The delays reflect a growing lack of confidence in theatrical distribution amid the current spread of COVID-19 and its more infectious Delta variant. Paramount aims to draw a large audience with each of these films and sees 2022 as a healthier theatrical marketplace to open them in.
(Side note) Dune will be in theaters and on HBO Max, only on the Ad-Free plan streaming in the US for 31 days from its theatrical release. The release date is Oct. 22, 2021. HBO Max currently costs $15 a month without advertising.

(Side note) The Marvels director Nia DaCosta, fresh off of Candyman, says working with Marvel was the best experience she's ever had with a studio.( this makes me want to see the eternals a little more because I was wondering if marvel was going to control the vision of the movie from Chloe Zhao) makes since why Thor, Winter Solider, and Avengers end game were such good movies.
