Happy Meditation Monday. Oh, this is going to be a good one. I'm so excited for today's meditation. I know and believe that it's going to put all of us in just such a great high vibration to really get this week going. Today's meditation has a little bit of a story behind it. We're going to be meditating on finding gratitude for where you are right now.

I don't think that it comes as a surprise when I say this, but it is so easy for so many of us to, especially if you're like a goal setter and you're, you know, somebody who likes to go and achieve things. It's really easy for us to constantly look ahead at what we don't have or what we want to go after and sort of in that subconsciously have this feeling of,

of lack or less than or not enoughness because we're not yet where we want to be. We don't yet have what we're going to have or what we want to have.

And I am here and I know that you know this too. So this is just your reminder that we can find gratitude exactly where we are right now, no matter what, no matter how dire our situation might be, no matter how heavy a season is that we are in, no matter how bleak things really look, there are always blessings here.

So I want to tell this story. So I've been going back and forth with a friend of mine. Our families are really good friends. You know, our husbands have been friends since they were little. And now we're we've been together, raised kids together. So our families go on vacation a lot. And here in the States, we're coming towards the end of the school year. And and it's getting time to sort of start planning summer.

So very long story short, my friend and I are talking about planning a trip to the Keys. Okay. So here in Florida, I live in Florida and the Florida Keys is like this chain of

beautiful islands at the very tip of the end of Florida. They're gorgeous. I love the Keys. I have felt called to the Keys for many, many years, even before I met my husband. When I met him, I introduced him to the Keys. We spent a lot of time down there. It's a very special place for us. We got married in the Keys.

And since then we've gone regularly and we haven't gone in like two years. And so, you know, both of us, if you have a special spot that is meaningful to you, you know what I'm talking about, where your heart is just calling to like be there.

So we're talking about how we're vacationing and where we're going to go and, you know, getting the kids there and all that fun stuff and where we're going to stay. And I was reminded as we're making the plans and finalizing the details, I was reminded about she said something about like, oh, let's find a place in Key West. And I what came out of my mouth was I've never gone to Key West without like a ninety nine dollar budget for the entire trip.

And what I meant by that was back in the day, pre kids, when my husband and I would go down there and we were in our, what I'd like to call our peanut butter and jelly years. I will, you'll sure hear more of those stories from me throughout the time we have together. But we had very little money and, but we would still somehow make it to the keys. And I remember having like a 90, like a hundred dollar budget. I was like, okay, we've got a hundred bucks.

We've got a tank of gas. Let's go to the Keys. Let's figure it out. And we would get like the cheap Roach Motel, you know, we would eat off the dollar menu and the chunk of the money we would save for Sunset Cruise, which was like the biggest splurge for us. And we would legit do a long weekend down there with 100 bucks.

And what came to me as I was, you know, about to book this hotel that is not a roach motel that, you know, looks very different. I was like, wow, like two things. Number one, that where I am now is where that version of me all those years ago, 15, 16 years ago, used to want to get to.

So there's an enormous amount of gratitude that sort of like welled up in me for that. Like, wow, look at where we are. How cool is it that we can stay at this hotel, right? And the second thing that came up for me was remembering the joy I felt back then because I was very grateful for that back then. I never felt a lack. I never felt like, oh, we're so poor. Like I never had that attitude. I very much had the attitude like,

We're excited. We're going to the Keys and we've got a hundred bucks. Like, let's go. So that is the energy with which I want to bring to this meditation today. No matter where you find yourself financially, relationally, you know, physically, health-wise, everything, no matter where you are, I want us to bring to the forefront all of the gratitude that we have for everything that is right now. Okay? So,

If you're at a place where you can, go ahead and close your eyes with me and give yourself a minute just to get comfortable bringing your attention into your breath and without changing anything dramatically about your breath, just allowing you to follow its rhythm in and out, in and out, naturally feeling your shoulders drop a little, letting the breath soften your belly.

and letting this little bit of silence make you more aware of any of the thoughts spinning around in your mind. And then just see if you can imagine every single out breath releases a few more of those thoughts. Breathing in and gathering them, breathing out and releasing, breathing in, breathing out. Let your breath elongate just a little bit

Breathing in just a little deeper on your inhale and just a little bit further on your exhale. Feeling your in-breath expand you. Feeling your out-breath relax you. Now see if you can imagine yourself barefoot with your toes in the sand at the beach. Just looking out onto the open ocean. The sunset slowly coming.

as the sun lowers to the horizon. You breathe in the salty air and feel it cleanse you. You hear the music of the birds, the waves, and the wind singing for you. In this moment right here, there's so much to be grateful for. So become aware of any thoughts in your mind or feelings in your body of less than.

Any voice might say, that might be saying, "I'm not where I want to be yet." Or, "I don't have what I want to have yet." See if you can just observe that voice or observe those feelings and then breathe them out. And then as you do, notice the space in front of you, the ocean in front of you is open and clear. What do you have to be grateful for? Let that question allow

the feelings and the thoughts to arise. What do you have to be grateful for? Take a moment to focus on your body and all the magical machinery that is making you breathe right now. Making your muscles work, making your eyes see, your ears hear, and your voice make sound. Feel a warmth come over your body, a sense of gratitude,

for the life and the strength that your body gives to you every day. Now, see if you can think about the people in your life who love you and whom you love, the relationships that create a beautiful canvas for your entire life's experience. Who are you grateful for? Who has been a listening ear for you?

Who has been a cheerleader? Who has helped you and taken on burdens that you can no longer carry? Who has poured their love into you? Who has made you feel seen? Imagine all of these people standing beside you on the shore, holding hands and bringing lightness to your heart. Now think of the finances in your life.

And no matter what the data of bank accounts might say in front of you, think about all the ways that money is supporting you right now. That money is allowing you a place to live, food to eat, clothes to wear. And then take a few moments to think of all the other ways that money is supporting you, that money is working for you.

And if any thoughts that are dark or critical arise, just breathe them out as you focus on the good. Now, bring your hands to your heart and we'll take just a little bit more time to breathe in the good, to sit here on the beach and soak in the sun of goodness and blessings that are here for us. Now go ahead and drop your arms.

take a big deep breath in and before you open your eyes I want you to think about this question who can you be today or what can you do today to be a part of somebody else's gratitude how can you give love to others into the world in a way that shares this beautiful vibration of blessings go ahead and slowly open your eyes how do you feel
