Meanwhile, monetization efforts are advancing on dual fronts: enhancing consumer fixed wireless access while developing specialized enterprise services including RedCap IoT, security slicing, mission-critical communications, and innovative space/aerial connectivity solutions.

The convergence of AI with telecommunications creates fascinating bidirectional impacts. Networks are being enhanced with embedded AI to improve efficiency and performance, while simultaneously evolving to support the unique demands of AI applications. This evolution opens new revenue opportunities through "network as a service" offerings for sovereign AI deployments and multi-tenant enterprise AI services.

Perhaps most exciting is the imminent arrival of augmented reality glasses as the first truly disruptive form factor since smartphones revolutionized mobile computing. With over 2 billion spectacle wearers globally as the initial addressable market, these AI-enabled devices could achieve mass adoption within 18 months.

Looking further ahead, Stephen shares his vision for the fusion of quantum computing with AI, eventually leading to neuromorphic computing – brain-inspired networks that will fundamentally transform how our world operates within the next 15 years.
