roll down the window 摇下车窗

如果是打开家里的窗户，open the window这个说法绝对没问题，但打开车窗不能这么翻译。

因为车窗需要我们手动摇下来，车上有相应的按钮或把手，不像家里门窗可以直接用手拉开。所以开关车窗不应该说open和close，而要用roll。

roll sth up （转动把手）关闭

roll up the window 摇上车窗；关上车窗

roll sth down 摇开；旋开

roll down the window （转动把手）摇下车窗；打开车窗

透透气用英语怎么说？

开窗是为了透气，促进空气流通，我想出去透气是I want to breathe fresh air吗？这样翻译就太啰嗦了。

其实，透气的英文表达非常简单，常用的有下面几种。

need some air/get some air 透透气

想去透气直接用need some air和get some air就可以了，这也是最常见的表达。

breathable [ˈbriːðəbl] 透气的

多形容可以透气的衣服布料。

ventilate [ˈventɪleɪt] 通风；通气

表示让房间等建筑物通风，well-ventilated room就是通风良好的房间。

let in some air 透透气

let in是允许进入的意思，let in some air就是让空气进来，也就是透气。

例句

fly out of the window≠从窗户飞出去

fly/go out of the window 完全消失

这个表达不要简单理解为从窗户里飞出去，而是说某件东西已经飞远了，真正的意思是完全消失，用英语解释就是disappear completely。

write an invoice 开发票

发票是cheque，开支票的英文不是open a cheque。
