在社会科学中，存在着所谓的“最后一公里”悖论——研究者们将在实验室当中获得的理想状态下的研究成果应用于解决实际时，总会遇到各种各样难以“落地”的问题。但今天我们的嘉宾——来自斯坦福心理系的赵轩老师的研究，让我看到了心理学家们解决现实问题的决心与能力。

无论是以即兴表演游戏为灵感打造个人互动游戏探究合作和人际沟通等课题，还是设计同理心课程将心理学知识应用于社会创新项目，或是与社交媒体平台合作增强平台的包容性，以及为对冲基金设计培训内容减少投资人对于少数群体的偏见，Xuan的研究部分回答了我所好奇的社会心理学研究“So what”的疑惑。

目前Xuan就职于斯坦福大学的心理系，在SPARQ (Social Psychological Answers to Real-World Questions)中担任研究科学家(Research Scientist)的职位。

认知失调(Cognitive Dissonance)：在心理学中形容人产生矛盾的认知，观察到对立的讯息。这些讯息包括人的行为、情绪、想法、信念、价值观、信仰，外界环境中的事物等。认知失调通常体现为因进行与自己的思想、价值或自我概念相悖的行为而产生的心理压力或焦虑。

根据利昂·费斯廷格提出的认知失调的理论，为了缓解认知失调的压力与不适，人会努力更改矛盾的认知，使自己的认知调和一致。

“第二城”喜剧团（The Second City）是美国的即兴喜剧团。该团体基于美国芝加哥，培养了包括Tina Fey, Stephen colbert在内的一大批知名喜剧演员，并且为企业提供基于即兴表演游戏的创新和领导力培训工作坊。
