New Words: trick [trɪk] n.花招;把戏; Manger ['meɪn(d)ʒə] n.马槽;牛槽   go to the dogs:堕落、垮台、完蛋、毁灭 – something is becoming worse than it normally was   Many things in our home have gone to the dogs during the last 3 months. 2. You can’t teach an old dog new tricks:老狗学不了新把戏; -you cannot make others change their habits   I tried to make my grandmother learn how to use a smartphone but it was just like you can’t teach an old dog new tricks. 3. dog in the manger:占着茅坑不拉X -a person who selfishly keeps something that he or she does not really need or want so that others may not use or enjoy it   Stop being such a dog in the manger and let your sister ride your bike if you’re not using it.
