time he called, he told me that even before the gag order throughout the years, his grandfather, Nelson pok, never told him much about this case. Even when he asked him about IT.

every time i've ever asked him about this case, you tried to like brush IT off and you have to do, or anything like that. And IT is member or whatever they tell you so but I mean, everything about this case, they can push whenever this first happened or whatever. You never said anything about IT.

He never talked about IT. I remember looking him in A I and he just he just looked like he has something like heavy way on his man, like something you can no a call that forever, something just the man of dark. I asked, how was the case going to any to do anything to come up in the case I was going on and he didn't say anything to mean that day.

And this was after, uh, two days after they brought run in with the rain at what I 相对 的, 我 妈妈 我不知道 里面, 然后 他 and 儿子 那里 是 怎么样 都 知道 的。 Not easy women to tell you to. Me twenty thirty years.

The fact of me and a wait, and that is not long pool with me to just sit back anymore, this is not going to try. This matters i've ever see and you don't know a hell of a job uncover. And that is just this point from me of power for a murder my own. the. In the right now .

he was extremely bothered by this, but who wouldn't be to afford this case your whole life, to hear over a decade later your grandpa's name? That would be pretty a lemming. Ironically, less than ten minutes later, his grandfather called him.

hey, you know, once we talk, do that are you like in a control place we can talk like, yeah, I know a lot stuff has been like me and said that going on this case and everything and i've just been hearing your name so around a lie, I just really come like concerned about you and one of you like, know what's go in on because are you related to run all yeah just keep thinking all that one day or that though I ve never made well I know that I mean I having thought I wasn't call and like to european and I I just do, I mean, just went from being a case about terror.

So I mean, people I want my family members around and I just wanted i've been wanted to talk to you did not to like approach you about IT because I didn't want you to think that, you know, I was accusing you of anything. I was just like that saying, like you were in my grandfather game around and I mean, they they get all in the podcast about how you and some got Allen Morgan went, did like original search on tera, the Peter, something like that. This is actually rat.

We did that was a gap. And I would have to an another, mainly woman, and then to history and tell them that I was at the party and in the city. He did all of this. They got me an animal and we made when we went to the begin, searched in, get back from him and change over to the G, B A for the G, B A in the mail.

That which is all different on new age is says, well, it's not in the, is not in the file, is not in the file is so with the his boss man and told him and he came back, of course, you've got a statement from me and from that god, oh yeah, we knew about this last two months that SHE disappeared at the gb.
